Oscar Snubs & Surprises of the Last 10 Years15 of 24
One of the best films of the year by far, 'Walk the Line' picked up the Golden Globe award for Best Motion Picture, but not an Oscar nomination! Maria Bello was snubbed for her role as casino tycoon in 2003 in 'The Cooler', and then again this year for her role as Viggo Mortensen's strained wife in 'A History of Violence', adapted from the critically acclaimed graphic novel. Her co-star William Hurt was nominated for 10 minutes of screen time after showing up on no major awards lists.
