Consumately masculine and forceful, Robert Mitchum, seemed to be under the radar and almost terminally underrated his entire wonderful, 50 year acting career. Nevertheless, the performances of Mitchum were consistently excellent, and he produced many indelible screen characterizations over his marvelous career. Here are 25 of his best.
