VERY versatile filmmaker, and I really like how his movies have a good nostalgic feel to them. Great with the acting, breathtakingly original with the cinematography, and adds lots of little original quirks, so I'd say that Sam is the best "standard summer blockbuster" director out there.

I really love most of the things Tim Burton has done, ever. I think Eagle Eye was FAR underrated, and may actually be one of the best films of all time. Really great at creating interesting characters and adding a realistic feel to all of his scenes.

It may be too early to jump to conclusions about Kosinski, but I really did like how Tron: Legacy brought a whole new level of depth (in plotline and animation) to the already-established story, and I am a fan of his commercials/shorts too. I look forward to seeing what he does in the future!

You all may be thinking "what the heck" but I really admire M. Night because he keeps pumping the films out regardless of what the critics say. Besides, I do like everything he has made until The Village, with the exception of Wide Awake and Praying with Anger... and Devil was pretty good too!

I know that you all will be hating on me for including this guy, but you can't argue against the fact that he really does know what he's doing. He knows that his movies will be received poorly by the critics, so he purposely goes over-the-top in every way imaginable (cinematography, choreography, blatantly-written jokes), sort of his way of flipping the bird to the critics. And for that, I gotta give hi a spot here.

Despite the fact that he's only made a few films (and not all of them were even that good), Orphan was just so shocking, original, jaw-dropping, gut-wrenching, bloody and just overall screwed-up that it completely broke the mold of what I have come to expect from modern-day horror films.
