- In a Brazilian coastal village where everything seems motionless, Clarice grasps her life in a single day, unlike those she meets and who are living this day like any other. She tries to understand her obscure reality and the destiny of the people around her in a circular time that haunts and disorients.
- Laura and Alan fall in love, but have to deal with the strange death of Alan's wife and with a rival, Lilith, who wants to break their relationship. At the same time, a narrator gives lessons on how to make a love story movie, exposing all clichés on that kind of film.
- The dreams and utopias of a generation of men and women who dedicated their lives to the fight for justice, freedom, and democracy, using the story of Apolônio de Carvalho as a common thread. His fight, without frontiers, with the Republicans in the Spanish Civil War, with the French Resistance against Nazism, and in the fight against the military dictatorship in Brazil in the 1960s.
- It took Victor Brecheret 30 years to complete his Monument to the Bandeirantes, which measures 16 meters high and 50 meters long. Since 1953, this masterwork by one of Brazil's most successful sculptors of the 20th century has been on display in São Paolo. It is an ode to the development of the Brazilian hinterland by indigenous, African and Portuguese Brazilians. Two horses are at the front, followed by a collection of angular, brawny men - together, they are dragging an enormous tree trunk. The sequence of details gradually gives the beholder a feel for the artwork's proportions and composition. It is filmed from bottom-up, causing the surrounding city to fade away, and the black-and-white cinematography endows the clouds with a monumental aura as they glide by. This study gets an extra dimension by replacing the actual sound environment with a score of what it might have sounded like during the exploration: men and horses drudge in silence and the jungle speaks.
- Historical documentary about the violent land occupation that took place in the western region of the wealthy state of São Paulo over the past century.
