- Micheline Chevassu is a naive young woman living in an orphanage. Through classified ads, she makes a date with an unknown man. She escapes from the orphanage to meet him, dreaming of her Prince Charming, but waiting for her is unattractive, middle-aged Nicolas Rougemont. As time goes by, he goes as far as intervening and changing the course of their lives. In the end, despite having found a lookalike of his fiancée, he returns to her.

Luckily, thanks to the intervention of the Virgin Mary, the two friends are acquitted at their celestial trial and allowed to return to Earth.

Her daughter Gisèle is still missing. Although old and tired, Théotime does not hesitate. He defies the snowstorm once again in the company of Barry... saves them with the help of Barry, the good rescue dog.

At long last Aimé can marry Nicole while his musicians spread mirth around them;

So, why not continue? That's what they do, abducting several dogs, until they realize they are becoming ... too rich! They can't buy themselves luxurious gifts or else their parents are bound to suspect something. Instead, they decide to do good by helping poor people around them. One day, Pierrot, a member of the gang, gets run down by a cyclist and becomes blind. Only a costly operation can heal him. Well, the solution is obvious : increase their illegal activities. But the police are beginning to smell a rat.

As a result, they decide to join forces in order to make the disgraceful father change his ways...
- Raymond Denis, a humble worker, has refused to acknowledge the child His girlfriend Rose gave birth to. As a result of his weak attitude, Rose, after leaving the baby in care, drowned herself in a canal. Raymond, accused of killing her, now appears before the court. When the latter in his speech accuses the unfairness of society who drives the destitute to wrongdoing, the retort isn't long in coming : the prosecutor lets the court know that Nogent's line of defense is biased since his own father is unknown. Claude, whose mother had never told about it, is upset. However the move backfires : Raymond is acquitted and he decides to bring up his (and his dear Rose's) child. As for Claude he will be able to marry Jacqueline, whose wealthy parents hitherto refused as a son-in-law;
