Director David Findlay’s ability to create short films and music videos that not only look gorgeous but query the human condition on a deep level is why we can’t get enough of him here at Dn. His latest work, a music video for musician/skateboarder Austyn Gillette, is Leaning into your Palms. This isn’t your typical music video however with Gillette performing his song to camera, instead he and Findlay weave a narrative about two siblings, a brother and a sister, who share a moment of reflection through time. It’s really compelling and through some clever camera tricks Findlay is able to pull off some mesmerising shots. In our interview below Dn chats with Findlay about these shots in addition to his collaborative process with Gillette and the joy of working with Titane’s Agathe Rousselle to create his ruminative music video.

The first time Jemima Kirke saw a YouTube video of Alex Cameron, she immediately told her agent she had to meet him. “It was half professional and half date,” she says. “I basically asked my agent to play Cupid.” She met the Australian singer-songwriter at a party in Manhattan in 2016, and it wasn’t long before the two began dating and brainstorming ideas for a project to work on together. “She said that she wanted to collaborate, and I was dead serious about it,” Cameron says. “I’m ready to work.

It looks like Jemima Kirke has gotten herself a new man. The Girls alum was photographed kissing Australian musician Alex Cameron in New York City earlier this week, months after it was revealed that the actress and husband Michael Mosberg, with whom she shares two children, had split after seven years of marriage. Jemima and Alex have not commented on the nature of their relationship. They were also spotted together at her sister Domino Kirke and Gossip Girl alum Penn Badgley's wedding, E! News has learned. The two had wed in June for the second time, following a ceremony in February. Jemima, whose father is former Bad Company and Free...

If you’re not going, there’s plenty to envy — and if you will be in attendance, you owe it to the world to share as much as you can on social media.

With all the awards attention that Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty has been getting, it’s rather refreshing to see critics choose different winners for Best Picture. That’s exactly what critics from San Diego and Las Vegas have done, picking Argo and Life of Pi, respectively, as the Best Films of 2012.
Apparently each group Really liked their Best Picture winners. San Diego critics also gave Argo awards for Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Editing. Las Vegas Critics also gave Life of Pi Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Score, and the Youth in Film award.
Could we be seeing the end of Zero Dark Thirty‘s reign already? After the Screen Actors Guild nominations this morning, I’m having doubts about its Best Picture chances. For 17 years, SAG has been giving out its Best Cast in a Motion Picture award, with only one instance...
