Earlier this week, retired NFL star Michael Oher accused Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy of tricking him into a conservatorship and taking all the proceeds from the Oscar-winning film The Blind Side based on his life story. The family responded with allegations of their own on Tuesday, accusing Oher of threatening to go public with his claims unless they paid him $15 million.
In a lengthy statement through attorney Martin Singer (via TMZ), the Tuohys called Oher’s claims “outlandish” and “absurd,” adding that “the idea that the family ever sought to profit off Mr. Oher is not only offensive, it is transparently ridiculous.”
“In reality, the Tuohys opened their home to Mr. Oher, offered him structure, support and, most of all, unconditional love,” the statement continues. “They have consistently treated him like a son and one of their three children. His response was to threaten them, including saying that he...

Back in 1987, writer/director Rick Roessler and producer Jerry Encoe teamed up to bring the world the slasher film Slaughterhouse (watch it Here) – a movie that has been a favorite of mine ever since I rented it on VHS at a very young age. Roessler always had thoughts of making a sequel, but it never made it into production… Until this year. Roessler was inspired to finally get Slaughterhouse II rolling after Quentin Tarantino held a screening of the first film at his New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles and the screening drew in a full house.
The original Slaughterhouse starred Don Barrett and Joe Barton as Lester Bacon and his pig-like son Buddy, who turn to...

When it comes to the Eighties we tend to have rose-tinted glasses when it comes to horror. If a film makes lots of money and gains a fan base then it is more than likely that some cheap imitations will appear to try to make a profit off expectations. Slaughterhouse is a film that feels like it fits very much in this category, though on repeat viewings surprisingly becomes quite charming.
