In a game that promised to be tighter than the final scoreline, Ireland eventually romped home to a four try victory against Scotland, with the game finishing 32-14 at the Aviva.
In what was a terrific first half that saw the two packs battle ferociously and saw momentum swing to and fro, Ireland went in 22-14 ahead courtesy of tries from captain Rory Best, Eoin Reddan and an Andrew Trimble effort. The pick of the tries, however, undoubtedly came from Scotland’s Richie Gray. The Lions second row elect showed terrific power to break the line initially and then showed deft of hand and quickness of feet to sell full-back Rob Kearney a dummy to maraud over the try line. The Scottish pack competed gamely in the first half, but Gray was a solitary shining light for Scotland for the full 80 minutes.

As the latest case of Linsanity spreads to the White House, New Yorkers are continuing to celebrate the phenomenon with everything from Shake Shack specials to Lin inspired drink concoctions (Lintini, Lin and Tonic, etc.) Now it appears as though Jeremy Lin's extraordinary rise may have also inspired an end to the ongoing war between Time Warner and Madison Square Garden.
The New York Times notes that as Knicks tickets skyrocket in price and Madison Square Garden's stock sees an all-time high, 2.5 million Time Warner Cable customers have been shut out of the Linsanity. Frustrated fans starving to catch a glimpse of the excitement on their televisions have been locked out and forced to repeatedly hit refresh to stay on top of games.
Chinatown residents wishing to cheer on their Asian-American star, and without very many sports bars in the neighborhood to go to, have been especially disappointed and ultimately...

London, Oct 3: Here's a fan who is so obsessed with 'Material Girl' Madonna that he has spent around 40,000 pounds on the pop diva's memorabilia in 26 years.
Flight attendant Michael Blair, who lives with his parents in Bradford, West Yorkshire, has a huge hoard of pop star's memorabilia, which includes 70 CDs, 372 records, 350 magazines and 150 cassettes over the years.
The most priced item of the lot is a rare 'Erotica' picture disc that he bought for 2,200 pounds.
Blair, 36, admits that he has been Madonna's fan since he was 10 and has kept his treasured collection in fire-proof boxes which are valued to be at 60,000 pounds.
"If something new becomes available, I just have to have it," the Sun quoted.

For one team a Quarter-Final with New Zealand or France awaits, for the other, the departure lounge. Despite the many permutations created by who wins Georgia vs. Argentina, the most likely scenario will be who ever wins this game goes through to the knock-out stages joined by Argentina.
Bonus points and points difference could ultimately be crucial, but both teams will be looking to win outright. And this attitude has been reflected in the teams selected. Scotland have named a strong and dynamic side, looking to run the ball as they have endeavoured to for the whole of the World Cup, much to their credit.
Six changes see Captain Alaistair Kellock return to partner Richie Gray in the second row, strong scrummager Euan Murray returns to tight head and nippy Mike Blair to scrum half. The hard running Sean Lamont is moved to centre with Simon Danielli taking his place on the wing.
