- DirectorYoshinori KitaseStarsJames Arnold TaylorHedy BurressJohn DiMaggioA celebrated young athlete is drawn from his futuristic hometown and convenient lifestyle to a harsh and techno-phobic land by a mysterious force only known as Sin.While Final Fantasy VII tends to get a majority of attention when it comes to the Final Fantasy franchise, you cannot deny the sheer charm of X. Don't forget that sequels to Final Fantasy (I'm looking at you FFXIII) were unheard of before this masterpiece hit the markets.
- DirectorYoshinori KitaseYasushi MatsumuraMasato YagiA former soldier from an evil company joins a mercenary clan to fight the company he once served. There really isn't much to say about this... graphics are dated yes, but that's what the new remake is for!
- DirectorCasey HudsonStarsShohreh AghdashlooMaggie BairdAdam BaldwinAfter being revived from death and having to join a pro-human organization without a choice, Commander Shepard must assemble a team, battle a new threat, and make tough choices in order to save the galaxy from total annihilation once more. While sequels have a tendency to be the low point of a trilogy, I truly believe this is the reverse for the Mass Effect Trilogy. While the narrative and innovation of the first entry was spectacular, the system mechanics and graphics were a tad dated even for the time it was released. And while I love Mass Effect 3, the plot just isn't as well written as 2.
- DirectorYoshinori KitaseAkihiko MatsuiTakashi TokitaCrono, a young boy, is thrust to adventure by destiny to destroy an oncoming threat that will destroy the world in 1999.One of Squaresoft's (before it was Square-Enix) original hits. Although with the now-dated graphics it may be harder for the current generation of gamers (myself included) to appreciate it, the plot, mechanics, and overall design of this game is unmatched.
- DirectorChihiro FujiokaYoshihiko MaekawaJust as Mario trounces Bowser for the millionth time, a giant, malevolent sword crashes into Bowser's keep, casting Mario, Princess Toadstool and Bowser far and wide, and breaking seven pieces from the wish-granting Star Road. The perfect marriage between Squaresoft and Nintendo. What more could you ask for? Although some say that Paper Mario is the successor to this title, I would say that Paper Mario can't really hold up to this standard.
