- Hal Roach Studios signed singer William Brady to a long-term contract in early 1937. Publicity photos shot by the studio included some with Roach Studios actress Rosina Lawrence although no films are known to have been with Brady at Roach Studios at that time.
- William Brady had been a student at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he occasionally sang at local theaters. Spotted by a talent agent, he was brought to New York where he became popular singing at restaurants such as The Paradise, House of Morgan, and Versailles. Hal Roach Studios signed him to a long-term contract in early 1937.
