Dune: Part Two (2024)
Great movie: Better than first one of the serie but still not better than the book
Includes spoilers for those who want to read books:
This film reminded me of "LOTR Part 2 - The Two Towers". Similarly, the first film had a mostly philosophical background, while the second was more action-packed and more exciting for the audience who didn't read the books.
I can understand why the changes were made, even though I was a little annoyed by the parts that were interpreted differently from the book (it would not be easy to portray a child who could kill an adult soldier with a dagger at the age of 3).
Pros:
The movie had great action scenes, creative and "cyberpunk" warship designs and was mostly loyal to books.
Cons:
I wish I could feel the difficulty of experiencing the all the past ( and future) visions after drinking "ab-i hayat" water of life. Normally, it gives Paul a huge pain in the books: to speak each and every ancestors of himself including his deceased father. It is like a thousand sound in your head at the same time and this can make someone getting mad if you are not strong enough.
Lastly, I am still in the curiosity of how they will deal with "3000 years" time lapse between 2. And 3. Books. (It will be between 3. And 4. Movies)
You've Got Mail (1998)
Charming but ethically controversial
If you put this film into classic romantic movie category, it would fail (maybe 5/10) but I think true love is more likely like this: they are rivals, he hurts her buseness. In real life it is more likely to happen normally. But they can still love each other.
Ethical problem is they both had partners while chatting each other on the internet. Would you like it if your partner did that? I would not.
Shahsiyet (2018)
excellent
This is an excellent serie.
This is rare to see Turkish TV series competing with foreign ones.
I can say this is as good as famous american crime TV series.
Without spoilers I can just say suprise connections were great.
the only dissapointing thing for me was Zuhal and Deva. Their story was a bit weak.
Anyway I highly recommend to watch this show; even for not Turkish people.
