Shane Dawson, whose primary YouTube channel has been active for close to a decade, has received his share of hate over the years. Sometimes, other creators will rip into his content, deriding his videos and detailing the reasons why they dislike him.
But what if Dawson were to confront one of his haters? Would they still confront him with vitriol, or would they soften up? Those were the questions the YouTube star looked to answer as he invited one of his detractors, fellow YouTuber Bobby Burns, to his house. The results of their encounter are now available in a three-part series that can be found on Dawson's channel.
Burns first came to Dawson's attention after the former creator uploaded a video criticizing the latter's conspiracy videos. Burns accused Dawson of capitalizing on current YouTube trends and bemoaned his "terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible content."

It’s been eight years since Susan MacTavish Best was burned in a tragic fireplace accident.
In January 2009, she invited friends over to her chic San Francisco apartment one chilly evening for a Robert Burns-themed dinner party complete with poetry readings in front of her fireplace and custom cocktails. Guests departed her home around 10:30 p.m. — but for MacTavish Best, the night was far from over.
The hostess was tidying up her apartment after the party with the help of one last, lingering friend when the accident occurred. She bent over to tend to her fireplace when it exploded,...

January 25th — also known as Robert Burns Day — is celebrated with a proper Burns supper in honor of the famous bard, who wrote many renown Scots poems. Since 1801, Burns Night can be both a simple dinner with drams or a high falutin’ festival with traditional Scottish bagpipes, Scottish delicacies, drunk poetry and more drams of good Scotch whisky. We've had a few trailers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and we're getting to that point where fans are starting to do fun things with them. For your consideration, two such fan works - Rogue One as Friends and Rogue One as a Beastie Boys music video. CineMash's Bobby Burns put together a version of the Rogue One trailer to the Friends theme song by The Rembrandts, complete with title card and credits. The concept didn't really make sense to me (I know stuff has been put to Friends before) but it still kinda works. There's also this other fan edit by Matthew Longua. I'm of the mind that Beastie Boys "Sabotage" is way overused in everything but I guess there's a reason for that. Give it a watch. I'm still waiting for a fan (or, you know, Disney/Lucasfilm) to make a trailer that explains to more...

Queen Elizabeth, pub-goer? The monarch surprised diners in a Scottish pub when she popped in for a meal while she was staying in Edinburgh. The Queen, 90, and two guests dined at the historic Sheep Heid Inn (the oldest pub in Scotland) in Duddingston last Friday. The monarch was staying at her official residence in Scotland, Holyroodhouse, which is about three miles from the pub. Earlier in the day, she visited the racecourse at Musselburgh on the outskirts of the city as part of the track's 200th birthday celebrations. The 650-year-old pub ("Heid" means "Head" in the Scots language) said they...

The Outlander season 2 premiere is beautifully performed, non-stop emotional turmoil...
The first season of Outlander was largely devoted to Scottish Jacobite intrigue, seen through the eyes of the outlander of the title, Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a nurse from 1946 who finds herself thrown back two hundred years in time, away from husband Frank (Tobias Menzies) and into the arms of new husband and laird-in-hiding Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan). After a particularly nasty entanglement with Frank’s ancestor, Black Jack Randall (also played by Menzies), Jamie and Claire flee to France, at which point the first season ended.
Anyone familiar with Diana Gabaldon’s books, particularly Dragonfly In Amber on which this season is based, will be some way prepared for how this second season opens, but perhaps not ready for how well it is done. It’s forty minutes of nearly non-stop emotional turmoil, beautifully performed by...

Outlander, based on the bestselling book series from Diana Gabaldon, follows Claire Randall (Catriona Balfe) who sets off on a trip to the Scottish Highlands with her husband, Frank (Tobias Menzies) in 1946. The pair are looking to reconnect after the trauma of the Second World War in which she was a nurse and he worked for British Intelligence. However, circumstances beyond their control sees Claire whisked back in time to the 18th century and straight into the turbulent clashes between the British Redcoats and the Scottish Highlanders. Granted protection by the Scots, she forges a relationship with the dashing Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and changes her future in the process.

You have to give it to YouTuber, Bobby Burns, this was a smashing idea that was turned around on short notice. I'm sure there are more than a few fans out there who would prefer West and Reeve over Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. While we'll never see West's Batman and Reeve's Superman light up the silver screen together, we'll see modern interpretations of these characters on March 26, 2016 when director Zack Snyder unleashes his vision of the World's Finest to the masses.

The first Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer has been given a retro makeover, with two iconic superhero stars reprising their roles.
In a recreation by YouTube account Bobby Burns, Christopher Reeve and Adam West take over from Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck and appear as Superman and Batman.
Footage from the pair's time as the two superheroes is played on top of the original dialogue from the newly-released trailer - with fantastic results.
The first full-length trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was recently officially released after it was leaked online.
Cavill reprises his role of Superman while Ben Affleck steps into Batman's shoes.
Jesse Eisenberg will also feature as villain Lex Luthor, an egomaniacal business magnate determined to achieve world domination.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open in cinemas worldwide on March 25, 2016.

This weekend the first teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released, and it was met with a lot of mixed reactions from fans. Some people (like me) were excited about what they saw, while it didn't seem to strike a chord with others. Thanks to You Tube user Bobby Burns, we have a retro-style recut of the trailer that is sure unite the fans! It features a mashup of footage from the Christopher Reeve Superman films and the classic Adam West Batman series. The end result is fantastic.

Like most big trailers before it, the new "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" teaser has gotten a retro makeover, trading in special effects for practical ones and shiny new suits for the campy-looking classics.
The clip, courtesy of YouTuber Bobby Burns, features images of iconic actors Christopher Reeve and Adam West playing their own versions of Superman and Batman from their movies and TV show, respectively. We see Reeve flying around the globe gloomily as whispers from the original trailer wonder if this alien is really a savior, or the devil in disguise.
While Batfleck then enters the picture in the actual trailer, we meet West's version instead, running around with Robin and sliding down a firepole before he growls out to the Man of Steel, "Do you bleed? You will."

Holy retro reboot, Batman! While DC and Warner Bros. officially released the first Batman v Superman trailer this past week, one crafty fan decided to take it to the next level. Taking footage of Christopher Reeve and Adam West as the old-school Man of Steel and Caped Crusader, he created a retro version of the trailer, which we should.ve all expected considering, you know, this is the Internet. Bobby Burns is a self-described filmmaker, film critic and general lover of films, though he.s also handy when it comes to making viral-friendly mash-ups. He recut Pixar.s Up in the style of a horror movie, he recut the original Star Wars movies in the style of the Force Awakens trailer, and he made a pretty stellar "The Dark Knight Vs Avengers" critical analysis that has racked up nearly 50,000 views on YouTube. Hey, remember when Up scarred you for life and led you to never trust Disney films again after you watched the first 15 minutes? Well, here is a trailer for Up that will scar you…but in a different, more twisted kind of way. YouTuber Bobby Burns put together a horror movie spoof starring the characters of Up, and with some creative editing and voiceover additions, he turned the wholesome, uplifting Pixar film into something truly terrifying. Just check out the tagline for his Disney-horror mashup creation: "What if Carl wasn't such a nice guy?" That's a question we never want to know the answer to, especially after seeing this creepy-ass video.

Dumfries And Galloway: home of the Doonhamers.
Whether you’re a student at the town’s University campus or a born and bred local, there are a number of things that make Dumfries a completely unique place to live.
The town isn’t big on change and neither are the surrounding areas making this Scottish Borders town fiercely hold on to its historical past. The town is soaked in history and did you happen to know that Robert Burns spent some time here? You didn’t? Well let me show you to his house!
Regardless if you’re from Moffat or Castle Douglas you’ll be able to appreciate the sheer number of characters that Dumfries has to offer, especially down by the Vennel and on the WhiteSands during an evening or weekend.

YouTuber Bobby Burns has created a great Guardians of the Galaxy trailer that's basically a mashup with J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser. It uses the audio from the Star Wars teaser and the visuals from Guardians of the Galaxy. It's pretty awesome to see how well these two franchises fit together, especially when the John Williams score kicks in! I feel, and I'm sure that 18th Century Scottish poet Robert Burns would agree with me, that people who don't like haggis are fundamentally untrustworthy. Sure, you can hear what haggis is and get a little freaked out. If you're a wimp. A renowned Scottish actor and director, he regularly commentated on state occasions for BBC television
Tom Fleming, who has died of cancer aged 82, was an outstanding figure in the Scottish theatre of the second half of the 20th century, the first television "face" of Jesus of Nazareth in a 1953 mini-series, and well known as a BBC television and radio commentator at many royal and ceremonial occasions since he first broadcast, for the BBC, during the Queen's coronation in 1953.
He was a Baptist lay preacher, a deeply private man of great moral integrity and stature. This much was clear not only on stage but also as he spoke in his flawless, rich and velvety baritone voice at the funerals of Diana, Princess of Wales, and the Queen Mother. So assiduous was he in his properly felt sense of duty that he declined the invitation to appear in a play by Mikhail Bulgakov...

Today, January 25, is Rabbie Burns day, the glorious time when the sheep's pluck is turned into haggis, paraded with a chorus of bagpipes, given the powerful address, plated with neeps and tatties, and served with a wee dram, or ten, of whiskey. To commemorate the affair, Scots far and wide throw on their kilts, play their bagpipes, recite Burns' "Address to a Haggis," and dig into the classic Scottish dish (which is basically a spicy meatloaf of sheep's innards -- it's delish, I swear).
This being a movie site and all, I wish I could shower you in films to mark the occasion, even if you can't or won't take a taste of haggis. Alas, ol' Rabbie...

Nintendo's innovative interface technology for the Wii explored new territory when "Wii Fit" starting helping people to lose weight. Now, a project backed by the Department of Homeland Security may use the Wii Balance Board to screen for terrorists at airports. Future Attribute Screening Technology (Fast) attempts to find biological and behavioral signals in potentially threatening passengers, and the Wii's floor-based peripheral has been used in the $20 million system as a fidgeting monitor.
"There's been a large field of research that ties your physical reactions to your mental state, your emotional state. We're looking for those signals that your body gives off naturally," the project's manager Robert Burns told CNN.
If tests using the Balance Board prove fruitful, researchers hope to find a level of fidgeting identified by the controller that signals the need for further screening.
