The children return to the surface and say goodbye to Red Lantern.

The lead dogs pass by a fox but not Herbert, but the fox takes Herbert over to a sleeping bear and identifies the bear as a fox. Herbert blows his bugle, but the hunt resume, without Herbert, when the dogs see the bear. The fox returns and, at Herbert's invitation, joins him for a spot of tea.

The fox gives him several tasks to perform, all designed with Huey ending up on the fox's dinner table, but dumb Huey turns the situations and the fox is rendered harmless. The scouts make Huey an honorary member, and the battered fox is used as a patrol flag.

Audrey saves herself, and, seeing the police officer in danger, has the zoo elephants drain the lake. The grateful cop stops street traffic to play baseball with Audrey.

Once there, he gets rough treatment from mosquitoes, ants and fish. He returns home to find the mice have baked him a coming-home cake, that, since the candle is a stick of dynamite, explodes in his face, thereby making him feel at home.

She awakens, and finds her canary it its cage romancing a bird that resembles Cock Robin.

The cat-vs.-fish chase continues until Finny ends up in a bottle of wine, and Katnip quickly drinks the contents of the bottle, including little Finny. Katnip burps up Finny, and both the cat and fish end up as intoxicated buddies.

A little fish swims up and promply cuts the worm off for his meal. Katnip inspects his line and decides to change to wire fishing line. All set, he casts out. What a shock when an electric eel decides to bite. The "Angler's Guide" advises: "Bass or snapper, trout or snook, go for crow bait on a hook!" Katnip tries to catch Buzzy for bait. Near the end of the cartoon, Katnip runs afoul of the bulldog who guards the pier where he has been fishing. The dog picks up a harpoon and begins chasing Katnip around a tree and stabbing him in the backside with the harpoon ad nauseam. They have been running around the same tree for so long that, by the cartoon's end, they have literally worn a trench around the tree. Meanwhile, Buzzy is safely reclining in his bird's nest high atop the same tree- sipping on a cocktail and looking down at the melee. "My, my - now ain't that disgustin'," he says in his Amos and Andy-type dialect.

Cros didn't come any fresher than Buzzy, and when Katnip spies him ice-skating, he decides to eat him. Buzzy brews up a concoction of pepper, tabasco sauce and mustard, which turn the cat into a fireworks display, and a blazing sun-lamp sets him on fire. The burning cat rushes out into the snow, which melts...and then freezes over him. Buzzy resumes his ice skating.

Wishbone pleads that he is innocent and helpless as he leads Waxey into the clutches of a sinister, weasel-hating guard dog.

Tommy takes a beating at first and "Moe" knocks him through the "screen" onto the the animator's table, where Tommy learns what strategy and weapons "Moe" will be using in the fight. Since his shell is good protection, Tommy produces two more shells and "Moe" is soon confused by having to play the old shell game. The hare then stuffs horseshoe into his gloves, but the tortoise reacts by pushing a magnet for the rabbit's throat. The rabbit is soon punching himself.

Upon retrieving Cuddles' mouse toy in a safe, Snardley also finds the will left by Cuddles' deceased owner. The will states that if anything were to happen to Cuddles then the entire fortune and estate will belong to Snardley. The butler got excited upon reading the will and tries to kill Cuddles in order to legally be the owner of the money and mansion. Only to find that eliminating the kitten is not as easy as it looks.

Huey accidentally frees them when he jumps onto the fox in his enthusiasm to join them. The fox decides he'd rather pursue the gigantic Huey than the tiny ducklings, and when he overhears Huey wishing he could play pirate, the fox dresses as a pirate aboard a convenient nearby replica pirate ship. The fox tries a kettle in the crow's nest, rigged to drop onto a stove, but Huey inadvertently gets the fox into the kettle instead. Next, fox blindfolds Huey and has him walk the plank into a kettle dangling off the end, but Huey sends the kettle flying onto the fox and into a barrel of tar; thinking the trapped fox is an octopus, Huey bashes him. Finally, fox sends Huey after buried treasure, consisting of a booby-trapped treasure chest; Huey sends the knives in the chest flying toward fox, where they remove his minimal disguise, allowing even Baby Huey to recognize the fox. Huey sends the fox on a small boat crashing into the pirate ship, where the ducklings use him as a mop to swab the deck.

A huge gorilla appears and they quit laughing and scurry away while the gorilla attacks Louie's father. Will Louie save the day?

But the tutor winds up in the ocean---unless Huey lived on a shark-infested lake---and and is about to become a shark meal but Huey saves his life...and gets his diploma as a reward from the grateful tutor.
