Tig Notaro has never had to tell the same jokes for so long, but her latest comedy special, Hello Again, arrives March 26 on Prime Video — well over four years after she first started touring the material. “My God, it just would not end,” says Notaro. “I couldn’t wait to be home with my family, see friends, do my ridiculous podcast and just work on new material around Los Angeles. I’m maybe doing one show once a week, and that feels so manageable.”
Such a time loop is especially odd for a woman whose career changed so much over such a short period. Twelve years after her now-famous Largo set, during which Notaro walked onstage and revealed a breast cancer diagnosis, she’s gone from cult comic to household name. She acts (Star Trek Discovery, The Morning Show), rents party buses with famous pals like Allison Janney, co-hosts a popular podcast (Handsome,...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 10, Episode 9 of “The Masked Singer,” “Disco Night,” which aired Nov. 29 on Fox.
Former O-Town member Ashley Parker Angel had set aside performing in recent years to focus on his health and wellness company, High Level. But when “The Masked Singer” came calling, he couldn’t resist: “It was a hell yes, right from the start,” he told Variety.
Angel was revealed on Wednesday as the latest celebrity to participate in Season 10 of “The Masked Singer.” He appeared on the show as the S’more, this week performing “That’s the Way (I Like It),” by Kc and the Sunshine Band.

This Post Contains spoilers for this week’s episode of Fox’s The Masked Singer.
On The Masked Singer Season 10’s disco-night episode, it seemed fitting to begin with the Saturday Night Fever hit “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps. During the Group A finals Wednesday night, S’More, Cow, and Gazelle took audiences to funkytown with upbeat tunes, glittering pantsuits, and disco-decorated dancers. In the end, S’More lost his groove and was revealed as O-Town’s Ashley Parker Angel, which panelist Jenny McCarthy guessed correctly.

The LALAPaRuZa lip sync smackdown has become one of RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s most iconic challenges, as queens compete against each other in jaw-dropping lip syncs to keep their spot in the competition. Season 15 of Drag Race had a larger-than-life LALAPaRuZa, with queens performing to songs such as Anitta‘s “Boys Don’t Cry” and Joan Jett’s “Do You Wanna Touch Me.” Some of the songs in the lip sync tournament have been used on Drag Race in the past.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 15 continued on February 17 with the next step in the competition toward discovering “America’s next drag superstar.” Last week, the infamous “Daytona Wind” soap opera was rebooted as a sitcom, but Aura Mayari was unable to gather herself in the comedic challenge and was sent home. This week, the 10 remaining girls are put to the ultimate performance test in a “LipSync Lalaparuza Smackdown.”
Seated at the judges’ dais for episode 8 was Emmy winning host RuPaul Charles, longtime bestie Michelle Visage and recurring judge Ross Mathews.

Is that blood in the water? No, it's a bloodbath!
The claws came out, and the stunts were brought to the main stage on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 15 Episode 8.
No one is safe during the Lalaparuza. We were on the edge of our seats to see how this round would turn out. (And it didn't disappoint!)
"LipSync Lalaparuza Smackdown" packed plenty of high tension and energy into one round. Fans of the lip-syncing eliminations would love this competition.
There are no Maxi Challenges to throw the queens off. No runways to judge the taste level. The decision is all about lip-syncing, something the queens get paid to do on a daily/weekly basis.
I love this tournament!
RuPaul's Drag Race has done variations of this Maxi Challenge. Whether battling it out as a twist or a knockout-style tournament, the drama will always whittle down to one queen getting the boot.

Friday night brings the big finale of “RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race” Season 2, and going into the last round of competition, it really is anyone’s game.
Poppy Love (aka Backstreet Boy Aj McClean), Thirsty Von Trapp (aka “Ugly Betty’s” Mark Indelicato), and Chakra 7 (aka “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” alum Tatyana Ali) are running neck and neck as they compete for the crown.
“Aj not only came out of the box really strong, he remained really strong,” judge Michelle Visage told TheWrap when we spoke with her and co-panelist Ross Mathews on Thursday (you can watch our conversation above). “Poppy, you know, we’ve said this on the show — she’s one of those queens that we know is going to kill it every time.”

"RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race" invites celebrities to compete in drag without revealing their identities - which, of course, makes for a lot of fan speculation as to who's who. Now, the wait is over, as the contestants of season two all shared their identities on the sixth episode, which aired on Sept. 16.
"RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race" is a spinoff of "RuPaul's Drag Race," which has currently run for 14 seasons, not including six "All Star" seasons. In the first season, each episode involved a competition between three different contestants competing in various "Drag Race" challenges. Season one's winners were Jordan Connor, Vanessa Williams, Matt Iseman, Alex Newell, Dustin Milligan, and Hayley Kiyoko. Meanwhile, Jermaine Fowler, Nico Tortorella, Loni Love, Tami Roman, Madison Beer, and Phoebe Robinson were runners-up.

In the last episode of Ru Paul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race, we saw Poppy Love continue her domination of the competition as she claimed her second win in two episodes! I personally, thoroughly enjoyed her performance of “Show Me How to Burlesque” from the iconic movie Burlesque where they showcase their incredible dance-based skills! On the other end of the completion was surprising Thirsty Von Trap and Electra Owl with the latter revealing herself to be the singer-songwriter, Taylor Dayne! In the first episode of this season, I was a bit disappointed in the fact that there was little to no theme that tied together each of the separate performances. There was some improvement last week when the idea of “dance” was used with the queens showing their own dance skills (specifically the aforementioned Poppy Love and Chic-Fi-Lay) but I did think that this theme was extremely...

HBO Max’s “The Staircase” marks the fifth collaboration for music supervisor Randall Poster and creator Antonio Campos. Poster says that the journey has helped build a musical rapport. When it came to finding the perfect needle drop moments for the true-crime series starring Colin Firth and Toni Collette, Poster looked to music that would help tell the story rather than rely on the musical tastes of the characters.
“The Staircase” retells the death of Kathleen Peterson, played by Collette, from a fall from a staircase in her home. Husband Michael Peterson (Firth) was convicted of murder in 2003. He was eventually released but to this day nobody knows exactly how Kathleen died.
Set around the events of 2001, Poster’s primary challenge was how to use music to tell that story as the story jumped back and forth in time within a short period. Poster says, “The challenge was how to...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 6, of “The Masked Singer,” “The Double Mask-Off — Round 2 Finals,” which aired April 13 on Fox.
The mystery of host Nick Cannon’s missing shirt wasn’t solved on Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” but the show did send one more disguised celebrity to its final round. That meant that two more contestants were eliminated in a double exit on this week’s show: Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman as the Armadillo, and Jennifer Holliday as Miss Teddy.
Armadillo aka Chapman was voted out after singing the traditional hymn “Amazing Grace.” Previous songs he performed included “Secret Agent Man,” by Johnny Rivers and “I Fought the Law,” by the Bobby Fuller Four.
As for Holliday, as Miss Teddy, she sang “Mercy,” by Duffy. Before that, she performed “Tell It to My Heart,” by Taylor Dayne, and “Tell Me You Love Me,...

As much fun as it is to watch the celebrities perform on “The Masked Singer,” we get even more enjoyment from figuring out who they are. That is especially true if we can crack the mystery of who is hiding inside a costume before the four judges.
Season 7 of “The Masked Singer” promises to be the most competitive yet. The producers have packed the line-up with 16 stars performing inside 15 costumes (a pair were paired up as Hydra). They are divided into three types, the Good, the Bad and the Cuddly, and performed in groups of five. Group A is down to just one star still standing, the Firefly. Group B sang for the first time on March 30, with Lemur unmasked as supermodel Christie Brinkley. On April 6, we saw the exit of Hydra, who turned out to be magicians Penn & Teller.

The moment comes after Miss Teddy belts out Demi Lovato‘s “Tell Me You Love Me” in the upcoming April 6 episode of Fox’s reality TV show. The orange bear is the last representative of Team Cuddly in Group B, after Lemur (aka Christie Brinkley) was eliminated last week.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 4, of “The Masked Singer,” “Masking For It — The Good, the Bad and the Cuddly — Round 2,” which aired March 30 on Fox.
It was a brief, but eventful, tenure on “The Masked Singer” for supermodel Christie Brinkley, who was revealed on this week’s episode as the Lemur. According to Brinkley, she was ill the actual day of the performance on the show.
“I had a real bout of food poisoning the night before,” she told Variety. “And so I was running on empty that morning.”
Brinkley was the first celebrity to depart during Round 2 of Season 7, which means she only got to perform one song on the show: “I Feel the Earth Move,” by Carole King.
But according to Brinkley, that wasn’t the original plan: She was set to sing “Dream a Little Dream,” “with a really cute choreography and everything,...

The latest round of The Masked Singer had us seeing triple. Five—or more?—new mystery celebrity contestants took to the stage, aiming for a spot in the finale. The episode was highlighted by a performance by Team Bad's Hydra, a three-headed dragon who sang Train's "Hey, Soul Sister." It was unclear to the entire panel if Hydra was one person imitating three voices, or three separate people underneath the gigantic costume. Hydra's clue package featured a shark, a pack of gum, a beach ball and a Magic 8-ball that said "ask your amigos." Miss Teddy, representing Team Cuddly, performed an inspired version of Taylor Dayne's "Tell...

Since galvanizing standup comedy with the arrestingly personal 2012 album “Live,” Tig Notaro has been a trusted source of joy for those who prefer their chuckles with a side of achingly real musings on life’s unavoidable hardships. The improvised half-hour, which famously begins with “Hi, I have cancer…” and proceeds to imagine God musing, “I think she can take a little more,” set a new high bar for vulnerability in comedy.
From “Nanette” to “Inside” to mental health jokes proliferating on sweaty basement stages, vulnerability is the new comedic currency. Lest traditionalists be dissuaded, Notaro is first and foremost a comedian, and a very funny one at that. All “Live” did was elevate her brand of dry observational comedy on mundane topics — from ‘80s singer Taylor Dayne to the spelling of “diarrhea” — to the near-divine.

The Masked Singer is down to this season’s “Spicy Six,” and what a deep well of vocal talent is bubbling underneath those egregiously large costume heads! Dare I say that this season’s final six contestants are even stronger than Season 4’s highly impressive mix (which, if you’ve forgotten, was Tori Kelly, Aloe Blacc, LeAnn Rimes, Nick Carter, Taylor Dayne and Chloe Kim)?

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for the Season 4 finale of “The Masked Singer.”)
“The Masked Singer” ended its fourth season tonight with the crowning of a new winner of the show’s Golden Mask trophy — and the first winner of its Golden Ear trophy.
As viewers who have been keeping up with the show already know, “The Masked Singer” introduced the Golden Ear trophy at the start of Season 4, with host Nick Cannon explaining that one panelist — either Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger or Robin Thicke — would win the prize at the end of the season based on who had the most correct “first impression” guesses by the finale.
On Wednesday’s two-hour season closer, we learned that McCarthy had won the coveted prize — well, less coveted than the Golden Mask trophy, but pretty important to the judges competing for it. The overall competition was won by Sun, who...

Popcorn proved she had a voice like butter in her last appearance on “The Masked Singer” on November 11. Back then she made it into the final six competing on December 2 by winning her Smackdown against the Snow Owls. After Popcorn nailed her cover of “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” by Bryan Adams, the Snow Owls were revealed to be country singer Clint Black and his actress wife Lisa Hartman.
Popcorn was in peril on episode 7 when the four judges were not won over by her cover of “Domino” by Jessie J. That song was not suited to her powerhouse vocals. Popcorn had shone earlier in the competition with her rendition of the Pink chart-topper “What About Us” on the premiere episode and her cover of the Harry Styles ballad “Falling” on episode 3.
We’ve watched all of those performances by Popcorn again as well as her clues videos.
