Henry Lloyd-Hughes shares with IMDbPro his best advice for aspiring actors, how to "not to take advice from people I wouldn’t change places with”, and more!2 of 6
IMDbPro: How should aspiring actors utilize IMDbPro to help them in their careers? What other advice would you share with them?
Henry Lloyd-Hughes: I always follow the advice "not to take advice from people I wouldn’t change places with” so that all depends on whether your readers would want to change places with me! A few basics: It’s a marathon not a sprint, using resources like IMDbPro is super useful for researching fantastic directors, writers, and technicians. It’s fascinating to find out if a certain DOP shot a certain film, because you can recognize the shots he uses for example. But from an acting point of view I think it’s important not to get dragged into direct comparison. Everyone is on a unique path.
