- DirectorRosemary RawcliffeStarsDolma Tsering TeykhangSamdup DolmaTseten Choeden SchneiterA Quiet Revolution begins on March 12, 1959 when 15,000 unarmed Tibetan women took to the streets of Lhasa to oppose the violent occupation of their country by the Communist Chinese army. For the first time on film, three generations of Tibetan women and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama tell the story of one of the great movements of nonviolent resistance in modern history. From the streets of Lhasa to their principal refuge in Dharamsala, India, the stories that live at the heart of this film offer an intimate and direct experience of what it is to lose everything and begin anew. Ama Adhe recounts 28 years spent in a Chinese prison and the deep faith that allowed her to survive the ordeal as she teaches new generations of young refugees. Dolma Tsering describes sacrifices her parents made as exiles so that she might become first a teacher and then a member of Parliament, and Tseten Choeden, born and raised in exile, ensures that her Tibetan birthright is passed on to her own children as she wrestles with a culture in transition. After more than 50 years in exile, His Holiness the Dalai Lama pays tribute to the courage of these remarkable women and their ability to keep their cultural legacy intact for generations to come.
- 2006– 1h 8m8.8 (19)TV EpisodeDirectorNadia El FaniCaroline FourestStarsInna ShevchenkoAliaa El MahdyOksana ShachkoBorn in Ukraine in 2008 in the wake of the "Orange Revolution", the feminist movement Femen fights for democracy, freedom of the press, women's rights, and against corruption, prostitution, sexism, racism, poverty and religions. Her activists quickly caught the attention of the media by shocking actions carried bare toes, the body covered with slogans. In 2012, at the creation of Femen France, Caroline Fourest followed their actions. They notably affirmed their support for "Marriage for All" by protesting on November 18, 2012, during the demonstration organized by the Civitas Institute against the bill, provoking sharp clashes.
- DirectorRebecca M. AlvinStarsPriscilla AlexanderNina HartleyCarol LeighOur Bodies, Our Minds is about feminists who work as prostitutes, exotic dancers, and in other areas of the adult entertainment industry. How can these women be feminists, you ask? That's exactly what the seven women featured in this video are asked. Actress, Nina Hartley defends her career choice by stressing that it is a choice, one not coerced or forced as other feminists might imply. Erotic filmmaker, Candida Royalle expresses her brand of feminism by creating her own erotic films, "from a woman's point of view." And dominatrix Mistress Delilah uses her earnings to pursue a Ph.D. Alvin's interest in the subject matter arose out of an experience with a friend of hers from high school. "She told me she was working part-time as a stripper, but I had always thought of her as such a feminist person" she says. After going to see her friend perform at a gentlemen's club in New York, Alvin realized that there was more to the issue than what anti-pornography feminists might lead you to believe. The result was Our Bodies, Our Minds , a provocative documentary that allows these unusual feminists to discuss their perspectives on pornography, free expression, and prostitution, without resorting to cheap exploitation.

- DirectorRosemary RawcliffeStarsThe Dalai LamaTendzin CheogyalJetsun PemaWomen of Tibet: Gyalyum Chemo - The Great Mother recounts the compelling story of Dekyi Tsering, the mother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Dekyi Tsering, known by Tibetans as 'Gyalyum Chemo' or 'Great Mother,' gave birth to 16 children, three of whom were recognized as incarnate lamas. Weaving anecdotal threads and personal reflections from her children, grandchildren, and friends, with never before seen photographs from their family collections and rare footage of Tibet, the film offers an intimate glimpse into Tibet's first family and the woman who inspired them. His Holiness talks about how his mother helped shape the man he is today and the relationship between healthy family and healthy humanity, and how it all begins with a mothers love. Dr. Marion Woodman (Addiction to Perfection), Alice Walker (The Color Purple), and Angeles Arrien (The Second Half of Life) link this uniquely Tibetan story to a much broader perspective of motherhood and how the Great Mother lives within each of us.

- DirectorBarbara HammerStarsBarbara HammerChildhood stories of the artist as a young lesbian and intimate tales of the lesbian as a young artist underscore the filmmaker's life of performances. With a Swiss army knife she robs an American Express Bank in Morocco, accosts a shepherd in a field on International Women's Day, and tap dances on Shirley Temple's star on Hollywood Boulevard. This child movie star was the ideal by which Hammer's ambitious mother measured her own Barbie. Grandma, already a cook for Lillian Gish in Hollywood, introduced the cute, loquacious child and her mother to D.W. Griffith. Lesbian autobiography is a slender genre, so Hammer draws from general culture studies for critique and to provide an ironic edge to the synthesized "voices of authority". Using personal archival footage of the AFL/CIO strike at San Francisco State College supported by the Black Panther Party (1968), the first San Diego Women's Music Festival (1965), and the Take Back the Night March in San Francisco (1979), Hammer challenges a younger generation to visualize a world before they existed. The stories tug at your heart, the theory teases your intellect, and the fragile line between truth and fiction provoke you in this dense and hypnotic montage.

We follow Trumbo to prison, to exile in Mexico with his family, to poverty, to the public shunning of his children, to his writing under others' names, and to an eventual but incomplete vindication. The epidemic strangely seemed to affect only teenage girls and resulted in panicked parents and theories coming in thick and fast. Some doctors who saw the girls believed they were victims of conversion disorder, where real physical symptoms - in this case tics - are triggered not by a physical cause, but by psychological trauma. However this solution didn't convince all the families, who claimed their perfect girls, from cheerleaders to high-achievers, were from stable backgrounds and couldn't possibly be suffering from anything 'in the mind'.
