- TriviaSeven and a half million dollars of the budget came from New Mexico through an interest-free loan. In return, the state received two and a half percent of the box-office, until it made ninety million dollars or over, at which point, they received three percent of the gross.
- GoofsThe trailer of the big rig that crashes at the end has several damaged areas on it that were not there prior to the crash. (Possibly from an earlier take that didn't go right and damaged the trailer.)

Original idea ... surprisingly thoughtful.
Having read the negative reviews I went into this with eyes open (pardon the pun) expecting absolutely nothing-nothing special nothing terrible and nothing likely I'd stick with til the end. But I was pleasantly surprised and a little confused too but not so as to deter me from scanning as many spoilers as it takes to explain. I didn't find the start to be particularly slow and at just over an hour and a half it was a quick challenging puzzle that waited until the end to unfold. I like movies that keep me in suspense without tricks or red herrings. When an offbeat movie gets so full of itself that being different becomes louder than the story itself, then It's not so different after all. But this one - this one was different indeed.
