Frank Caden(1922-1999)
- Additional Crew
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
- Production Manager
Frank Caden came to New York in the 1940s from Chicago, Illinois where
he was one of the original actors from the Goodman Theatre, with
Geraldine Page. Frank decided to head to New York where he hit the
streets of Manhattan, working in places like 'Chock full of Nuts' while
pursuing his acting career. Frank was soon approached and asked to take
on a role as Stage Manager for NBC. He accepted and took this role very
seriously. So Frank and the Peacock had a nice long career together at
NBC. They did The Hullabaloo show, Hallmark Hall of fame, Howdy Doody,
Johnny Carson in New York. He saw Space shuttles go up and Presidents
go down. Frank also took on the role as husband to Edna and dad to
Mary, Pamela and Randy - a very vivacious family. He was a man of many
talents and never was there a dull moment when Frank was around. Frank
took the world by its heels and did a damn good job. We laughed and
cried and enjoyed each moment of it.
