GET RID OF: Zero Dark Thirty
Good set of nominations. No extremely loud/war horse disasters like last year but where's skyfall? Zero Dark Thirty split audiences and is a good film. Skyfall is universally loved and the best action film of the year - DirectorBen AffleckStarsBen AffleckBryan CranstonJohn GoodmanActing under the cover of a Hollywood producer scouting a location for a science fiction film, a CIA agent launches a dangerous operation to rescue six Americans in Tehran during the U.S. hostage crisis in Iran in 1979.BEST DIRECTOR
GET RID OF: David O Russell
A complete joke. Argo is a far more ambitious, stylish and exiting film thanks to Affleck. The film didn't make itself. - DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJamie FoxxChristoph WaltzLeonardo DiCaprioWith the help of a German bounty-hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal plantation owner in Mississippi.BEST DIRECTOR
GET RID OF: Steven Spielberg
A close call, but there's far more style and passion in tarantinos direction. - DirectorLeos CaraxStarsDenis LavantEdith ScobEva MendesA man boards a limousine to be driven to his day's work: nine mysterious "appointments."BEST ACTOR: Denis Lavant
GET RID OF: Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper is very good and proved himself a far more credible actor but he still has limits and he is very much in the shadow of jennifer lawrence. Lavant gives one of the bravest most hard working performances in years. - DirectorWilliam FriedkinStarsMatthew McConaugheyEmile HirschJuno TempleWhen a debt puts a young man's life in danger, he turns to putting a hit out on his evil mother in order to collect the insurance.BEST ACTOR: Matthew McConaughey
GET RID OF: Hugh Jackman
Jackman has his moments but there are things he gets wrong in les mis: Bring him home, too much speaking. McConauhey is perfect and career changing in his terrfying role - DirectorJacques AudiardStarsMarion CotillardMatthias SchoenaertsArmand VerdurePut in charge of his young son, Alain leaves Belgium for Antibes to live with his sister and her husband as a family. Alain's bond with Stephanie, a killer whale trainer, grows deeper after Stephanie suffers a horrible accident.BEST ACTRESS: Marion Cotillard
GET RID OF: Naomi watts

Cotillard is consistantly terrific. - DirectorTom HooperStarsHugh JackmanRussell CroweAnne HathawayIn 19th-century France, Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever.BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Eddie Redmaye
GET RID OF: Alan Arkin
The one annoying Argo nomination. It's just Alan Arkin being alan arkin. He won an award for the same role 6 years ago. Redmaye may be the best thing about les mis. The oscars prove that they show no appreciation for younger and more versatile actors. - DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJamie FoxxChristoph WaltzLeonardo DiCaprioWith the help of a German bounty-hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal plantation owner in Mississippi.BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Samuel L Jackson
GET RID OF: Christoph Waltz
I love Waltz in Django but again he is very similar to how he his in inglorious basterds. In the same film however we see a samuel L Jacson we've never seen before. It is him and Dicaprio that deserve praise for giving far more ground breaking performances - DirectorWilliam FriedkinStarsMatthew McConaugheyEmile HirschJuno TempleWhen a debt puts a young man's life in danger, he turns to putting a hit out on his evil mother in order to collect the insurance.BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Juno Temple

They soon discover that there is more to the cabin than it seems.BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY
GET RID OF: Flight
Flight is very good, but it is not a film that people will remember in a few years time. Cabin in the woods is a complete game changer and whether you like it or hate it, it's doing something no one has seen before. And it's far better than the avengers - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleTom HardyAnne HathawayEight years after the Joker's reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane.BEST ORIGINAL SCORE
