Tuberculosis.
Tuberculosis, TB, is a serious condition described as an infectious or contagious disease in the strain of the mycobacteria. A person can develop TB if an affected person coughs, sneezes, or spits into the air, which is how sensitive this transferrable disease is. Symptoms of TB includes chronic coughing, night sweats, fever, fatigue, weight loss, and blood tingled sputum. If TB attacks other areas besides organs, the symptoms of TB includes.
Please note that TB can range from latent, no symptoms, whereas, active TB consist of a host of symptoms and infections. People who have TB may develop TB, which means 1 to 10 latent infections progress into active TB. Unfortunately, 50 percent of people died from active TB after starting at with latent TB, which is similar to first developing AIDS when the conditions forms into AIDS.
When a person has TB, they must take antibiotics probably for the rest of their lives. However, antibiotic resistance is a huge concern in multiple drug resistance tuberculosis infection, which means other treatment (vaccine/needles) is required besides the antibiotics.
To properly diagnose patents, doctors uses radiology chest x-rays, tuberculosis skin test and blood test.
80 percent of the population in the African and Asian countries tested positive for TB. Whereas, 5 to 10 percent of the US population are TB positive. One third of the population is said to be affected with TB. 13 million cases of TB were documented in 2013. TB accounts for 1.3 to 1.5 million deaths annually. Due to weak immune system from HIV or AIDS, people are at greater risk of developing TB.
