When was the last time a joke had you gasping for air, laughter spilling uncontrollably? In an absolutely cheeky banter, Kai Cenat just gifted Kevin Hart a stepping stool on his livestream (via Instagram)—a gesture that’s sparking conversations louder than a thunderclap in a silent valley.
The jest, which we could actually brand as Cenat’s brutal joke with Hart, has the internet buzzing, hitting harder than Dwayne Johnson’s witty one-liners. As someone who has tracked the pulse of comedy streams, we can affirm that the blend of audacity and humor in Cenat’s prank mirrors what we’ve seen in past collaborations among celebrities.

Kerr se convirtió en un icono del deporte durante los años 90 y principios de los 2000. Sin embargo, su vida fuera del octágono estuvo marcada por una lucha constante con la adicción a los analgésicos y otros problemas personales.

Whenever one hears Dwayne Johnson’s name, there are a lot of things that come to mind. Smashing villains left, right and center, taking on the unthinkable, and, occasionally, providing comic relief to a story. What you don’t associate him with are roles that receive critical acclaim, a performance that makes the critics sit up and take notice. But The Rock is looking to remedy that with his next movie, The Smashing Machine.

Chris Pratt paid tribute to his late stunt double Tony McFarr in a heartfelt message on social media in which Pratt remembered their time on several movie sets together. McFarr was Pratt’s stunt double on some of the actor’s biggest films, including the “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Jurassic World” franchises. McFarr died May 13 at the age of 47.
“Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr,” Pratt wrote. “We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set. I’ll never forget his toughness. I remember he took a nasty shot to the head (in the title sequence of ‘Guardians 2’) and got several staples in his head came right back to work ready to go again. He was an absolute stud.”
“He was always a gentleman and professional,” Pratt added. “He’ll be missed.

Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd are set to star in “Power Ballad” a musical comedy from John Carney, who directed “Once” and “Sing Street.” They are currently filming in Dublin.
“Power Ballad” was written by Carney and Peter McDonald. The official logline for the film reads, “An uplifting music-driven story about a wedding singer, a rock star and the song that comes between them.”
Jonas and Rudd are both known for their work on-screen with Jonas’ credits including “Camp Rock,” Scream Queens” and “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” and a TV performance of “Jersey Boys Live!” Rudd is known for “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” “Only Murders In The Building,” “Knocked Up” and Marvel’s Ant-Man films.
However, both of them have stacked Broadway credits, too. Jonas started acting on Broadway at seven years old. He’s been in “Les Misérables,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Hairspray,” “Annie Get Your Gun” and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying...

John Cena is one of the most respected and adored figures in Hollywood. He has made a name for himself through various pursuits, being successful as both an actor and a wrestler. He has become iconic in many ways and entered the fabric of popular culture. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently made his grand return to wrestling with the WWE, but the star might be taking his "heel" persona a little too far these days.
There's absolutely nothing unusual in Hollywood when it comes to the delicate art of managing high-profile egos -- just ask Vin Diesel, who knows all too well from his days bumping heads with his famous co-star during the "Fast and Furious" saga -- but things seem to have escalated to a whole new level on the set of Amazon Studios' upcoming Christmas film "Red One." That's the latest scuttlebutt according to extensive reporting by Umberto Gonzalez of The Wrap, who paints an alarming picture of habitual lateness, deeply unprofessional behavior, and producing inexperience in several crucial roles. All of these factors seem to have come together to turn what was initially envisioned as a straight-to-streaming original and a potential franchise starter...

The road to movie stardom for Dwayne Johnson is one of the unlikeliest in recent memory. A third-generation professional wrestler known the world over as “The Rock,” Johnson nabbed a supporting role in 2001’s “The Mummy Returns” and made such an impression that he starred in a successful stand-alone film, “The Scorpion King,” the very next year.
As his film career progressed, it became evident that, despite his success in action films, Johnson had a distinct flair for comedy, which he began to show off in such films as “Be Cool” (2005), “Central Intelligence” (2016), “Moana” (2016) and in his biggest-grossing film, “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” (2017). One of the most recent was “Jungle Cruise” (2021) for Disney.
But it’s in high-concept action cinema that Johnson has found his greatest success, especially after hopping aboard the highly lucrative “Fast and Furious” franchise. He even got his own spin-off adventure, “Hobbs & Shaw” (2019), which...

Johnson’s producing partner Hiram Garcia attempted to explain the reasons behind this back in 2022. It appeared from Garcia’s revelations that The Scorpion King star’s commitment to DC and his character Black Adam could have been the deciding factor behind a film like Rampage not getting the greenlight for a sequel. As fate would have it, Johnson’s long-term desires for DC went up in smoke.

Dwayne Johnson and Tom Cruise are two of the top-billed actors in Hollywood at present. Both actors have become the go-to for action films, and they deliver high-stakes action in every film they appear in.
Cruise and Johnson have had to work hard to get to this point in their careers, and their contribution to the genre cannot be quantified. They each have their own unique traits, and for Cruise, it is his running style. This is why, when their styles were compared, Johnson had to come to his own defense.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s recent Jumanji films have reignited excitement for the franchise, but fans are confused about the title of the next installment. The debate centers on whether it should be called Jumanji 3 or Jumanji 5.
Robin Williams, Bradley Pierce, and Kirsten Dunst in Jumanji
The confusion stems from how the Jumanji franchise has changed over time. There’s the original movie with Robin Williams and the newer reboot series with The Great One.
Suggested“He has Jumanji 5 coming out”: One Hollywood Actor Makes Even Joe Rogan Feel Lazy and It’s Not Dwayne Johnson
So, fans are unsure if the next movie follows the original story, making it Jumanji 3, or if it’s part of the reboot series, which would make it Jumanji 5. Plus, there’s also confusion about whether Jumanji 4 would be happening or not.

Scottish actress Karen Gillan is certainly one of the hottest young stars of the modern era, best known for playing or playing Amy Pond, a primary companion to the Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who, as well as Nebula in the MCU. But, one of her recent major roles has also been in the reboot/sequels of the Jumanji film series, where she portrayed Ruby Roundhouse, a character from the game.
The original Jumanji movie starring the late Robin Williams has become a children’s classic and the series was continued with a soft reboot/sequel titled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle back in 2017. The movie starred Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and – of course – Gillan, all of whom reprised their roles in the 2019 sequel, Jumanji: The Next Level.

Jumanji is a film that had its fair share of jumpscares but was overall a beloved film that several grown-ups today remember watching fondly. However, a theory has been making the rounds on Reddit, which paints the entire film in a much darker and sinister light.
Robin Williams in Jumanji (1995)
According to the theory, Jumanji as a game has a lot more dire consequences than we realize. This stems from the fact that when the game ends in the present, Alan and Sarah find themselves back in the past, back to when they started the game. Not only that, but they also remember everything that transpired in the timeline, even though it has never occurred.

Dwayne Johnson seems to have a lot on his plate at the moment. From being introduced to Tko Group Holdings as a member of the Board of Directors to stepping in the ring as his in-ring persona The Rock and duking it out with other superstars of the WWE. But at the same time, it seems like he’s still focused on his future in the film industry with several projects down the line.
Dwayne Johnson in a still from Monday Night Raw
While his most famous project at the moment might be his upcoming biopic film about former UFC Heavyweight Champion Mark Kerr, titled The Smashing Machine, there were also talks about a sequel to his film Jungle Cruise with Disney down the road, which is surprising since his first project was one of the biggest flops of his career.

Ever since Dwayne Johnson returned to the ring in the WWE earlier this year, the brand as well as the WWE Universe have been eating well with what The Rock is cooking up for the future, more specifically, for the upcoming WrestleMania Xl.
It’ll be the place where the heated rivalry between Johnson and WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes will settle the bad blood that’s been boiling between them.
Dwayne Johnson at Monday Night Raw
But until that eventual showdown finally arrives, the star is doing all he can to hype their match-up as much as possible, which, combined with his heel phase, results in the athlete running wild. Thus, to further promote this rivalry, Johnson has harnessed the power of memes into his merch and made fun of Rhodes getting slapped by him with the classic Batman Slaps Robin meme.

Things aren't looking great at the box office right now, as there are very few big releases in theaters that are getting moviegoers out in meaningful numbers. But there is something good to focus on today as Sony's rom-com "Anyone But You" has continued to quietly defy expectations for over a full month now. The film crossed the $100 million milestone over the weekend and is arguably one of the most unlikely movies to ever hit that mark based on how things started.
"Anyone But You" added another $5.4 million to its ever-growing total over the weekend, per The Numbers. That was good enough for a fourth place finish in its fifth frame, which is impressive. More importantly, director Will Gluck's romantic comedy has now earned $64.2 million domestically to go with $35.9 million internationally for a grand total of $100.1 million worldwide. Given its $25 million budget, this is going to be a huge win for Sony Pictures.

A video for film pre-production tech appears to show an early glimpse of Sony’s upcoming Gravity Rush movie. Patapon also makes a surprise appearance.
One name among an entire roster of PlayStation game adaptations announced in 2022 was Gravity Rush – a movie based on Japan Studio’s 2012 action adventure. Other Sony game-to-movie projects listed at the time included God Of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone.
Director Anna Mastro – a maker of music videos and the 2020 action-fantasy Secret Society Of Second Born Royals – was listed as the filmmaker charged with bringing Gravity Rush to the screen, though announcements went rather quiet after that.
Gravity Rush has made a surprise reappearance, though, in a presentation video recently put online by Sony. Released to coincide with CES 2024, the glitzy tech conference currently underway in Las Vegas, the video is about Torchlight, a new suite of virtual production tools designed to help...

Dwayne Johnson might be jumping to A24 for Benny Safdie’s Mma drama The Smashing Machine, but he’s determined to stick to the roots that helped make him one of the biggest stars of the silver screen. In a featured article focusing on Safdie’s next project, Johnson told Variety he has no plans to abandon “four-quadrant movies” despite getting dramatic for his role as Mma fighter Mark Kerr in Safdie’s next film project with A24.
“I want to be clear not to say that this is an abandonment of big, four-quadrant movies,” Johnson told Variety about confronting his most dramatic role yet. “I love making them, and there is tremendous value and importance in [them] … but there’s a time and a place for them. I’m at this point in my career where I want more. And I don’t mean I want more box office. I mean I want more humanity.

Happy New Year! So many people are hoping the movie biz recovers in 2024 after the effects of the pandemic was then followed by a dual strike. But 2023 ended on a relatively lower note at the box office. Read on for the weekend box office report.
This past week has been a particularly interesting one, beginning with “The Color Purple” winning Christmas Day with $18.1 million, literally the second highest box office take for that holiday. As the week went along, that movie started slipping lower and lower as two other Warner Bros’ releases, Timothée Chalamet‘s “Wonka” and the superhero sequel “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” started to catch up. Illumination Entertainment’s animated film “Migration” and the Sony rom-com “Anyone But You” also started to gain ground with so many people being off from work and school.

The original picture book "Jumanji," written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, was rather simple. A pair of kids find a mysterious boxed board game at a park and take it home to play it. The game, "Jumanji," is a jungle-themed adventure that warns players not to begin unless they intend to finish. They find that playing the game manifests jungle animals and bad weather in their home, and soon the house has been trashed by rhinos and monsoons. When they finish the game, all the damage is magically undone. "Jumanji" was published in 1981, and was a library standard for a decade.
In 1995, Joe Johnston directed a feature film adaptation that strayed dramatically from the picture book. Using then-cutting-edge CGI, "Jumanji" was about a child who was sucked into an alternate jungle dimension in 1969, and left there for decades because his "Jumanji" partner abandoned the game. In the present, two...

This holiday weekend saw Vincent Chase return to theaters with Aquaman landing in first place and his highly anticipated turn in Ferrari still to come on Christmas Day. Sadly for the Medellín star and his Entourage, Aquaman landed with a thud while Ferrari isn’t expected to make much of a mark.
Yesterday saw Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom heading to an underwhelming $30 million 3 day debut. Well, it appears even that number was a bit of a pipe dream as the king of Atlantis is seeing a revised weekend of $28.1 million with its 4 day expected to hit just shy of $40 million. That number makes The Lost Kingdom the fourth worst opening in the entire Dceu (after Pandemic plagued titles like Wonder Woman 1984 and The Suicide Squad and this years bomb Blue Beetle). Considering it was a massive hit with audiences, grossing $262 million worldwide, it’s surprising that Jumanji never got a direct sequel. Sure, we got Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and The Next Level (and beyond?) more than 20 years later, but one that picked up where the 1995 movie left off would have undoubtedly been a hit. Well, except if it turned out how it was originally pitched…As recently revealed by Jumanji author Chris Val Allsburg, the planned sequel would have used the final shot of the original movie — in which two girls come across the titular board game on the beach — as a launching point.
According to Val Allsburg, the sequel — which would have been titled Jumanji: The White House — would have initially taken place near that beach, quickly to be revealed as France’s Omaha Beach. Get ready for this part: the President of the United States of America,...

Friday Afternoon: Right now, it’s looking like Warner Bros/DC’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will arrive at $40M over 4-days, which is where tracking had it.
That said, Warners can boast, and CEO David Zaslav can be happy, in having the top two films at the box office along with Wonka‘s second weekend in the No. 2 spot with a projected $31M over the Dec. 22-25 span. Friday/previews for Aquaman 2 is $14M with a 3-day of $30M at 3,706 theaters. Wonka‘s second Friday is $7M (-51%), which translates to a 3-day of $22M at 4,213 theaters. We’re hearing that Color Purple‘s Christmas Day gross could be around $10M-$12M, which would put it in the No. 4 spot behind Illumination and Universal’s Migration which is looking at $18M at 3,761 theaters; a better than expected result than the $10M-$12M we were hearing about.

Red One: Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson’s holiday action comedy to bring cheer to theaters next year
Next year’s holiday season is already looking merry and bright at the box office as Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans’ holiday action comedy, Red One, plans on riding a sleigh into cinemas. The Amazon MGM and Seven Bucks Christmas film is still spreading holiday cheer on Prime Video, but the project’s global theatrical debut happens on November 15, 2024.
Red One’s move to theaters is a strategy to take advantage of the holiday box office rush. Families love to bundle up the family for a trip to cinemas, and that Thanksgiving window is almost as tasty as a lovingly cooked butterball turkey. Other films will premiere in theaters around the holidays, but so far, Robert De Niro’s mobster film Alto Knights and Lionsgate and Kingdom Story’s The Best Christmas Pageant Ever occupy the holiday stretch.

At the end of Ryan Coogler's 2018 superhero film "Black Panther," the title hero (Chadwick Boseman) gathered on a Wakandan battlefield to face off against the vengeful Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) with M'Baku (Winston Duke) aiding Black Panther and W'Kabi (Daniel Kaluuya) aiding Killmonger. At one point in the battle, W'Kabi blows a trumpet and summons several armored rhinoceroses to knock over enemy combatants in an extended action-packed battle sequence. As one might predict, the bulk of this sequence's fantastical elements were realized using CGI, although there was also a lot of impressive fight choreography by Jordan, Danai Gurira, and many, many accomplished stunt performers. According to a 2018 article in VFX Voice Magazine, a set was built on a ranch in the state of Georgia, and there were a lot of enormous blue screens, used to key in the CGI-created backgrounds of Wakanda.

Updated Exclusive: Warner Bros’ feature musical Wonka arrived on three-week-out tracking this week with a revised industry projection of $35M-$40M when it opens on Dec. 15.
That start is in the vicinity of Sony’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ($36.2M) which opened before Christmas on Dec. 20. While going pre-Christmas is always risky for any movie, family branded pics are quite safe and remain a powerful distraction for families who are still in the throes of shopping.

Back in 2015, just as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was cementing his status as one of the world's biggest movie stars, the wrestler-turned-actor starred in the highly successful disaster flick "San Andreas." This was actually one of the movies that proved Johnson could help open a big blockbuster outside of a major franchise. He had earned the reputation of being "franchise Viagra" given what he was able to do for "Fast & Furious," "G.I. Joe," and other established properties.
"San Andreas" sees the infamous San Andreas Fault finally give, which triggers a massive magnitude 9 earthquake in California. Rescue helicopter pilot Raymond Gaines (Johnson) and his estranged wife must then make their way from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their daughter. It was a huge success, taking in $474 million worldwide against a $110 million budget. That being the case, Warner Bros. was very quick to announce a squeal back in early 2016. The company confirmed to Deadline that Noble died September 9 of bulbar Als at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood. He has been diagnosed in summer 2021.
“Paul was a rare and marvelous human being, possessed with an abundance of positivity, warmth, humor and kindness,” Sony Chairman Tom Rothman wrote in an email to staff. “He faced his diagnosis with courage and grace and in doing so set a remarkable example for his family and, indeed, for all of us. To say he will be missed is of course an understatement.”
Following a decade-plus film-marketing career marketing at top agencies in London, Noble joined Sony Pictures in Los Angeles in 2015, initially as SVP International Marketing and later EVP before being promoted to Co-President of International Marketing in 2018. He was...

“Wicked Part Two” has been moved up a month, with the second and final chapter of Jon. M Chu’s stage adaptation opening not over Christmas Day 2025 but instead Thanksgiving weekend 2025. Starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, Universal’s musical fantasy will drop on November 26, 2025. Why the date change? Well, would you want to open against “Avatar 3 if you don’t have to”?
This is the first bit of musical chairs to come after the Walt Disney Company announced a slew of new dates last week, including moving “Avatar 3” back a year to December 2025, moving the next two “Avengers” films each back a year to May 2026 and 2027 and slotting two “Star Wars” films for May 2026 and December 2026. Most of the dates were far enough into the future to not have named-and-dated titles impacted.

Paramount will open Nickelodeon’s “Tmnt: Mutant Mayhem” not on Friday, August 6 but on Wednesday, August 4. It’ll still go head-to-head with Jason Statham and Wu Jing’s “The Meg 2: The Trench” opening that Friday. Moreover, it still won’t get any Imax or Plf screens even for those first two days since those auditoriums will be going to Chris Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” or (if circumstances justify it) Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” or Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion.” However, it’s the latest big theatrical release to opt for an extended Wed-Sun weekend instead of a conventional Fri-Sun debut.
Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” decided to open two days early and ended up with a $146 million Fri-Sun frame and a $204 million Wed-Sun debut. Does that mean the film might have nabbed the first $200 million animated opening weekend had it opted for a conventional Fri-Sun frame? Perhaps, since...
