I've noticed a strange dichotomy of my feelings about his voice.:) While I love his voice in his TV and narrating work, I don't admire his audio commercials. His voice is then so impersonal and flat, the opposite of when he plays a character, then his voice gives strength to his performance. But he's got a really good, rich baritone voice, a pleasure to hear it.:)

This is the actor I've never considered handsome, but whose physical looks were perfect as Heathcliff and whose voice added great strength to his performance. With his looks, height and voice he would be perfect as Petronius, my favourite character in "Quo Vadis", but some other actor was cast to my regret.
