The faithful 'Rinty,' who has been following them, takes a note from Mary to Nolan. The latter comes to their rescue, and the doctor tells them the baby sister was bitten by a wolf, and the blood on 'Rinty' came from his fight against the wolf. The little sister will get well, and 'Rinty' accepts the apologies from Mary and Nolan.

That same morning, Boris Pizaza, who owns the vaudeville act, arrives at the house with his daughter Nell because Jeffrey had proposed to her the night before. Nell realizes that Jeffrey did not really mean to propose and is willing to give back the money he paid for the animals, but just then Lorella and her mother arrive. Although Jeffrey tries to sequester Nell, her father and the animals in a closet, they fall out and Mrs. Cavendore insists on breaking the engagement. Jeffrey's predicament is further complicated by the arrival or his father Jim and grandfather Jim. After another wild party that afternoon, Grandfather Jim tells Jeffrey that he must decide between his family and keeping the animals. Jeffrey selects the animals and is then disinherited. Sometime later, after Jeffrey has joined the vaudeville act, Nell is lured to a bungalow owned by Karl Kenton, the cad who had arranged Jeffrey's disastrous parties. Pretending to poison herself rather than submit, she escapes, after which Jeffrey, who has fallen in love with her, goes to Karl's and fights with him. Following a series of escapades, and with the aid of his valet, Lewis, and White Star, Jeffrey finally reconciles with his family and marries Nell.

Anne stays over at Rebecca Morgan's apartment and invites Kingston to dinner; making his departure, he sees Madeline shoot Chappell. Anne tries to assume the guilt, but Johnny, a cabdriver friend, convinces the police of Madeline's guilt. Kingston and Anne are happily united.

At the theater where Kitty is appearing Max is the best-dressed man in April's party, but later at a nightclub Kitty exposes him, and he is deserted by his society friends. Disillusioned, Max returns home at the request of his father. Soon Kitty follows, realizing that he is miserable without her.

Vixen commits suicide, and Eve returns to John, now believing that John is the only man for her--not surprising, since Ralph is dead.

The latter is really Tod Pembroke, but his heavy beard makes him unrecognizable, but he recognizes his brother and Ruth. Devine learns of his brothers mission, shaves his beard and sails for Paroa, and poses as his ill-brother. "Bully" Rawden, the island trader opposes the building of a mission, but Tod whips him in a fight, and holds services that night. Marietta, Rawden's daughter, falls in love with him, but Tod, unable to reveals his true identity, has to conceal his feelings for her.

Dick Wayne, a sailor on an American cruiser that is repairing a damaged cable in the waters off the lighthouse, learns of Faith's captivity and comes to her rescue. Piet kills Jacob in a fit of jealousy, and Dick then kills Piet in a fight. Hans sets the lighthouse on fire and incinerates himself. Dick and Faith make it back to the cruiser.

He, his manager and his trainer go to the Brooks apartment where Phyllis is throwing a big party, and the angry Brooks poops on the party and throws all attendees out. Phyllis leaves him. On the night of his comeback fight, Phyllis is injured in an automobile accident and taken to a hospital where her condition is diagnosed as serious. Brooks is kept from knowing about it until just before his fight. When he is told that Phyllis is listening to the fight on the radio, Brooks quickly dispatches his opponent and heads for a reconciliation with Phyllis.

Bob comes to her rescue, knocking Blacky into a pit during a fight. As he is dying, Blacky informs Bob that DeLaine is not Margy's real father. Later, Bob proves himself to his newly arrived father and the sheriff when he captures the escaping DeLaine.

Frank and Donald fight aboard a raft heading for the rapids; Donald is killed when thrown from the raft, but Frank makes it to shore.

Later he is reinstated by the dean and plans to join the football squad against Stanford, but the day of the game finds him again in disgrace because he has gone to a roadhouse to protect Mary from her jazzy companions, and then to assist her after an accident. At the last minute, he is called into the game, and his team wins.

She is locked in her dormitory for betting on her football team. She hears that her sweetheart is barred from the game for cheating, and gets out of the dormitory with the aid of a student. She says she is the guilty party. The boy rejoins the team and wins the game. The other student catches the guilty ones and they confess.

They regain consciousness and find themselves together on the same bed in a near-by farm house. Ralph decides he no longer wants a divorce. Lillian decides she will a Marine Captain.
