- The Devil, played as a parody of the Marlon Brando role in The Godfather, sets his sights on Sam Silverstein, a sexually frustrated sixty-five-year-old Jewish husband in crisis, whom he selects as an easy mark. At first Silverstein resists, refusing to convert to Christianity. However, as life moves from one disappointment to another, he agrees to sell his soul for a chance to make out with a pretty young thing. Devil, Jr. is assigned to the case. Magically visions of women appear and disappear, but despite Silverstein's efforts, he experiences little save punches, rejection, and exhaustion. Finally, Sam wants out of the deal. Returning to his wife Bessie, he suddenly seems happier than ever.
