The most popular thing to come out of Britain is this modern adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's esteemed detective. Accentuated by excellent turns from Cumberbatch and Freeman, stellar writing, and (usually) compelling mysteries, Sherlock is just about as good as it gets on TV now.

Good with Eccleston, Better with Tennant, a bit downhill with Smith...DW remains a must-see for British TV fans, though recent episode have been streamlined, the show still has some solid writing...though better in the early seasons
