I didn't watch all the movies of all these directors. Surely I change this list when I see more movies

- DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsAsa ButterfieldChloë Grace MoretzChristopher LeeIn 1931 Paris, an orphan living in the walls of a train station gets wrapped up in a mystery involving his late father and an automaton.Martin Scorsese's
Scorsese's experience with 3D. Hugo's is visually beautiful, a story of a childhood, A childhood that does not touch all aspects of childhood, the fears and injustices that a child feels with the adult laws ... A film that lacks much. Really, that was the first experience of Scorsese directing a film for all audiences. - DirectorRidley ScottStarsNoomi RapaceLogan Marshall-GreenMichael FassbenderFollowing clues to the origin of mankind, a team finds a structure on a distant moon, but they soon realize they are not alone.Ridley Scott's
Probably here you could choose different options from Scott's latest films. But I selected Prometheus cause of the disappointment that was for me. First I thought "Oh, great! Ridley Scott returns to take the reins of the universe 'Alien'" Then I watched a so wonderful trailer.
Then... I watched the film and I thought: "What the *beep*. - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsTom CruiseNicole KidmanTodd FieldA Manhattan doctor embarks on a bizarre, night-long odyssey after his wife's admission of unfulfilled longing.Stanley Kubrick's
The latest Kubrick's film was the one that least filled me. Start with a great and disturbing plot, but the brilliance of the film coats the hollow. - DirectorAlfred HitchcockStarsJames StewartGrace KellyWendell CoreyA wheelchair-bound photographer spies on his neighbors from his Greenwich Village courtyard apartment window and, despite the skepticism of his fashion-model girlfriend, becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.Alfred Hitchcock's
The principal reason cause this movie is here: I felt bored when I watched it. - DirectorDavid FincherStarsJake GyllenhaalRobert Downey Jr.Mark RuffaloBetween 1968 and 1983, a San Francisco cartoonist becomes an amateur detective obsessed with tracking down the Zodiac Killer, an unidentified individual who terrorizes Northern California with a killing spree.David Fincher's
First of thought wrong things: I didn't watched Alien 3 neither Panic Room.
Zodiac is a movie that cannot take off, it has a hard time catching up, and 157 min seem even longer. - DirectorEthan CoenJoel CoenStarsOscar IsaacCarey MulliganJohn GoodmanA week in the life of a young singer as he navigates the Greenwich Village folk scene of 1961.Joel and Ethan Coen's
I could select 'The Ladykillers' or 'Hail, Caesar!', but I haven't watched it, so I would cheat.
An opaque story and a difficult character to love. - DirectorDanny BoyleStarsJames McAvoyRosario DawsonVincent CasselAn art auctioneer mixed up with a group of criminals partners with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.Danny Boyle's
Perhaps Danny Boyle has fun adding twists and turns and tunnels to his modern noir movie. His continual changes of course cause me to lose patience. - DirectorPeter JacksonStarsMartin FreemanIan McKellenRichard ArmitageA reluctant Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out to the Lonely Mountain with a spirited group of dwarves to reclaim their mountain home and the gold within it from the dragon Smaug.
Peter Jackson's
I cannot select his firsts and cheapests gore movies as 'Bad Taste' or 'Braindead', come on, the casting was mainly formed by his friends. The reason to choose 'The Hobbit' is the great fall that there was from something as big as it was 'The Lord of the Rings'. And the main problem was to create three movies for a so short book.
I must to recognize that the 3D and the 48 fpm were great. - DirectorDarren AronofskyStarsRussell CroweJennifer ConnellyAnthony HopkinsNoah is chosen by God to undertake a momentous mission before an apocalyptic flood cleanses the world.Darren Aronofski's
After a heartbreaking tragedy on drugs, a psychotic story of a dancer, a disturbing and sensitive story of an old wrestler and so other good works... We had a... what? a biblic story about a family, monsters and divine powers...
A falsely spiritual mainstream. - DirectorPaul Thomas AndersonStarsJoaquin PhoenixJosh BrolinOwen WilsonIn 1970, drug-fueled Los Angeles private investigator Larry "Doc" Sportello investigates the disappearance of a former girlfriend.Paul Thomas Anderson's
A prolific director of the last 20 years. This movie seems an empty, unbearable and even absurd and disjointed story. - DirectorAlejandro G. IñárrituStarsLeonardo DiCaprioTom HardyWill PoulterA frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fights for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team.Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu's
Filming and photography was great.
The problem?
The screenwrite, a black and white movie. What is good is always good and what is bad is always bad. DiCaprio won the Academy Award, but he had so much better roles before. - DirectorJames CameronStarsLeonardo DiCaprioKate WinsletBilly ZaneA seventeen-year-old aristocrat falls in love with a kind but poor artist aboard the luxurious, ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic.James Cameron's
The most overrated film by the Academy. OK, the realization and the production is great, but the plot and the performances are full of cliches and mellow. - DirectorLuc BessonStarsScarlett JohanssonMorgan FreemanChoi Min-sikA woman, accidentally caught in a dark deal, turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.Luc Besson's
We know that Besson is an unstable director. This film introduces us to a super woman with dazzling powers that goes around insolently. This would work more like a silly superhero movie than a science fiction one. - DirectorRoman PolanskiStarsJohnny DeppFrank LangellaLena OlinA book broker discovers his latest find may summon Satan.Roman Polanski's
Here we have a predictable and unstable movie, that does not produce suspense until reaching a joke conclusion. - DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsLeonardo DiCaprioBrad PittMargot RobbieA faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.Quentin Tarantino 's
First film that DiCaprio and Pitt meet, a promising meeting that leads to a disappointing film. No plot appeal, lack of dramatic and comic sense. Excellent actors in a plot lacking in wit, in which you have to endure almost three hours in the cinema. - DirectorChristopher NolanStarsJohn David WashingtonRobert PattinsonElizabeth DebickiArmed with only the word "Tenet," and fighting for the survival of the entire world, CIA operative, The Protagonist, journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a global mission that unfolds beyond real time.Christopher Nolan's
