The first full-length trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three has just hit (via Toonado.com), and it teases what looks to be a high-stakes finale to this animated trilogy (and the Tomorrowverse as we know it).
With the Anti-Monitor on the loose, a whole host of heroes assemble to save the Multiverse, but it looks like that will be easier said than done when they also have Lex Luthor to contend with. Several other villains are also spotted, including The Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face.
In terms of cameos, the trailer ends with another Batman: The Animated Series tease. Batman Beyond also appears, but perhaps the biggest surprise comes when we return to the world of the Super Friends!
The Saturday morning cartoon aired between 1973 and 1985 on ABC and was produced by Hanna-Barbera. That classic animation style returns here and we're hoping the movie has even...

Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Cover Art Reveals The Movie's Lead Characters
When the news broke during last year's San Diego Comic-Con that the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book was being turned into a three-part animated movie, DC fans rejoiced.
The CW previously adapted the story for the Arrowverse, but this version had the opportunity to bring together countless animated characters from across the Dcau in an ambitious retelling of the story. Unfortunately, the opening two chapters have been mostly disappointing.
There's still a chance it will end on a high note, of course, and a first look at Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three's cover art has now found its way online (via Toonado.com).
Recreating the iconic shot of Superman holding the downed Supergirl, we also see Mister Terrific, Batman, Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Hourman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker. Looming in the background is the massive Anti-Monitor.
While a Watchmen movie is still expected to be released later this year,...

Clint Eastwood has been the inspiration behind many things, but to think he was the inspiration behind Wonder Woman is pretty wild to consider. When director Jeff Wamester was tasked with putting the iconic trio of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman into interesting new backdrops and environments, he knew precisely how to handle Wonder Woman.
Thus, he birthed a “Clintina Eastwood.” In the latest installment of the dynamic DC animated Tomorrowverse, titled Justice League: Warworld, viewers can explore these legendary superheroes in a never-before-seen way.

One of DC’s most popular and successful animated series was Justice League: The Animated Series that aired on Cartoon Network between 2001 and 2004. Based on the Justice League of America comics, the show which was a sequel to the Batman and Superman animated series, reached out to a wide audience who turned into hardcore buffs on the franchise.
A still from Justice League: The Animated Series
One of the main reasons for the popularity of the animated series was the various interesting trivia and facts that it carried with regard to DC storylines and its tributes to actors who played cult DC characters. One of them was Mark Hamill whose portrayal as Trickster in the 1990 series The Flash, was adapted beautifully into the show.

Last year was a standout year for animation, and 2024 is already shaping up to be another banger. While a majority of the high-profile animation releases are due out later this summer, the first quarter of 2024 has already been promising. We at /Film are constantly singing the praises of animation as a medium, and doing our best to course-correct the ignorant idea that animation is only for children. Admittedly, this list is going to look mighty small for the time being, but it will be updated throughout the year as more films become available. As we noted last year, animation is one of the only mediums where global cinema is given an equal footing to studio-produced films in America, with the artistic visuals serving as a universal language that we can all enjoy. Meaning, this list is not limited to Hollywood animation releases ... and that's a good thing. As for now,...

Jennifer Garner was known for portraying the superhero Elektra in both Daredevil and her titular film. But before she nabbed the role, Stana Katic had her eyes set on the character as well.

Katic is no stranger to superhero projects. She’s voiced some of comic books’ most iconic characters across a few forms of media. This included playing Talia Al Ghul in the video game Batman: Arkham City, and Wonder Woman in the animated film Justice Society: World War II. She even felt her character in Castle, Kate Beckett, was a superhero in her own right.
“I think she’s like a female superhero on television, and we’re slowly exploring more and more of that,” Katic once told Collider. “She’s got a tremendous amount of integrity. I’ve gotten to do more stunts lately, which is really cool.

Actors Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic were once reportedly at odds with each other on the set of Castle. Neither have corroborated the reports. But if there’s one thing the two actors didn’t see eye-to-eye on, it was the relationship between the characters.

Back in the earlier years of Castle, the series was known to play up the romantic tension between Fillion’s and Katic’s characters. The two led completely different lives before crossing paths. Fillion’s Richard Castle was a crime novelist, whereas Katic’s Kate Beckett was a real-life officer. When Castle started investigating crimes alongside Kate, he sometimes proved to be a valuable asset to the police. This led to Castle gradually earning both the character’s respect and attention over time.

Bomer’s earnest portrayal of The Flash echoes the character’s Silver Age origins, while Lathrop and North contribute essential enthusiasm and finesse to their respective roles. Despite the film’s shortcomings, the voice actors bring their characters to life with notable performances.
What’s Bad: The film’s emotional core, the love tale between Barry Allen and Iris West, needs more depth, leaving the audience detached. The film struggles with internal contradictions, attempting to...

"There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people: psychopaths and mystery writers. I'm the kind that pays better."
And with those words, the ABC series Castle (2009-2016) became one of our favorite shows. It was witty, amusing, and heartfelt. It was a show with a unique talent for making murder fun.
The two lead characters, writer Richard Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, and Detective Kate Beckett, played by Stana Katic, had sexual chemistry so hot it could melt your screen.
But the show lost its luster somewhere between the wildly entertaining Castle Season 1 and the slog that was Castle Season 8. It wasn’t one big thing -- well, maybe there was one big thing -- but a lot of little missteps and missed opportunities that disappointed fans over the years.

For its most recent animated feature, Justice League: Warworld, DC returns to the Tomorrowverse, which has been the setting for Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and Legion of Super-Heroes among others. It’s also a return to “R” rated animation and it’s easy to see why as the film has barely begun when Wonder Woman starts taking out cowboys with bloody headshots.
Yes, I said cowboys. It seems she’s managed to not only end up in the Old West but she’s gotten herself on the wrong side of Jonah Hex and his men.

Some stars are born for the limelight, and they know where they belong long before they make their debut. Stana Katic knew at the age of four that she was meant to be an actress. She loved performing in plays, dancing, and playing musical instruments which nurtured her love for the arts. Katic is skilled in fencing, archery, and scuba diving, but she still loves to be on screen when she can. While Stana Katic has taken a step back from the limelight in recent years, she hasn’t closed the chapter entirely because she’s still appeared in some movies and series in...

Nathan Fillion has appeared in two beloved ABC shows — Castle and The Rookie. Castle aired for eight seasons on the network and ended in 2016. The Rookie premiered in 2018 and is in the middle of airing its fifth season. And Fillion is dedicated to paying homage to his previous show in his new one. Unfortunately, fans shouldn’t anticipate one Castle star to appear in The Rookie.

One of the main reasons Castle was so popular during its heyday was because of the “will they/won’t they” slow-burn relationship between Richard Castle and Kate Beckett, played by Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic.
Of course, everyone also loved the other side characters, especially Jon Huertas’ Javier Esposito and Seamus Dever’s Kevin Ryan.

ABC‘s The Rookie Season 5 is currently on a hiatus, but we refuse to stop writing about the procedural series. And the first topic we want to touch upon is John Nolan and Bailey Nune’s relationship. They first met during the season 3 finale and are a relatively cute couple. However, when we see Nolan and Bailey onscreen while watching The Rookie, we feel nothing. And we believe that there’s an expiration date to their romance.

After attending Angela Lopez and Wesley Evers’ almost wedding in the season 3 finale of The Rookie, Nolan and Bailey officially became a couple in season 4. Their relationship moved quickly, and just a few episodes later, Nolan was ready to propose. However, the appearance of Bailey’s ex-con husband, Jason, put a damper on things.

Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd had unbeatable chemistry on Moonlighting. In fact, their chemistry could be so volatile the show ultimately could not continue, although the success of Die Hard and other movie offers probably would’ve been an irresistible force for Willis regardless. At least there were five seasons of Moonlighting, all available on DVD and creator Glenn Gordon Caron is working on getting them available on streaming services. Until then, here are 10 other shows to capture the chemistry and comic mystery if you like Moonlighting.

“Call Your Mother” (ABC)
Kyra Sedgwick’s foray into multi-cam comedy proved short-lived: the network pulled the plug after just one season.
“For Life” (ABC)
ABC pulled the plug on this drama series, but there might be a renewal elsewhere in its future.
“mixed-ish” (ABC)
The Mark-Paul Gosselaar/Tika Sumpter-starring “black-ish” spinoff lasted two seasons.
“Rebel” (ABC)
The cancellation of this decently-rated debut series loosely based on the life of Erin Brockovich was so shocking even its leading lady Katey Sagal had something to say about it.
Absentia (Amazon Prime)
Stana Katic’s “Castle” follow-up proved to not have the same staying power, with its third season being its last.
“All Rise” (CBS)

It has been said, Very often, that Warner Bros’ animated DC movies are the highlight of the DC cinematic universe – often surpassing their live-action counterparts in terms of performance and story, with more animated hits than live-action misses. The long-running series of animated movies was recently rebooted, no longer needing to fit into the continuity of The New 52, under the “DC Universe Movies” banner… the latest of which is Justice Society: World War II.
The film finds modern-day Barry Allen – prior to the formation of the Justice League – discovering he can run even faster than he imagined, and that milestone results in his first encounter with the Speed Force. The Flash...

Amazon is taking self-quarantine to a whole ‘nother level in the newly released trailer for its anthology series Solos.
Spanning seven episodes, Solos “explores the strange, beautiful, heartbreaking, hilarious, wondrous truths of what it means to be human,” per the official description. Comic fandom has crossed so thoroughly into the mainstream, that mass media is proving elastic enough to encompass what was previously considered the obscure. Case in point, the just-released Justice Society: World War II direct-to-video film. Here is a story focused on the first comic book team that finally gets the spotlight after making cameos and guest appearances on animated and live-action television productions dating back to Smallville.
