Unsold pilot: In 1967 he starred in a sitcom pilot called "Rhubarb" based on the novel of the same name by H. Allen Smith, about a cat that owns a baseball team.

Produced by Max Gordon. Note: Show was one of the biggest hits of the dismal 1930-31 season, closing after 272 performances in June, 1931. Historically significant as introducing balcony spotlighting instead of footlights, a technique soon adopted universally on Broadway.
