Actor-director Michael B Jordan, whose latest film ‘Creed 3’ has hit the screens, has shared his thought process behind making Los Angeles city as a character in the film. The actor said in a statement: “Since we were kinda treating this like an origin story, a sequel and a trilogy all in one, we thought it was important to make Los Angeles a character, a homecoming of sorts. And then you break it down further like what childhood trauma did the characters share? So we leaned into the reality of those environments.”
Along with Jordan, the film also stars Jonathan Majors, who portrays the character of Damian Anderson – the former close friend of Adonis. Tony ‘Little Duke’ Evers is played by Wood Harris, while Viktor Drago is played by Florian Munteanu.
Michael further mentioned: “And then that type of area where Black families lived and thrived, who had money. Where would Apollo Creed be at?...

John Wayne was a Hollywood legend for decades, and his rugged individuality was a big part of his image. It's hard to imagine a guy best known for playing a lonesome cowboy as a ladies' man, but before he starred in Westerns, studios hadn't quite nailed down Wayne's image. The actor found his brief stint as a romantic comedy actor so embarrassing that he almost hung up his cowboy hat for good before ever becoming a household name.
Before he was America's movie cowboy, the Duke's early work like "Brown of Harvard" and "Girls Demand Excitement" featured a sports edge. "I should've been playing on the National Football Team in 1928," Wayne explained in a 1976 interview, per The Bobby Wygant Archive.
Wayne starred in his first feature-length cowboy film in 1930, titled "The Big Trail," but the studio wasn't sure that they saw him as a cowboy just yet. Here's what he...

It’s not often in a career that having your hard work go by unnoticed is actually the ultimate compliment. Movie crews, almost uniformly across any filmmaking disciplines, find themselves in this nebulous zone where the less their work stands out, the more accolades they get from critics, peers and audiences. If costumes stand out, the characters feel a bit off. If set decoration draws attention, it doesn’t seem like the story is grounded in a real-life environment.
Stunts may be the only exception to the rule. Seeing daring escapades on screen becomes the bait to get audiences into seats. Who didn’t have great expectations of what Tom Cruise and company would pull off in “Top Gun: Maverick”?
A movie like “Glass Onion” might be a great mystery, but audiences aren’t clamoring to see it because of the amazing stunt work. But maybe they should. (Spoilers ahead.

The race is on to bring the already notorious ‘Wagatha Christie’ defamation trial to our screens, following this week’s conclusion at London’s High Court.
The battle between footballers’ wives Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy (married to Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy respectively) concluded after two and a half long years, with the judge ruling in favour of Rooney. Vardy had originally brought the case to court, claiming defamation after Rooney unveiled her as the culprit behind a roll-call of stories about her and her family leaked to the press. Rooney had laid a trap for Vardy restricting her Instagram account so that she knew who could see her posts, leading to the day she announced on social media the results of her investigation, saying, “It’s….. Rebekah Vardy.” Thus was #WagathaChristie born.
When Vardy’s case for libel finally arrived in the British courtroom, weeks of witness statements...

Two couples, a pleasant house, plenty of wine, and some arcing sexual current: Could there be a theatrical vehicle with a more interchangeable set of parts? Theresa Rebeck keeps squirting dramaturgical WD40 into her whirring contraption of a play Poor Behavior and, for a while, it works. Unctuously clever dialogue oozes out of Ian, the cynical Irishman (Brian Avers). His wife, the mercurial Maureen (Heidi Armbruster), careens into wittily unhinged rants. Marital arguments click smoothly along fixed tracks. It’s always entertaining to watch a weekend in the country speed so efficiently toward disaster. Soon enough, though, the machine starts to creak, giving off a clangor of whys and whines and reproaches that you can hear rumbling toward a huffy exit from ten minutes away.In a Primary Stages production at the Duke on 42nd Street, director Evan Cabnet tries to make Poor Behavior seem rooted and specific. The front...

As fans of action movies we have to sit through some truly horrible movies just to enjoy the scenes where a big action hero makes his appearance and makes some smart assed comment. This is what I thought I’d be getting with Battle of the Damned. The thing is though, when you put Dolph Lundgren, robots and some questionable zombies together you actually get quite a good movie!

The White Queen has grown into the perfect Sunday night fodder; it’s handsome, not taxing, and increasingly engaging…
This review contains spoilers.
We meet the King this week in the latter stages of his Raging Bull transformation. Two decades on the throne had turned him from a pin-up into a health warning; fat, bearded, and sallow-skinned, Edward was not long for this world. (In keeping with TV’s anchor man dynamic in which men get older but women’s faces are frozen just before they hit thirty, forty-six-year-old Elizabeth’s ageing was economically achieved by someone hiding her Touche Éclat).
The clock had fast-forwarded to 1483 in The White Queen. Edward and Elizabeth’s gaggle of princes and princesses had grown up, as had young Henry Tudor, whose exile in Brittany was approaching its end. To those new faces were added two more, Doctor Who...
