Nazeem Hussain has fast become one of the biggest stars of Australian comedy, and a much loved television and radio personality.
Nazeem's Netflix special 'Nazeem Hussain: Public Frenemy', filmed in Montreal at the Just For Laughs Festival, started streaming globally in 2019, introducing Nazeem to a legion of new fans, and critical acclaim. Funny Or Die, and Chortleboth listed Nazeem's special amongst their favourites.

Nazeem's prime time TV comedy series 'Orange Is The New Brown' aired on Channel 7 in late 2018 to rave reviews. Nazeem created and starred in the sketch series, working alongside Claudia Karvan, Tim Minchin, Urzila Carlson and Kat Stewart. Several of the sketches have gone viral online, being viewed by over 10 million people.
Stand-up comedy is Nazeem's, first love. He won the Best Newcomer Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and has twice been nominated for the Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer. 2019 saw Nazeem perform 'Basic Idiot', his fifth consecutive stand-up tour, to his largest ever audiences in every major Australian city, and then some. He also supported Aziz Ansari on his 2019 Australia tour.
Nazeem became a household name when he reached the Grand Final of Channel 10's 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!', having to bunk up with Dane Swan, Steve Price, Casey Donovan and Natalie Bassingthwaighte for over six weeks! Nazeem's chosen charity was InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Domestic Violence.
Nazeem is perhaps best known as the creator and star of his TV show, 'Legally Brown', airing for two seasons on SBS Television in 2013 & 2014. The show broke ground with its boundary- pushing content, received widespread critical acclaim and was nominated for Most Outstanding Comedy at the 2015 Logie Awards.
He made his American TV debut as an official correspondent for both seasons of the hit Netflix series 'Bill Nye Saves the World' with American scientist and TV personality Bill Nye (popularly known as 'Bill Nye the Science guy'). He was also invited to perform at the prestigious Montreal 'Just for Laughs Festival' as a part of Kevin Hart's LOL network.
A regular on international stages, Nazeem has performed around the globe, including sell-out seasons at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, London's Soho Theatre, all across New Zealand, Paris, Belgium, China, Singapore, Malaysia, the US (including opening for Dave Chappelle in New York City), and a homecoming show of sorts in Sri Lanka to 2,500 people (yes, the Prime Minister and his wife sat on thrones in the front row).
Nazeem was a regular on the Comedy Channel's hugely successful, ASTRA award-winning 'Balls of Steel Australia'. His self-created character, Calvin Khan - the Very Foreign Correspondent, saw his episodes achieve the highest ratings of the season. Nazeem also starred on the cult-hit Salam Cafe on SBS, which was nominated for a Logie Award in 2009.
Nazeem's other TV appearances include The Project, The Full Brazilian (SBS), Hughesy We Have A Problem, The Weekly With Charlie Pickering, and even ABC's Q and A alongside Malcolm Turnbull. Most recently he was the MC for Australian Lockdown Comedy Festival on Stan and can be seen in the Australian Amazon Original series, 'LOL: Last One Laughing' along with a star-studded cast of Australian comedians. Nazeem is also the host of The Standup Sessions featuring Australia's top and emerging comedians on the (digital) stage for the new comedy series as part of the Victoria Together initiative.
To add to his ever-growing credits, Nazeem's first comedy podcast Burn Your Passport won iTunes Best Comedy Podcast of 2016 and is ranked in the 20 most listened to podcasts in Australia. In 2020 he launched his latest podcast Survivor's Guide to Corona Virus, teaming up with some of Australia's most loved comedians, entertainers and personalities and his next offering is an Audible original podcast, 'Rogue Son', out now.
In 2021, Nazeem joined Dave Hughes with his problem-solving line up weekly on Hughesy, We Have A Problem on Channel 10, was the co-host of ABC's marquee show, Australia Talks, in Amazon Prime's latest sketch show, The Moth Effect, host of ABC podcast, The Pineapple Project and regular on The Project.
In 2022, Nazeem toured nationally with his new show, Hussain That?, selling out nationally.. Nazeem will also return as host of the new season of The Pineapple Project.
Furthermore, Nazeem will enter the literary world with the release of his first hilarious new children's book series, Hy-larious Hyena, through Scholastic Australia, out on October 1, 2022.

Zoë Coombs Marr is a performer, writer, artist and comedian. She grew up in Grafton, where she and her best friend staged a musical instead of going to schoolies week.
Zoë has performed stand up comedy extensively in Australia, London and New York. Her solo show, Trigger Warning, won the 2016 Melbourne Comedy Festival Award for Most Outstanding Show as well as the Golden Gibbo, and two Green Room Awards. It was also nominated for Best Show at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the 2017 Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Drama.
In 2008 Zoë completed a double degree in Performance Studies at UNSW and Fine Arts at COFA, where she was awarded the Dinosaur Designs Prize and the Art and Australia Award. Her video works and sculptures have been exhibited at a number of galleries, including First Draft, Kudos and King's ARI and in 2006 she won the National Poetry Slam Championships under dubious circumstances.
In 2012, her solo theatre/comedy work And That Was The Summer That Changed My Life was awarded the Philip Parsons Young Playwright Award and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Zoë is also one third of the contemporary performance company post. Most recently, post's work Oedipus Schmoedipus was presented at Belvoir for Sydney Festival, Arts House Melbourne, and won a Green Room award for best experimental text. post's other works include: Who's The Best? Zoë filmed Trigger Warning as part of the Next Gen series, was a regular panel member on Dirty Laundry Live, and has also been seen on Cram (Ten), ABC'S The Chaser's Media Circus, How Not To Behave, Backseat Drivers, and Live at Bella Union (SBS).
In 2017, Zoë's theatrical collaboration with Ursula Martinez and Adrienne Truscott, Wild Bore, premiered at the Malthouse Theatre and went on to be performed at the Soho Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe and at the Skirball Centre at NYU.
Since 2013 Zoë most frequently appeared in comedy circles (including in her award-winning show Trigger Warning) as Dave, a retrograde male comedian with a neck beard. But in 2018 she appeared as herself, sans Dave's neck beard, with her hit festival offering Bossy Bottom. Born in Cardiff, Chris Addison grew up in Manchester where he attended the Manchester Grammar School before going on to study at the University of Birmingham. Following his graduation in 1994, he put ambitions to direct theatre on hold and "drifted into stand-up comedy" which became his full-time job in 1996. He wrote and performed eight one-man shows at the Edinburgh Festival, gaining two Perrier Award nominations and going on to turn two of the shows ('The Ape That Got Lucky' and 'Civilization') into series for BBC Radio.
He moved into acting in 2005, with the role of Ollie Reeder in Armando Iannucci's BBC sitcom The Thick of It (2005). Subsequent roles have included the Cameron-esque evil headmaster David Blood in three series of Skins (2007), Seb in Doctor Who (2005) and the hard-living porn Svengali Tony Power in Michael Winterbottom's movie The Look of Love (2013). In 2016 he took and co-wrote the spoken role of Smith in Emanuel Chabrier's opera 'L'Étoile' at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
During the final series of The Thick of It (2005), he made his directorial debut and subsequently went on to direct many episodes of HBO's Veep (2012), for which he won the Directors Guild of America Award in 2016 as well as an Emmy nomination. In 2015 he won an Emmy for his work as Executive Producer on the show.
