After being confined to a wheelchair because of a snowboard accident, his mother forces him to participate in a theater project for people with disabilities - the diapers in his room and the initially arrogant roommate add insult to injury. The one and only redeeming feature of life at the facility for the handicapped is the lovely caretaker, Mira. Unfortunately Mira is going steady with a local slime-ball, Marc. Valentin decides to enter the fray against his sturdy and prosperous rival, and even carries it a step further: he decides to rob the gas station at which Marc works. With fervent enthusiasm, his house mates Lukas and Titus offer themselves as accomplices. With this the freshly hatched trio, heads off to procure a gun. - DirectorRamón SalazarStarsAntonia San JuanNajwa NimriVicky Peña"In life, we first organize large stones (Piedras) such as love, friendship, family, and a career." In this way, we will find space between these to fit smaller stones, our small necessities. If you act in an inverse way, you will not have the room for larger stones. The five protagonists of my film are women who have not been able to organize the large "stones" in their lives. Ramón Salazar, Spanish director defines his first feature Stones in this way. The film tells the parallel, conflicting trajectory of five women: Anita, Isabel, Adela, Leire, and Maricarmen. All are endeavoring to remove the stones that insistently appear in their path or, worst, that are in their shoes. They are five Cinderellas in search of prince charming and a new chance in life.

- DirectorJosh AronsonStarsJaime Leigh AllenJemma BrahamFreeda CatIf you could make your deaf child hear, would you? Academy Award-nominated Sound and Fury follows the intimate, heart-rending tale of the Artinians, an extended family with deaf and hearing members across three generations. Together they confront a technological device that can help the deaf to hear but may also threaten deaf culture - and their bonds with each other. For Peter Artinian and his wife, both of whom are deaf, a surgical ear implant for their five-year-old daughter Heather means a choice between two worlds - an unfamiliar hearing world and the deaf world, a robust culture in its own right united by a uniquely visual and artistic language. Heather Artinian - precocious, vivacious, and avidly curious about implant surgery - is caught between her deaf parents and her hearing grandparents, as they argue passionately about her future. The debate is sometimes silent, but by no means quiet. When all is done, Sound and Fury speaks volumes about the choices we make and the battles we fight in order to be heard..

The only problem: no doctor in Canada will perform operation because Martine's obesity makes her too great of a surgical risk. Will Martine and John find the happiness together that they deserve? Transfixed is a deeply human story about love, freedom, and self-actualization.

- DirectorMateo CabezaQue nadie duerma (Nobody Sleep) is a deep investigation into the creative process of dance company Danza Mobile while they create a new piece "En Vano". Over a period of two years I had the privilege of living together with the company and getting to know the work that they do at Danza Mobile; an organisation that uses dance as a medium to further the development of people with disabilities. If I were to sum up four qualities that stood out to me during my time with them they would be humanity, professionalism, respect and creativity. But what stood out most of all and what to most of society may seem surprising, was the way they relate to each other.
