Here the cowpunchers proceed to frame him up, but luck is with him and he triumphs over them. The foiled villain then kidnaps the "goil," and our hero goes to the rescue. He is thrown from the car, and in so doing strikes oil, and all ends as it should.
- Spirited story of West, which begins after the hero has spent four years overseas and has left the army so much of a fighting devil that he becomes embroiled in a mix-up. Learning that his antagonist has died from wounds is the reason for the hero going West, when he meets a tramp who is on his way to join a gang of outlaws and who invites the ex-soldier to join. There is a girl who lives near the gang headquarters, and meeting her changes the hero's perspective.

Among the guests is his fiancée (Vera Reynolds). Meanwhile, they elope, and when the matrimonial wrecking crew arrives, all sorts of complications ensue.

To the surprise of all, Joe discloses himself to be a Secret Service agent rather than a notorious bandit.

- Northwest Mounted Policemen Fitzgerald and Herrick, who are later joined by Indian guide Uncas, have been detailed to track down a gang of whiskey-runners. They stop at a farm operated by "Big" Moore; and there Fitzgerald attracts Moore's daughter, "Honey," who has grown distrustful of her childhood sweetheart, Bob Thiele. The Mounties track the smugglers to their lair and rout them; but afterwards, Herrick is killed by a mysterious shot aimed at Fitzgerald. Uncas investigates and finds a clue pointing to Honey's brother Dave. Thiele, however, is revealed as the true murderer and the leader of the smugglers. Thiele defeats Fitzgerald in a fight and is about to shoot him when he is struck dead by lightning. Fitzgerald reports back to headquarters but returns to claim Honey as his bride.

- Andy Green, a colorful cowboy, finds work at the Flying U cattle ranch, owned by Chip. Chip's foreman Dunk, who is Elsie Gray's guardian, attempts to force her to sign papers releasing him, but she refuses because he has stolen some of her money. Chip fires Dunk, who buys an adjoining sheep ranch, cutting off Chip's water supply and endangering his cattle. When Chip breaks a leg, Andy is made foreman and, in the clash between the cattlemen and the sheepmen, proves himself to be a brave man despite his tall tales. Andy succeeds in preventing Elsie from signing away her claims on Dunk in order to get water for the ranch and, after a hard fight, beats Dunk. Elsie, no longer in love with her suitor Pink, has fallen for Andy, who loves her as well. Andy will marry Elsie and stay on at the Flying U as foreman.
