Actresses that are worth watching. Note to other IMDb members: Some of these appearances are from yesteryear. This list is regardless of Old Father Time.
Okay, the real story behind this list is that I had the original on my cell phone, but it is unfortunately now lost forever due to a much-needed Factory Reset that saved my phone when it was very, very sick, but destroyed all my valuable notes. I do have some of it on a spare phone, so here I go, before that too gets lost.
Darn, I should have done this a long time ago!
If anybody else ever looks at this, these are notes meant for personal use, taken from Movies, TV and Music Videos. The symbols *__* remind that I do not own these items on DVD, while • means Unwatched As Yet. So, while the list will be shared with the public, it's reason for existence is simply as a personal reminder.

Modeling jobs led to commercials, which turned into film auditions; she booked roles in the feature films Fugitive Pieces (2007), Away from Her (2006), and the popular CTV television series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001), which led to The Vampire Diaries (2009), where she played the lead role for 6 seasons.
Nina loves to travel and has often visited Europe for pleasure, as well as to compete internationally, representing Canada in Aesthetic gymnastics. She enjoys playing volleyball and soccer, swimming, rock climbing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and horseback riding.
Above all, acting is her passion, and she sees it as an adventure that has just begun; she believes that the journey and the characters we create along the way will help us understand ourselves.THE ROOMMATE. Small part. Scene-stealing part, though. Looked her up afterwards (on the Net, d-uh!) and was stoked to find she is a lead actress in something called THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. Now, I am known for my association with BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, but I've never gotten to that one...- Yeah, I never did either... But she was in NIP/TUCK “Dr. Joshua Lee” as Abby, the cocaine-sniffing looker with the tattoo running along her spine. A non-speaking part, which nevertheless stole my attention, as her blonde fringe mesmerized me. Research showed she's also in *HOLLYWOOD VICE* a TV movie. And one more guest appearance in some TV show, but that is all, as of May 2016. Like I said on the Board Post for the NIP/TUCK episode, Hollywood's loss...

Vera Farmiga is an American actress who has received an Academy Award nomination for her role in Up in the Air (2009) and Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her roles in Bates Motel (2013) and When They See Us (2019).
She was born Vera Ann Farmiga, the second of seven children, on August 6, 1973, in Clifton, New Jersey, USA, to Ukrainian parents. She did not speak English until the age of six, and was raised in the Ukrainian Catholic home of her mother, Luba (Spas), a schoolteacher, and her father, Michael Farmiga, a computer systems analyst. Her younger sister is actress Taissa Farmiga, who is 21 years her junior. Young Vera was a shy, nearsighted girl, who played piano and folk danced with a Ukrainian touring company in her teens.
In 1991, she graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School. Farmiga initially dreamed of becoming an optometrist, but she later changed her mind and studied acting at Syracuse University's School of Performing Arts, graduating in 1995. The following year, she began her professional acting career, making her Broadway debut as an understudy in the play "Taking Sides". Her stage credits included performances in "The Tempest", "Good", "The Seagull", and in a well-reviewed off-Broadway production of "Second-Hand Smoke" (1997). That same year, she made her television debut as the female lead, opposite a then-unknown Heath Ledger, in Fox's adventure series Roar (1997).
In 1998, Farmiga made her big screen debut in the drama Return to Paradise (1998), then played the daughters of Christopher Walken in The Opportunists (1999) and Richard Gere in Autumn in New York (2000). She starred as a working-class mother struggling to keep her life and marriage together while hiding her drug addiction in Down to the Bone (2004), for which she was awarded Best Actress from the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association. Farmiga's acting talent shone in a range of characters, from her role as a senator's daughter in The Manchurian Candidate (2004), the wife of a mobster in Running Scared (2006), a humorous prostitute in Breaking and Entering (2006), and a police psychiatrist in The Departed (2006).
In 2010, Farmiga received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Up in the Air (2009). In 2011, she made her directorial debut with the drama Higher Ground (2011), in which she also appeared in the leading role. Although the film had a limited release, Farmiga's direction and performance received attention at several festivals. In 2013, she began starring in the drama thriller series Bates Motel (2013), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in the first season. In 2019, she received a second Primetime Emmy Award nomination, this time in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category, for her role in the drama miniseries When They See Us (2019).
Farmiga was formerly married to actor Sebastian Roché, whom she met during production of Roar (1997). The two eloped to the Bahamas after the series ended in 1997. They separated and subsequently divorced in 2004. On September 13, 2008, she married musician Renn Hawkey, with whom she has two children, son Fynn McDonnell (b. 2009) and daughter Gytta Lubov Hawkey (b. 2010). Farmiga lives with her family in Hudson Valley, New York. She got her start in acting by participating in local theatre productions, landing the starring role as "Madeline", when she was eight-years-old in "Madeline's Rescue" and "Jenny" in "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing". Realizing their daughter's love for performing, Genevieve's mom and dad made the decision to come out to Los Angeles for pilot season in what may have been the worst time in history to try and break into the entertainment business; during the 2008 Writers Guild of America strike. Upon arrival, despite the current conditions of the industry, Genevieve started to book projects, immediately. Her first real job, was a commercial for the "Aquarium of the Pacific". Soon after the commercial launched, she booked a series regular role on the Bob Saget series, Surviving Suburbia, for ABC, filming 13 episodes in 2009.
Although "Surviving Suburbia" only lasted one season, 2009 would prove to be a very busy year for Genevieve. Throughout the rest of 2009 to 2012, she landed roles on Disney Channel hit series, including Sonny with a Chance, Hannah Montana, I'm in the Band and Good Luck Charlie, in addition to her role in the Disney Channel original movie, Den Brother and Disney Channel's Leo Little's Big Show. Lisa Hartman is an American actress and singer from Houston, Texas. Her best known role was playing the protagonist Tabitha Stephens in the short-lived fantasy sitcom "Tabitha" (1977-1978). Her character was depicted as a young witch who worked as a production assistant in a television station. Tabitha was trying to start a career, while regularly dealing with supernatural events. The series was intended as a sequel to the hit sitcom "Bewitched" (1964-1972), with Tabitha being the grown-up daughter of the witch Samantha Stephens (played by Elizabeth Montgomery). The sequel series only lasted for 11 episodes, due to a rapid decline in its ratings.
Hartman had started a professional singing career in 1976, with the release of the eponymous studio album "Lisa Hartman". She subsequently released the studio albums "Hold On" (1979), "Letterock" (1983), and "Til My Heart Stops" (1987). Her albums were not commercially successful, despite her collaborations with successful songwriters and producers. Her single "If Love Must Go" (1982) was quite popular in the early 1980s, due to its use in television shows. Hartman had a brief career comeback with the duet "When I Said I Do" (1999), sang with her husband Clint Black. The song reached the top of the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, and the Canadian RPM Country Tracks chart. It peaked at number 31 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, the highest charting song in Hartman's singing career.
Hartman portrayed the villain Faith Stohler in the slasher film "Deadly Blessing" (1981), with the character motivated by an unrequited love for her neighbor Martha Schmidt (played by Maren Jensen). The film was among the early works of the famed horror director Wes Craven, but it was initially poorly received. It has a minor following among fans of vintage horror films, because a number of "eccentricities" make it quite different to other slasher films from this era.
In 1982, Hartman joined the cast of the soap opera "Knots Landing" (1979-1993). She portrayed the professional singer Ciji Dunne, who was a key figure in the series' 4th season (1983). The character was murdered off-screen by the end of the season, starting a murder mystery story-line with several suspects. Hartman's intended departure from the series was met with backlash from the viewers, as Ciji was a popular character. The writers then introduced the character of Cathy Geary (played by Hartman) who impersonated the deceased Ciji as part of a conspiracy. Cathy eventually became one of the series' main characters for several seasons, ensuring that the popular Hartman remained part of the cast. Hartman permanently left the series in 1986, at the end of the 7th season. The departure was part of a series of budget cuts at that time, but the writers had reportedly run out of ideas when it came to Cathy's story arc.
In 1984, Hartman portrayed co-protagonist Jennie Cooper in the sex comedy "Where the Boys Are '84". Jennie was portrayed as a vacationing college student during a spring break, who found herself romantically pursued by both a classical pianist and a free-spirited rocker. Hartman also performed the song "Where the Boys Are" for the film's soundtrack album. Her version of the song was also released as a single, but failed to chart.
For most of the late 1980s and the entire 1990s, Hartman regularly appeared in television films. She starred in the drama film "Roses Are for the Rich" (1987), as a miner's daughter who seeks revenge against the businessman whose negligence caused the accidental deaths of her loved ones.
In 1992, Hartman was cast in a main role in the short-lived soap opera "2000 Malibu Road". She portrayed the retired prostitute Jade O'Keefe, who had moved to a private beach house, along with 3 other women who were trying to rebuild their lives. The series only lasted for 6 episodes, leaving several unresolved cliffhangers. The series reportedly ended because its producers could not come to terms on license fees. Its ratings were relatively low, due to direct competition with another new soap opera: "Melrose Place" (1992-1999). This was Hartman's last recurring television role.
In 2020, Hartman and her husband Clint Black appeared on the fourth season of "The Masked Singer" under the guise of the "Snow Owls". They competed as the series' first duet competitors. They performed for 7 episodes, before being eliminated in the competition. So far, this has been the last notable television appearance by the veteran actress aside from an appearance on Talking in Circles with Clint Black (2021).T.J. Jeannine Kaspar is a fresh and exciting force taking Hollywood by storm. Born in Columbus, Georgia, Jeannine grew up in Durham, North Carolina as one of nine children. Jeannine got her big break starring in Freeheld (2015) opposite Steve Carell, Elliot Page and Julianne Moore.
Kaspar's interest in acting stems from growing up watching Will Ferrell on Saturday Night Live (2005). After high school she studied Communication Media at North Carolina State University, but her initial love for acting persisted and pushed her to pursue it once she completed her degree. After booking several commercials she realized it was undoubtedly what she wanted to dedicate herself to.
Kaspar made the decision to go to Los Angeles to pursue her career, which proved to be a great move. Her television credits include guest star appearances on NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), USA's In Plain Sight (2008), and recurring spots on FX's Nip/Tuck (2003) and House of Lies (2012). On the big screen, Kaspar's credits include the blockbuster hit Iron Man (2008) (with Robert Downey Jr.), the indie feature Paper Covers Rock (2008) (which won many awards on the festival circuit, including Best Actress for Kaspar), and the thriller Hidden in the Woods (2014) (with William Forsythe).
Kaspar stars in the drama Freeheld (2015) opposite an A-list cast including Julianne Moore, Steve Carell and Elliot Page. Freeheld is based on the true story and Academy Award-winning short documentary of the same name; it follows New Jersey police lieutenant Laurel Hester (Moore) and her registered domestic partner Stacie Andree (Page) as they both battle to secure Hester's pension benefits after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Kaspar has a leading role in Supermoto (2016), from Sam Bisbee and the team that brought us indie darling Infinitely Polar Bear (2014) with Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo.Just look at that face! And three hours ago, while I was asleep, she responded to my comment on the board post of her IMDb page where I praised her beauty on “August Walden” episode of NIP/TUCK. Research brought to light BIKINI MOON, slated for release this year, I will keep tabs on that.- Elizabeth Kaitan was born on July 19, 1960 in Hungary. She was brought to New York City by her mother at the age of eight.
Kaitan moved to Manhattan at age 18 in order to fulfill her lifelong ambition of being an actress in motion pictures. She studied her craft at the New York Academy of Theatrical Arts and was a member of the repertory company the American Theatre of Arts for several years (Kaitan acted in works by William Shakespeare as well as contemporary dramas). In addition, Kaitan kept herself afloat by doing modeling work for the Bonnie Kay Agency in New York City.
She made her film debut in the raucous comedy Waitress! (1982) and got her SAG card by doing a one-line bit part as a German girl in Woody Allen's Zelig (1983). Elizabeth moved to Los Angeles, California in 1984. She alternated between lead and supporting roles in a bunch of entertainingly trashy low-budget exploitation features in the horror, action, comedy and science fiction genres. Kaitan appeared as Candy in the "Vice Academy" film series. Her other memorable parts include Jennifer Statson in Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987), Daria in Slave Girls from Beyond Infinity (1987), one of the titular airheads in Assault of the Killer Bimbos (1988), Julie Johnson in Necromancer (1988), Robin in Friday the 13th: The New Blood (1988), and Gretchen Hope in Roller Blade Warriors: Taken by Force (1989). Kaitan was particularly impressive in a dual starring role as both frustrated unhappy housewife Beth and more uninhibited fantasy lover Liza in the steamy Night Club (1989). Moreover, she occasionally popped up in minor parts in such mainstream films as The Lonely Guy (1984), Twins (1988), and Spy Hard (1996). Alas, she voluntarily quit acting in the late 1990s and married a Los Angeles sheriff's deputy. Kaitan now works as a secretary for controversial conservative political activist David Horowitz. The girl remembered from the movie title I had completely forgotten, and it took Star-Core's help on “I Need To Know” to get *NIGHT CLUB* off the list of Vague Memories. She is also in stinker SOUTH BEACH ACADEMY.

A doe-eyed, honey-blond actress of extraordinary beauty, Suzy Kendall was one of the most popular British actresses of the 1960s. Yet, she never really sought the spotlight and accepted fame only reluctantly. Born as Freida Harrison, her goal was actually to be a clothing designer and, in fact, she majored in fabric and fashion design at Derby College. In pursuing her studies, she inevitably ran into fashion photographers and agents. With few exceptions, they were very taken by her looks and urged her to go into modeling. While not particularly interested in that line of work, she was flattered by the compliments and saw a chance to make some extra income. In addition, she saw it as a way to draw attention to her fashion ideas. So, she signed up with a recommended agency, who gave her the name Suzy Kendall. To her surprise, she immediately was in constant demand. This was at a time when there was increased crossover in the British entertainment industry, with singers appearing in motion pictures. Before long, she began to receive film offers and, while not trained as an actress, was persuaded by her agents to accept film and television roles. The first roles were minor in nature, but included a part in the spy caper The Liquidator (1965), which was a major success. She became internationally known with her prominent role in To Sir, with Love (1967), a sort of British version of Blackboard Jungle (1955). That same year, she starred in the crime thriller The Penthouse (1967), playing a woman taken hostage by violent criminal predators. She disliked the film, but it was a major hit. It was around this time that she met the highly talented and famous but insecure Dudley Moore, with whom she co-starred in 30 Is a Dangerous Age, Cynthia (1968). They immediately hit it off and gradually became a couple, marrying in 1968. At Moore's urging, she accepted the title role in Fraulein Doktor (1969), in which she plays a World War I femme fatale, based on Mata Hari. In spite of some good reviews, it was not a success. However, her career was boosted again in The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970), in which she plays the girlfriend of a murder suspect who becomes the target of the real killer. The film was an international success and made director Dario Argento a household name among horror fans. By this time, she wanted to become a mother and cut back on her career. But Moore's career had found worldwide success and he didn't think the time was right for raising children. This and their increasing time spent apart took a toll, and they subsequently divorced. However, their marriage ended amicably and they remained good friends for the remainder of his life. She continued to work through the 1970's, mostly as threatened heroines in violent horror films of uneven quality. She soon found herself in a professional rut in an industry that wasn't all that important to her. She remarried and settled into a private life, concentrating on her marriage and raising their child. She did briefly return to the public eye in 2002, when she hosted a memorial service for her late former husband, Moore, who was friends not only with her but her current husband, as well, even giving their daughter piano lessons.

Miranda Otto is an Australian actress. Otto is a daughter of actors Barry Otto and Lindsay Otto, and half-sister of actress Gracie Otto. She began her acting career at age 18 in 1986, and has appeared in a variety of independent and major studio films. Otto made her major film debut in Emma's War (1987), in which she played a teenager who moves to Australia's bush country during World War II. After a decade of critically acclaimed roles in Australian films, Otto gained Hollywood's attention during the 1990s after appearing in supporting roles in the films The Thin Red Line (1998) and What Lies Beneath (2000). She played Éowyn in the second and third installments of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film series.
Otto's first post-graduation film role in 1991, as Nell Tiscowitz in The Girl Who Came Late (1992), was her breakthrough role, which brought her to the attention of the Australian film industry and the general public. In the film, directed by Kathy Mueller, she starred as a young woman who could communicate with horses. Her appearance garnered Otto her first Australian Film Institute nomination for Best Actress the following year.
Otto's next role was in the film The Last Days of Chez Nous (1992), which portrayed the complex relationships between the members of an Australian family. The film earned Otto her second Australian Film Institute nomination, this time for Best Supporting Actress.
In 1993, Otto co-starred with Noah Taylor in the sexually provocative comedy film The Nostradamus Kid (1993), which was based on the memories of author Bob Ellis during the 1960s. Otto was drawn to the film because she was "fascinated by the period and the people who came out of it." A small role in the independent film Sex Is a Four Letter Word (1995) followed in 1995.
In 1995, she began to doubt her career choice as she failed to get the parts for which she auditioned. She fled to her home in Newcastle for almost a year, during which she painted her mother's house. In 1996, director Shirley Barrett cast Otto as a shy waitress in the film Love Serenade (1996). She played Dimity Hurley, a lonely young woman, who competes with her older sister Vicki-Ann for the attention of a famous DJ from Brisbane. She starred in the 1997 films The Well (1997) and Doing Time for Patsy Cline (1997). When Otto received the film script for The Well, she refused to read it, fearing that she would not get the part. Otto believed that she could not convincingly play the role of Katherine, who is supposed to be 18, as she was 30 at the time. The film, directed by Samantha Lang, starred Otto as a teenager involved in a claustrophobic relationship with a lonely older woman. The Well received mixed reviews; critic Paul Fisher wrote that Otto's performance was not "convincing" as she was "playing another repetitious character about whom little is revealed", while Louise Keller stated that Otto had delivered "her best screen performance yet." Otto earned her third Australian Film Institute nomination for the film. Later that year, she co-starred with Richard Roxburgh in the drama Doing Time for Patsy Cline. The low-budget Australian film required Otto to perform country music standards and also received mixed reviews from film critics.
Soon after the release of The Well and Doing Time for Patsy Cline, magazines and other media outlets were eager to profile the actress. In 1997, Otto began dating her Doing Time for Patsy Cline co-star Richard Roxburgh. Her involvement with Roxburgh made her a regular subject of Australian tabloid magazines and media at the time, a role to which she was unaccustomed.
Otto's next project was the romantic comedy Dead Letter Office (1998). The film was Otto's first with her father, Barry, who makes a brief appearance. In the Winter Dark (1998), directed by James Bogle, followed later that year. Otto played Ronnie, a pregnant woman recently abandoned by her boyfriend. The film was a critical success in Australia, and Otto was nominated for her fourth Australian Film Institute Award. A small role in The Thin Red Line, led to further film roles outside of Australia, such as in Italy, where she co-starred as Ruth in the low-budget Italian film The Three-Legged Fox (2004), produced in 2001 and broadcast for the first time on Italian television in March 2009.
Otto's first Hollywood role was opposite Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer in the suspense thriller What Lies Beneath in 2000. She played Mary Feur, a mysterious next-door neighbor. The film was met with mixed reviews, but was an international success, grossing US$291 million. In 2001, she was cast as a naturalist in the comedy Human Nature (2001). Writer Charlie Kaufman, impressed by her audition two years earlier for his film Being John Malkovich (1999), arranged for Otto to audition and meet with the film's director Michel Gondry. Human Nature was both a commercial and critical disappointment.
Otto made her theatrical debut in the 1986 production of The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant for the Sydney Theatre Company. Three more theatrical productions for the Sydney Theatre Company followed in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 2002, she returned to the stage playing Nora Helmer in A Doll's House opposite her future husband Peter O'Brien. Otto's performance earned her a 2003 Helpmann Award nomination and the MO Award for "Best Female Actor in a Play".
Her next stage role was in the psychological thriller Boy Gets Girl (2005), in which she played Theresa, a journalist for a New York magazine. Otto committed to the project days before she found out she was pregnant. Robyn Nevin, the director, rescheduled the production from December 2004 to September 2005 so Otto could appear in it. In 2005, Nevin began pre-production on a play commissioned especially for Otto.HUMAN NATURE, as the fake French filly, oui! On the bed in her little boudoir...

Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California, to Joyce (Vanraden) and Charles Patton. Her father is African-American and her mother, who is caucasian, has German, English, and Dutch ancestry. Her family lived across the street from the 20th Century Fox lot when she was growing up and she was a fan of films from her earliest years. Her mother, who also appreciated good films, was a schoolteacher, and her father was a lawyer. Paula claims that as a girl she would escape by "pretending to be someone else" so it was not a surprise that she acted in high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School. Her favorite role was that of "Abigail" in "The Crucible". However, she went on to study film at the University of Southern California in a summer program, and won a 3-month assignment making documentaries for PBS. This led to her working as a production assistant for TV documentaries, and also for Howie Mandel's talk show. She progressed to actually producing documentary segments for Medical Diaries (2000) airing on Discovery Health Channel. Paula now professes that she liked what she was doing, but her dream remained the same as when she was small so she took acting lessons and shifted gears to become a performer. She was almost immediately successful and, within three years, had played parts in major features, Hitch (2005) and Idlewild (2006) and the female lead in Deja Vu (2006) opposite Denzel Washington.Music video LOVE AFTER WAR.- Actress

Autumn Reeser saw her breakout role as the individualist Taylor Townsend on the popular Fox drama series "The O.C." Since then she's become known for her intelligent and heartfelt performances in roles such as firecracker junior agent Lizzie Grant on HBO's "Entourage" and become an in-demand and beloved star in Hallmark movies.
Acting came into Autumn's life as a clear calling when she was six years old and her parents took her to see her first play at the community theater in the small surf town of Carlsbad, California. She begged to audition for the next one, the jumping off point for a lifelong love-affair with art, musical expression and the exploration of the human character and psyche. Strongly connected to Spirit, she followed her guidance to apply for only one college, a new musical theatre program being launched at UCLA, and was accepted. After many late nights waitressing to support herself and rigorous training at various acting programs throughout Los Angeles, she began working steadily in film and TV and has not stopped since.
Her first role was as an alien girl on 'Star Trek: Voyager' at the age of 20, followed by honing her comedic chops on sitcoms such as 'The George Lopez Show' and 'Grounded For Life', and pouring her heart out in dramas such as 'Cold Case' and 'CSI'. Her breakout role came in 2005, as the quirky-cute and socially awkward Taylor Townsend on the final two seasons of The O.C. (2003), for which she received high critical acclaim. She's also known for her role as firecracker junior agent Lizzie Grant on HBO's 'Entourage' as scientist Katie Andrew in ABC's No Ordinary Family (2010), along with actors Michael Chiklis, Julie Benz. In 2012, she starred as sexy weapons expert Kylie Sinclair in Shawn Ryan's short-lived political thriller Last Resort (2012), on ABC. She also appeared as Dr. Gabrielle Asano on Hawaii 5-0, sports agent Abby Bruce opposite John Stamos on Necessary Roughness, and lead the cast in numerous romances for Hallmark.
In 2021 she directed her first short film and earned her first executive-producer credit for developing Hallmark's "The 27-Hour Day," followed by 'The Wedding Veil' trilogy with Lacey Chabert and Ali Sweeney, which was Hallmark's most-watched series of 2022.
In addition to her film and television career, she has appeared onstage in "For the Record: Tarantino" at Rockwell, "The OC Musical" at the Montelban, "Too Much Sun" at the Odyssey, and numerous cabarets. She is a member of The WorkJuice Players alongside Paul F. Tompkins and Busy Phillips, best known for their ongoing radio play series and podcast, "The Thrilling Adventure Hour." In the last few years, she has directed two new musicals: 'City of Light' at Feinsteins 54 Below in New York and 'Modern' in USC's LiveRead Workshop program and is the co-creator of the musical 'Particle.'
Autumn lives in Los Angeles with her sons Finn & Dash and has served on the board of the SAG-AFTRA union. She is an advocate for women, performers and working parents, as well as a counselor and intuitive guide. She offers mentorship to artists through her website.Taylor Townsend on THE O.C. #3, has since become a total goof, the character I mean, and a total send-up of herself, but back there in the beginning, I had to add her to my Archive. Also in THE GIRL NEXT DOOR, which you just cannot go wrong with.

Plays the bad girl, but again, who cares? She can bad girl me all the way, as long as she looks like that.
There's that song "I'm a cheerleader, and you're not" at a strategic point, underscoring that beauty. So, okay, she is supposed to be the bad girl, but in the looks department... (sigh)- Born in Budapest, Hungary, her true name is Katherina Freiin Schell von Bauschlott, the scion of a once wealthy German patrician family. Her father, the Baron Paul Schell von Bauschlott, was a well-respected diplomat until the Nazis confiscated their estates during WWII, while her mother was Countess Katharina Maria Etelka Georgina Elisabeth Teleki de Szék. Her family was living in poverty until 1948 when they sought asylum in Vienna and Salzburg as the communist regime began to take hold in Hungary. In 1950, her family emigrated to the States and Baron von Schell Bauschlott renounced his title in order for his family to gain citizenship. Catherine entered a convent school in New York's Staten Island area. In 1957, her father joined Radio Free Europe, taking the family to Munich where she developed an interest for acting and trained at the prestigious Falconberg School. Her inauspicious debut (sometimes billed as Catherine von Schell) was in the German film Lana, Queen of the Amazons (1964). While filming Amsterdam Affair (1968), she met and married actor William Marlowe, subsequently moving to London. She went on to appear in Moon Zero Two (1969), the James Bond feature On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), Callan (1974) and The Black Windmill (1974), but is best known at that time for the slapstick comedy The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), which marked Peter Sellers' cinematic revisiting of his "Inspector Clouseau" character. Extremely visible on TV with frequent work in such series as The Persuaders! (1971), The Adventurer (1972) and the cult sci-fi series Space: 1999 (1975) starring Barbara Bain and Martin Landau playing the role of "Maya", an alien, for which she is best known. Her marriage to actor Marlowe had run its course by 1977, and she met director Bill Hays that same year, who had two children from a previous marriage. They married in 1982, together working on a TV production of A Month in the Country (1985). Her career began to wane by the time she did the series Wish Me Luck (1987) and she retired shortly thereafter, running a small guest hotel in France. Catherine is often mistakenly thought of as a sister of actors Maximilian Schell, Maria Schell, Immy Schell and Carl Schell, but she is not. One of her two brothers, Paul von Schell, is, however, the widower of actress Hildegard Knef. And you wake up, and you're married to that! A fate worse than death? I think not!
