Director: Kevin Greutert | Stars: Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell

Votes: 125,090 | Gross: $27.69M

The Devil or the devils here are Marcus Dunstan y Patrick Melton. The Feast trilogy, Saw IV V & VII and finally Piranha 3DD are the worst of the worst in screenwriting, but this movie it´s a total masterpiece, once in a lifetime.

2. Kick-Ass (2010)

R | 117 min | Action, Comedy, Crime

66 Metascore

Dave Lizewski is an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a superhero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.

Director: Matthew Vaughn | Stars: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Chloë Grace Moretz, Garrett M. Brown

Votes: 592,816 | Gross: $48.07M

The Devil is Matthew Vaughn. I thought he was some kind of god behind the cameras because Stardust was entertaining so I check out X-Men First Class all Hype out and what an insult. How bad that movie was, it was more than enough to avoid any other movie of him but still I saw the Debt which he´d wrote and it was real bad. Nohting can reach the bad that X-Men First Class is but I just won´t see anything else from this guy. Whatever, the thing is that Kick-Ass its a serious Masterpiece that wasted potencial but I love it anyways.

3. The Barrens (2012)

R | 94 min | Horror

A man takes his family on a camping trip and becomes convinced they are being stalked by the legendary monster of the New Jersey Pine Barrens: the Jersey Devil.

Director: Darren Lynn Bousman | Stars: Stephen Moyer, Mia Kirshner, Allie MacDonald, Peter DaCunha

Votes: 4,729

The Devil here isn´t The Jersey Devil, is actually Darren Lynn Bousman the director. Saw IV, 11-11-11 and Mother´s Day are movies that deserve to be hated. However he made this wonderful movie. A throwback reference to The Shinning that it´s way better than that one. A lot of tension, suspense, dramatic moments, atmosphere, gripping, a masterpiece. I didn´t like the ending, it was nonsense with all the things told before in the movie but still awesome work.

4. Piranha 3D (2010)

R | 88 min | Comedy, Horror

53 Metascore

After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents.

Director: Alexandre Aja | Stars: Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O'Connell, Richard Dreyfuss, Ving Rhames

Votes: 96,614 | Gross: $25.00M

Alexandre Aja. That´s the devil. He only has done remakes. Well High Tension seem to be original but there´s a movie based on a Dean Koontz book that it´s exactly the same, obviously I´m saying it because that one came out before High Tension. However Mirrors, The Hill Have Eyes and now this. I´m not fan of his work but this movie it´s GREAT. His best and only good movie so far. Real gory, funny, enjoyable and memorable.

5. In Bruges (2008)

R | 107 min | Comedy, Crime, Drama

67 Metascore

After a job gone wrong, hitman Ray and his partner await orders from their ruthless boss in Bruges, Belgium, the last place in the world Ray wants to be.

Director: Martin McDonagh | Stars: Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ciarán Hinds, Elizabeth Berrington

Votes: 461,050 | Gross: $7.76M

The director this time. He´s only made 2 movies untill now. The second one makes me thnks this one was just a once in a life time opportunity because Seven Psychopaths its one of the worst movies of 2012 for sure. I love In Bruges, hilarious, intense, dark, twisted, heartfull, touching, moving, funny, entertaining... MONSTERPIECE.

6. Diary of the Dead (2007)

R | 95 min | Fantasy, Horror, Sci-Fi

66 Metascore

A group of young film students run into real-life zombies while filming a horror movie of their own.

Director: George A. Romero | Stars: Michelle Morgan, Joshua Close, Shawn Roberts, Todd Schroeder

Votes: 49,217 | Gross: $0.96M

Romero as a Director and Screewriter. I haven´t liked any of his zombie movies, I think it´s a wasted genre that not even him who was the one that "create" it has done it well. It turns out that after many years and many movies of trail and error he made the definitive version and the bible of zombies. Actually, I wouldn´t say the bible or definitive version, but it´s the best of the best, nobody till now has shown the real potential of zombies but Romero with this Monsterpiece has made a statement. This one might be the prologue to the actual Bible of zombies. Of course, that bible can´t be made by him because he just can´t. He took so long to make a decent movie of the genre that he "created" and that´s a clear sing that he even if he wanted to he couldn´t do it.

7. The Kovak Box (2006)

R | 102 min | Mystery, Sci-Fi, Thriller

A sci-fi writer (Hutton) is invited to an island for a conference, only to discover that he's been lured into a trap.

Director: Daniel Monzón | Stars: Timothy Hutton, Lucía Jiménez, David Kelly, Georgia Mackenzie

Votes: 4,362

Daniel Monzón, the spanish Director. Great movie, one of the most memorable movies but he did Cell 221 wich was pretty bad.

8. Saw (2004)

R | 103 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

46 Metascore

Two strangers awaken in a room with no recollection of how they got there, and soon discover they're pawns in a deadly game perpetrated by a notorious serial killer.

Director: James Wan | Stars: Cary Elwes, Leigh Whannell, Danny Glover, Ken Leung

Votes: 466,180 | Gross: $56.00M

ThIs one goes to James Wan. Bad movies, real bad movies. Dead Silence, Death Sentence, Insidious and now it comes The Conjuring, and Insidious 2. I give him this one because it is one of the best movies of all time for me. I don´t think it´s good like "good" best quality, artistic vision or the definition of cinema, I just love it personally. It´s a dream for me. A shame that this one was Once in a lifetime experience... from him, not for me of course.

9. Saw III (2006)

R | 108 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

48 Metascore

Jigsaw abducts a doctor in order to keep himself alive while he watches his new apprentice put an unlucky citizen named Jeff through a brutal test.

Director: Darren Lynn Bousman | Stars: Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Angus Macfadyen, Bahar Soomekh

Votes: 212,170 | Gross: $80.24M

This one goes for Leigh Whannell, the screenwriter. Great in Saw, I went mad for the movies he write and Saw III its pretty good. He did it well in the script even I don´t think its good I like it. The rest are bad movies. Dead Silence, Insidious and Death Sentence, one of the worst Screewriter ever. The other half its for Darren Lynn Bousman the director. He did it fine in Saw II but this one went higher that anything else. Involving and really dramatic. I just like this movie even though isn´t an objective proof of cinematographic quality.

10. Snake Eyes (1998)

R | 98 min | Crime, Mystery, Thriller

52 Metascore

A shady police detective finds himself in the middle of a murder conspiracy at an important boxing match in an Atlantic City casino.

Director: Brian De Palma | Stars: Nicolas Cage, Gary Sinise, John Heard, Carla Gugino

Votes: 86,674 | Gross: $55.59M

Brian De Palma´s true Masterpiece. I haven´t seen much of him. Just 3 movies and I don´t see him as a devil because Mission Impossible was good, not great but good and Carlito´s Ways was pretty boring, I just like the ending that was a heart-pounding suspenful final act. Now, Snake Eyes has the best direction in real time, great characters, Cage stealing every scene, Gary Since impresive and a remarkable 90´s thriller.

11. Bride of Chucky (1998)

R | 89 min | Comedy, Horror, Thriller

48 Metascore

Chucky, the doll possessed by a serial killer, discovers the perfect mate to kill and revive into the body of another doll.

Director: Ronny Yu | Stars: Jennifer Tilly, Brad Dourif, Katherine Heigl, Nick Stabile

Votes: 64,177 | Gross: $32.40M

Ronny Yu. Freddy Vs Jason was god, what a bad movie. This one it´s the most enjoyable, entertaining and exciting movie of the Chucky Franchise. Seriously, the most funny, real gory, clever, fast pacing, well acted, convincing, memorable, its really a popcorn movie but It mark me.

12. Starship Troopers (1997)

R | 129 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

52 Metascore

Humans, in a fascist militaristic future, wage war with giant alien bugs.

Director: Paul Verhoeven | Stars: Casper Van Dien, Denise Richards, Dina Meyer, Jake Busey

Votes: 320,713 | Gross: $54.81M

Verhooven did the mindless Basic Instint and Hollow Man. When I saw it, I thought Total Recall was Great but I rewatch it and it bored me. I don´t prefer the remake, I just don´t found interesting the story, it left me cold the second time I saw it. I´ve never saw RoboCop and I don´t care, I´m not interested. Now, Starship Troopers left me with no words. I guess it´s THE BEST belic movie of all time for me. Seriously I have no words to describe HOW ridiculouly good, awesome and incredible great this movie its for me. I just can´t. I´ll take me lines and likes just to give an Idea. MONSTERPIECE.

13. The Stepfather (2009)

PG-13 | 101 min | Mystery, Thriller

33 Metascore

Michael Harding (Penn Badgely) returns home from military school to find his mother Susan (Sela Ward) happily in love and living with her new boyfriend David (Dylan Walsh). As the two men get to know each other, he becomes more and more suspicious of the man who is always there to help.

Director: Nelson McCormick | Stars: Penn Badgley, Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Amber Heard

Votes: 38,653 | Gross: $29.06M

I don´t know Nelson McCormick very well I know he´s a tv series´s director but the only movies he´s made are this one and the Prom Night remake wich was bad in a forgettable way. He did it awesome behind the camera but this one, THe Spetfather its a slice of heave. Great movie, Dylan Walsh does like THE BEST performance of a broken mind and I just love the depth in this movie. All the drama and psychological background its mindblowing.

14. Pacific Rim (2013)

PG-13 | 131 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

65 Metascore

As a war between humankind and monstrous sea creatures wages on, a former pilot and a trainee are paired up to drive a seemingly obsolete special weapon in a desperate effort to save the world from the apocalypse.

Director: Guillermo del Toro | Stars: Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day

Votes: 530,275 | Gross: $101.80M

What makes good this movie isn´t a filmmaker with a bad filmography, but since I really don´t like the director of this movie, it´s enough to be on this list. From Del Toro I don´t like The Pan´s Labyrinth, Mimic, The Devil´s Backbone, Blade II & Hellboy 2 but Pacific Rim it´s his best one, really the credit goes to the screenwriter Trevis Beachan who´s made an incredible quality script but here, Del Toro really helps. The movie it´s lame in action and visuals but in characters, plot, drama, humor and atmosphere it´s real good. Full of details, extremely clever, well paced, it feels like a believable story with the right and convincing perspective, one of the best screenplays of blockbusters, a really, really good screenplay for the 2013 and a summer movie of unexpected quality.

15. Silent Hill: Revelation (2012)

R | 95 min | Horror, Mystery, Thriller

16 Metascore

When her adoptive father disappears, Sharon Da Silva is drawn into a strange and terrifying alternate reality that holds answers to the horrific nightmares that have plagued her since childhood.

Director: M.J. Bassett | Stars: Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Sean Bean, Carrie-Anne Moss

Votes: 66,662 | Gross: $17.53M

Michael J Bassett it´s the devil now, he made Deathwatch and Wilderness. About the first one, I was done after 40 minutes, I really wanted to love the movie as much as I love the idea (war mixed with supernatural elements) and scenery (a trench) for all the potential they have but I just couldn´t stand the movie, about the second one it was everything I dislike about British filmmaking specially in horror genre and so it was pure and utter... But this one it´s incredible good. Fine 3D, notorious effort on the fx´s even though they´re not that great, mind-blowing performances due the professional actors and the very developed, complex and likable characters, very good script, imaginative, creative and with a visual atmosphere along with the plot that really pull me into the story.
