Ian Fleming may have drawn inspiration for 007 from an Elizabethan spy named John Bond. A diary has been discovered detailing the missions undertaken by the aristocratic agent, The Telegraph reports. Fleming went to prep school in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset, where the Bond family is based, and it is thought he may have heard legendary tales of the 16th Century spy.
