- DirectorPeter JacksonStarsIan McKellenMartin FreemanRichard ArmitageThe dwarves, along with Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf the Grey, continue their quest to reclaim Erebor, their homeland, from Smaug. Bilbo Baggins is in possession of a mysterious and magical ring.I thought "An Unexpected Journey" was good. Not as good as I thought it would be, but it was good. And after seeing it I am even more excited for part 2
- DirectorPeter JacksonStarsIan McKellenMartin FreemanRichard ArmitageBilbo and company are forced to engage in a war against an array of combatants and keep the Lonely Mountain from falling into the hands of a rising darkness.
- DirectorShane BlackStarsRobert Downey Jr.Guy PearceGwyneth PaltrowWhen Tony Stark's world is torn apart by a formidable terrorist called the Mandarin, he starts an odyssey of rebuilding and retribution. On the plus side the studio learned from Iron Man 2, but in ways they did not. Iron Man 2 suffered from having way too many things going on. And here they have at least 4 villains rumored, having more with war machine and they have to throw and expedition to China in there somewhere! But I'm sure Shane Black will do great.
And I am more sure of that because of trailer, it looks phenomenal so far - DirectorMatt ReevesStarsGary OldmanKeri RussellAndy SerkisThe fragile peace between apes and humans is threatened as mistrust and betrayal threaten to plunge both tribes into a war for dominance over the Earth.Seeing the apes actually rise as appose to *spoilers* going to the other side of San francisco will be really entertaining. The first had a budget of only $93,000,000 and looked amazing! The fact that it lost to Hugo for best effects in my opinion is total bull. But do to the first films massive success it will have a budget even higher.
- DirectorZack SnyderStarsHenry CavillAmy AdamsMichael ShannonAn alien child is evacuated from his dying world and sent to Earth to live among humans. His peace is threatened when other survivors of his home planet invade Earth. While I'm not a big fan of Nolan's writing and have never really liked any Zach snyder film, I am interested to see what they'll do with superman. And besides we can all agree that this won't be as bad as Superman Returns
- DirectorJohn MooreStarsBruce WillisJai CourtneySebastian KochJohn McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack, only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working undercover, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.Yeah it is just a way for Bruce Willis to be relevant again, but Men in Black 3 was just a way for Will Smith to be relevant again and that movie was good! So there is hope that it will be good, as long as they don't make the mistake they did with Live Free or Die Hard by making it PG-13
- DirectorGuillermo del ToroStarsIdris ElbaCharlie HunnamRinko KikuchiAs a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures wages on, a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.Every year since 2007 there has been at least one giant robot fighting movie.
And now this, but unlike battleship and the transformers sequels I'm sure I'll still be excited for this film by next summer as appose to losing interest after more trailers show up. And why not? It's giant robots fighting giant monsters from the director of pans labyrinth and Hellboy, how can this suck? - DirectorM. Night ShyamalanStarsJaden SmithDavid DenmanWill SmithA crash landing leaves Kitai Raige and his father Cypher stranded on Earth, a millennium after events forced humanity's escape. With Cypher injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help.I should be both excited out of my mind for this and worried sick about this movie. I'm excited because it reminds me of a "Planet of the Apes" type of movie, although a more reasonable comparison would be "The Time Machine". It has goods visuals from what I can tell, and looks entertaining enough. But it looks and sounds smarter than that. If not it will just be a "oh look at where we are, let's run" type movie.
Why I'm not excited: Well the title reminds me of Titan A.E. (which I hate with the passion of 1000 gremlins) but that doesn't mean the movie will be just like Titan A.E., all will do is bring back bad memories. And then the big thing, M Night. Suprised or not his name does not worry me. Over the past 10 years he has tried to be the next Speilberg, Hitchcock and as we all know tried to be Peter Jackson. But here it seems like he's trying to be himself. You know? The himself that got him a writing and directing nomination at the oscars for? The trailer talks about fear, which is something M Night has tried to master over the years, but here he's almost embracing the fact that his last few movies weren't scary and is trying a different approach. And that I believe will be interesting to see. Also even if he throws in a twist it can't make less sense than Prometheus did. - DirectorJ.J. AbramsStarsChris PineZachary QuintoZoe SaldanaAfter the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.I completely forgot about this one. It has a Dark Knight vibe to it, some people have said that the writers of this looked to that movie as inspiration, and while I really didn't like Dark Knight, I understand why they would do that. This trailer has it's "woah" moment. That being the enterprise crashing. The fact that the first star trek is the only star trek in the top 250 is insane, but if this movie makes the top 250 and deserves it, then this will truly be good.
