Early Rock, Adult Contemporary , R n B and Country were also featured with the appearances of Jerry Lee Lewis, The Everly Brothers,Tony Bennett, Eydie Gorme , Lou Rawls, Jerry Butler, Sonny James and others

There was no set host during this period, and various guest hosts, usually a singer or comedian, presided on a weekly basis. There were several theme shows during "Music Hall"'s run, among them "A Taste of Funny, " hosted by Groucho Marx, "The Golden Age of TV Comedy, " hosted by Milton Berle, and "The Best of Broadway, " hosted by Henry Fonda. Frequent guest hosts included Berle, Eddy Arnold, John Davidson, and the singing team of Tony Sandler and Ralph Young. The Country Music Association Awards were first run as a special edition of the Music Hall in 1967. A victim of the general decline of weekly variety shows, "The Kraft Music Hall" was cancelled in 1971.

In later years the series presented a number of hour-long in-concert specials featuring leading Australasian acts such as Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons, and Split.Enz, and a number of these were recorded in stereo and simulcast in FM stereo on local rock stations in each capital ciry. The original series theme was Bob Seger's eponymous song, but this was later replaced by an excerpt from Steely Dan's "Parker's Band". The series was produced and broadcast from the studios of Channel 7 in Melbourne, and was shown on most Seven Network stations. Sadly, although the series.chronicled one of the most vibrant periods in Australian rock, much of the series was broadcast live, and few if any master tapes have survived. A DVD compilation of the series was issued in the 2000s, but this was largely sourced from surviving domestic off-air VHS recordings of the show.

Rage has no presenter except on Saturdays shows when rage has musicians as guest VJ's. Rage won "Best National Music Video Programme" in the 1991 Australian Music Industry Awards. It repeatedly wins "Most Popular Australian Music TV show" in the Australian Music Awards. In 1998, rage released a double cd compilationand in November 1999 a second double cd compilation was put together. Rage often plays old episodes of Bandstand & Countdown hosted by Molly Meldrum.
