- DirectorRon HowardStarsJim CarreyTaylor MomsenKelleyOn the outskirts of Whoville lives a green, revenge-seeking Grinch who plans to ruin Christmas for all of the citizens of the town. What can I say? It's a holiday favorite of mine! :)
Sure, it's not as great as the cartoon, but it was still faithful to the book in some ways, and I love watching it with my family on Christmas season. - DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsDustin HoffmanRobin WilliamsJulia RobertsWhen Captain James Hook kidnaps his children, an adult Peter Pan must return to Neverland and reclaim his youthful spirit in order to challenge his old enemy.Like most of the other films listed here, this one is a childhood favorite of mine. Sure it's got a few plot holes, and Robin Williams may not be a "fitting" choice for Peter Pan, but I think it had a few interesting ideas and a good message.
Plus, I think some parts of this follow the original story more closely than the Disney "Peter Pan" (even though the Disney version is one of my favorites). - DirectorRonny YuStarsRobert EnglundKen KirzingerKelly RowlandFreddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees return to terrorize the teenagers of Elm Street. Only this time, they're out to get each other, too.I really liked this movie, because it not only got me interested in the slasher genre, but also interested in the "Friday the 13th", and "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies.
- DirectorLes MayfieldStarsRobin WilliamsMarcia Gay HardenChristopher McDonaldAn absent-minded professor discovers "flubber," a rubber-like super-bouncy substance.I really don't understand all the hate for this movie. Sure it was silly at times, but I personally enjoyed it as a kid, and even today I still find some scenes hilarious.
- DirectorSam WeismanStarsBrendan FraserLeslie MannThomas Haden ChurchA man raised in the jungle by apes falls in love with a wealthy American heiress. This one I like pretty much for the same reasons as "Flubber."
- DirectorPhil NibbelinkSimon WellsDick ZondagStarsJohn GoodmanCharles FleischerBlaze BerdahlA time traveling scientist goes back to prehistoric times and feeds dinosaurs a magic cereal that increases their intelligence - next they land in modern New York City for a series of comic adventures.Alright, so this movie's not exactly "Jurassic Park" material, and it might look like a retarded version of "Land Before Time", but I thought it had some good stuff in between.
I love the animation, I liked the villain, and I love how the T-Rex got to be the hero (for once). Plus, I thought the kid that played Louie did a REALLY good job acting.
I only wish they left in the deleted cage scene, where Screweyes tells the Dinosaurs his story about the crows, because it would've helped the ending make more sense. - DirectorKunihiko YuyamaStarsVeronica TaylorRachael LillisEric StuartScientists genetically create a new Pokémon, Mewtwo, but the results are horrific and disastrous.Okay, I know this movie had it's flaws and the message was a little confusing, but I can never completely hate it.
1.) I still cry at the scene where Ash turns to stone (yeah, I'm a wimp XD).
2.) Pokemon was one of the first anime shows I've seen as a kid, so this movie brings me back to the good old days (when Pokemon was actually a DECENT SHOW).
3.) Mewtwo was AWESOME (he still is)! :3 - DirectorDon BluthGary GoldmanDan KuensterStarsGlen CampbellChristopher PlummerSorrell BookeIn order to defeat the wicked Grand Duke of Owls, a young boy, transformed into a cat, teams up with a group of barnyard animals to find the rooster who can raise the sun.I really don't mind this movie that much, there's just 3 things wrong with it:
1.) The songs kind of sucked.
2.) The voice-over narrating (from Phil Harris) was jarring.
3.) Goldie was very bland and annoying.
But other than that, I can honestly say this film was decent and I like it. :) - DirectorDon BluthGary GoldmanStarsMartin ShortJim BelushiAnnie GoldenHubie (Martin Short) must present his special pebble to Marina (Annie Golden) before the pebble festival is over, or lose his chance forever. This one is okay too. However, the villain is too obvious and generic, the animation is a bit inconsistent, and (like "Transformers") the ending falls flat.
- DirectorAnnabel JankelRocky MortonStarsBob HoskinsJohn LeguizamoDennis HopperTwo Brooklyn plumbers, Mario and Luigi, must travel to another dimension to rescue a princess from the evil dictator King Koopa and stop him from taking over the world. Not much to say here...
- DirectorArna SelznickJay MillerDick SchneiderStarsGeorgia EngelMickey RooneyJackie BurroughsThe Care Bears team up with a troubled brother and sister who just moved to a new town to help a neglected young magician's apprentice whose evil spell book causes sinister things to happen.Nor here...
- DirectorDale SchottStarsMaxine MillerPam HyattHadley KayThe Care Bears try to help a young girl at summer camp who, in an effort to revamp her dorky social status to agility and skill, enters into a sinister bargain with a shape-shifting demon posing as a young boy.Okay, this one I only like because of DarkHeart and the "Forever Young" song at the end.
