Pain Hustlers (2023)
Forgettable
It's utterly pathetic how desperate these guys are to capture the same feel and energy Wolf of Wall Street has. It's so obvious throughout the movie and they fall flat on their face in their attempt to do it. Not a single memorable character, line or piece of acting from this movie.
This movie is an awful amateurish copycat attempt. Everything is so forced, unoriginal, and completely forgettable.
All the acting is phoned in. Likable characters? Nonexistent. Writing? Awful.
The only thing they put attention on was Emily Blunt's outfits.
I'm so tired of these low effort unoriginal movies. Do better.
The Flash (2023)
Utter Trash
I knew as a whole this movie was never worth my time so I pulled it up just to see the action scenes. Turns out this movie is written for 7 year olds. The grown adults are all clowns, the writing is predictably stupid and every character is as immature and shallow as it gets, the CGI is awful and damn near all of it is CGI, there's 0 realism to anything that takes place in the movie and it simply goes from scene to scene artificially manufacturing one scenario after the other.
The main character asks who Superman is then in the next scene is completely shocked when someone doesn't know who Batman is.
Then he gets struck by lighting creating a massive hole through his entire body in the center of his chest, heals in 2 seconds flat. Then pretends to hobble around for ages when a single tiny bullet hits him in another scene.
What kind of nonsense is that?
This is targeted for the same audience that would watch "A Goofy Movie (1995)" and it plays out just as immaturely as that movie.
The acting is just like the movie itself, completely forgettable.
The Batman (2022)
Boring
The Dark Knight is one of the Best Movies of all time. The cartoons are some of the best of all time too. A year after release I decided to give this a try. From the trailers it looked awful so I was never going to see it in theaters. 9 minutes in and I know I'm better off spending my time elsewhere. The narration and shots up to that point are already to cliche, boring and dry. I hardly ever cut off a movie even though I'm just watching at home, but this just feels like utter trash already. I can go on YouTube and find countless narrations (with scripts) more compelling than the flat dreadful nonsense he's spuing at the start of this film.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Utter Trash Just Like The Sequel Trilogy
The writing and acting are so scripted and generic.
This is not at all the quality fans of the franchise are used to seeing. It's an attempt to through something together while praying that the Star Wars name distracts people from the numerous shortcomings.
This show really tried to get you to believe that a little girl can outrun 3 grown men.
Then the girl sends 3 dollar store henchmen to capture a Jedi they've spent more than a decade looking for. What kind of joke is this? That kid Leia could write a more compelling story than this.
Obi Wan instantly kills the first person to lay a hand on Leia yet she still doesn't trust him and immediately runs. But the second he uses the force she instantly trusts him 😑. All this time we're supposed to believe her character is "smart" too.
All that petty bickering between the villains. Are we supposed to believe they're adults or all 10 years old like Leia?
Once you see a character like Haja Estree in a show you know you can't take anything seriously. Characters like that offer you cheap, forced humor, generic jokes, and directly signal to the audience that the director/writers etc. Aren't capable of creating a compelling story. Just like Guardians of the Galaxy and Fat Thor these are the 99 cent McChicken of the industry. Cheap, generic, low hanging fruit that diminishes the quality of anything it touches.
Just like the parents who feed their kids such garbage. Writers and Directors that use these characters are feeding the audience trash wrapped up in a robe.
The music is surprisingly weak and forgettable. Not only for the genre but especially considering it's Star Wars.
Vader literally stands there and watches a robot take the man he's been looking for for +10 years away. And even better is the thing that stopped him was a reignited patch of fire he literally extinguished 10 seconds earlier
The underwater glass in an Imperial base filled with troopers (with blasters) is so weak it breaks after a single shot hits it. Holy ****! Who writes this garbage??
What a shame to still be without a quality Star Wars show featuring Jedi. Disney is doing an absolutely PHENOMENAL job continuing to ruin the franchise.
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
Utter trash but 1 star for the visuals
I can't believe these guys have the right to the Star Wars name. ALL they're doing is tarnishing it.
It's like handing the keys to a Ferrari to a 3 year old.
It's only further downhill from here.
The sad thing is they will keep milking this franchise as long as people keep handing them money for this garbage.
I'm not used to watching movies with so many plot holes, such horrendous writing and overall a waste of my time. Thankfully I'm no longer expecting anything from this franchise and I will continue to not give them a dime.
These 3 sequels have taught me that no matter how great something once was it can 100% be ruined when put in the hands of extremely incompetent people.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
My condolences to hardcore fans
This movie is so unbelievably bad. It's like someone lost a bet to see how much they could try and ruin the franchise in one movie.
I don't even want to waste too many words on this. It's not worth it.
Corny, predictable, "jokes" that weren't even funny. The acting and writing...my god it's like Rey and Leia were the only ones trying.
Captain Phasma had like 2 minutes of screen time yet she was the only villain I cared for. The rest were lame to say the least.
What I can say is I'm grateful for the light speed scene. That was truly epic. Absolutely beautiful!! That and the "fight" scene in the snow almost get it to 2 stars but the fact that Luke dies while essentially meditating anyways is pathetic. He might as well have gotten blasted and just left Kylo a note in the bunker.
I feel bad for any hardcore fans of the franchise that had to endure this atrocity. I wish you all the best.
Justice League Unlimited (2004)
This...is...GOD TIER!!!
Brooooo, this is such an incredible cartoon. The animation is sublime, the lineup of characters...I can't even man. I won't even get into how amazing this show was it's too much.
To say that they should have had at least 10 seasons is an understatement. It's an absolute CRIME that they ended this gem so soon.
Excuse me while I mourn this loss.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
The comedy is for children
I couldn't bring myself to even come close to finishing this. The jokes are so corny, predictable, and childish I feel like I'd have to be an unintelligent 7 year old to enjoy them.
Deadpool can deliver humor. Thor can deliver humor. This movie can deliver humor...as long as you have the brain of a 2nd grader that finds fart noises to be amusing.
