Exclusive: Corey Fogelmanis (Ma) has been tapped to lead the drama I Wish You All the Best, based on Mason Deaver’s bestselling 2019 novel of the same name, which Tommy Dorfman will write, direct and produce for Ace Entertainment.
Others set for Dorfman’s first feature, which had previously cast The White Lotus‘ Alexandra Daddario, include Miles Gutierrez-Riley (The Wilds), Amy Landecker (Your Honor), Judson Mills (Westworld), Lexi Underwood (The First Lady), Lisa Yamada (Never Have I Ever) and Brian Michael Smith (9-1-1: Lone Star).
I Wish You All the Best will have Fogelmanis play the creative, bright and introverted Ben, a non-binary teen who has spent their life pretending to be the perfect “son” to their ultra-religious Southern parents. When Ben is kicked out of the house and moves in with their estranged sister, they embark upon a journey of self-discovery that teaches them about love, friendship and family.

While it may sound like just another new entry in the already overcrowded zombie subgenre, with two of today’s cinema’s greatest tough guys together in a fright flick about redneck hunters fighting flesh-eating rage zombies, I’m willing to give Infected a chance.
Synopsis:
An annual relaxing outing in the countryside becomes anything but after a blood virus infects a group of hunters, turning them into bloodthirsty maniacs. Now the pack of survivors must thwart off the creatures in order to see daylight again. Infected is a true, but wickedly twisted, tale of survival in the wilderness.
“Boardwalk Empire” badass William Forsythe and Reservoir Dogs ear aficionado Michael Madsen, along with the fetching Christy Carlson Romano (Mirrors 2, “Kim Possible”), star in this walking dead in the woods chiller from Inkubus director/co-writer Glenn Ciano.
Infected begins contaminating DVD and VOD on April 9th, courtesy of Screen Gems.

Director: Glenn Ciano.
Writers: Glenn Ciano (story), Carl V. Dupré (screenplay).
Cast: Robert Englund, William Forsythe and Joey Fatone.
Legendary icon Robert Englund simply loves being bad in the movie Inkubus. The movie's title is also the name of a fictional demon that Englund plays. But for the actor, he shows just how debonair any malignant force can be. For this self-prescribed harbinger of chaos, he is after retired Detective Gil Diamante (William Forsaythe). Apparently these two squared off many years ago, but something happened which let this evil force get away.
After some time has passed, Inkubus has decided that the time has come to finish what that cop has started. When he shows up at a precinct holding the head of a dead girl, he admits to being the true killer. The individual the officers have in custody is not the one. In fact, he’s going to be the next victim.

Murder, gore and mayhem ensue as two giants of the horror genre, Robert Englund and William Forsythe team up for the first time in supernatural horror thriller Inkubus, which will be released by Trinity X on DVD in the UK on Monday February 6th 2012.
Directed by Glenn Ciano, making his feature film debut, the movie tells the story of the demon Inkubus (Englund) who is hell-bent on destroying the one man who almost captured him thirteen years ago, Detective Gil Diamante (Forsythe). As it's been doing for years now, the Rock and Shock festival in Worcester, Massachusetts, delighted fans again this past weekend (October 14-16) with three days filled with screenings, celebs, and music. If you are a horror fan on the East Coast, this is your Graceland.
For those unfamiliar with the event, let me lay it out for you. You stroll into the beautiful Dcu Center in Worcester and enter a Mecca of horror. I was personally lucky enough to walk in just as horror author Joe Knetter was hitting his stride during a book reading. Knetter may indeed be the funniest guy at the entire event. Really entertaining!
As you stroll the vendor area, you find absolutely anything related to horror you could possibly want ... custom fitted fangs, theatrical contact lenses, artists, filmmakers, T-shirt booths, website representatives like the guys from Killerreviews.com ... you name it. It's there.

Dread Central is currently at Rock and Shock in Worcester, Massachusetts, and has gotten a real scoop! Film producer Chad A. Verdi, who brought us the weekend's main event, the Robert Englund-fueled vehicle Inkubus, a film about an demon that is part Assault on Precinct 13 and part Ghoulies, dropped a huge bomb on us: He wants his next film to be based on a true crime story. That of Amanda Knox.
"I've offered $1 million to Amanda Knox for the rights to her story," Verdi said. "If she's innocent, let's prove it to the world." Amanda Knox is, of course, the American student who was incarcerated for the last four years in Italy, accused of a brutal murder.
Verdi made a splash at Rock and Shock as the producer of Inkubus, which wowed the audience. First-time director Glenn Ciano does an outstanding job helming the project, which includes such big-name actors as Englund,...

"You've got the body…I've got the brains." That was the scene that did it for me. We've all got our favorite Freddy Krueger moment ... Nancy in the bathtub, Johnny Depp getting sucked into the bed, the cockroach transformation scene or even "Welcome to prime time, bitch!". But the one that stuck with me was Krueger peeling back the top of his head, revealing a pulsing brain, while reciting that line to a screaming Jesse in A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge.
Thinking back, I can remember sitting in the Gash household with my younger brother (we'll call him Patient Zero), working a remote control that had three buttons and was wired to the Vcr, replaying that scene until the tracking button could no longer control the interference. It was classic.
But whatever your favorite Freddy moment, we have one man to thank for them all. Robert Englund...

Glenn Ciano will not be stopped. With an incredibly infectious energy level and a "by any means necessary" filmmaking attitude, this director is brimming with excitement about the theatrical release of his first feature film. And the lucky bastards at this year's Rock and Shock horror movie and music convention, will be the first to bear witness to Ciano's creation, Inkubus starring Robert Englund.
"I wanted it to be something a little different," Ciano says of Inkubus. "Kind of a throwback to the '80s's genre flick. A little bit of nuts and guts with two powerhouse performers in Robert Englund and William Forsythe."
And with names like that attached to his first feature film, Ciano had to be sure to excel in the director's chair every time out. "I had to approach it head on and give fans, guys like me, something to cheer about again," Ciano said. "Robert is unbelievable.

The awesome Peter Facinelli had some very good luck at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff). Peter’s new movie, Loosies, has found a Us home in IFC and should get a release date in December. Read more below:
IFC is picking up U.S. rights to drama “Loosies,” starring Peter Facinelli (“Twilight”) and Jaimie Alexander (“Thor”), and plans a December release.
“Loosies,” shot last summer, centers on a successful pickpocket in New York City who roams the city disguised as a stockbroker — until confronted with a recent one-night stand who tells him she’s pregnant with his child. Facinelli penned the script five years ago as an homage to New York, with the ideas coming to him as he walked the streets.
Project was produced by Chad A. Verdi of Verdi Prods. along with Facinelli, Noah Kraft and Glenn Ciano. Michael Madsen, Vincent Gallo and Joe Pantoliano also star with Michael Corrente (“American Buffalo”) directing.
Cmg is selling foreign rights at Toronto and held a screening for buyers Thursday. Facinelli told Variety prior to the screening that he was inspired by several prominent films: “Midnight Cowboy,” “The Sting” and “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”

Cmg is selling foreign rights at Toronto and held a screening for buyers Thursday. Facinelli told Variety prior to the screening that he was inspired by several prominent films: “Midnight Cowboy,” “The Sting” and “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.”

The minutes are ticking away until the 8th Annual Rock and Shock in Worcester, Massachusetts, and updates are starting to come fast and furiously (like an angry greyhound in heat). The festival is scheduled for October 14-16, and we've gotten word of two more guests being added to the already impressive list as well as a world premiere film. Read on, New Englanders. Like having the Red Sox and Patriots dominating their respective sports isn't enough. Now you get the most kickass horror convention in the Northeast as well. Well played, Worcester. Well played.
We've got to start the announcement with the addition of Uncle Creepy's hero (just look how ridiculously happy he is standing next to him), "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, to the guest list. You read that right; Roddy Piper will be at Rock and Shock. The man who made wearing kilts popular again. The man who cracked...

Michael Madsen ('Reservoir Dogs', Kill Bill'), William Forsythe ('The Devil's Rejects', Rob Zombie's 'Halloween', and Christy Carlson Romano ('Mirrors 2' - nude shower clip link available below!) all have something in common; they are trying to keep their distance from the 'Infected', a breed of non-generic zombies born from a parasitic 'tick' virus. The new zombie flick, from writer director Glenn Ciano ('Inkubus'), recently cast the sexy model/actress/director Lily Haze (below) in the upcoming movie. And it appears Miss Haze is developing a new documentary about the parts women have traditionally played in the horror genre. An exploration of female roles in film and literature, including graphic novels, with a nod to their intrinsically fetishistic nature. Madsen may do a lot of bad films so you can say what you want, but he's still a bad*ss. Now he's signed on to to star in a film directed by Glenn Ciano which sounds a little bit like Shatter Dead, where the zombies consciousness is still intact, but in this one, they are conscious of what their violent acts. Variety reports that "Infected" centers on a father and son who have to fight to survive against a deadly, rapidly spreading blood virus, but we've one upped them and have found a full blown synopsis:
Every year, Andrew Murphy and his father, Terry, are first to arrive at the Hunting Club. With the help of long time friends, they prepare the cabin for the start of deer hunting season. Deep in the woods, cut off from civilization, they spend a long weekend cleaning, rekindling old friendships, and hunting.

Actor Michael Madsen is making his living lately by dabbling in the bizarre world of low-budget terror tales. While we're happy to have him plying his trade to our genre, it is hard not to hope that the quality of the roles that he's choosing picks up a bit. Maybe his next film, Infected, will do the trick!
Variety reports that Madsen has just signed on to star in the zombie opus Infected for Verdi-Corrente Prods, who also have the Robert Englund starrer Inkubus on tap for us later this year.

He may not be Freddy anymore but Robert Englund isn’t letting his horror status die one little bit. The actor may have put his knifed glove in storage but has now signed on to an indie horror film called Inkubus. It’s a small film directed by Glenn Ciano and he is part of a cast that includes William Forsyth, Michelle Ray Smith and Joey Fatone who was once part of very successful but absolutely terrible boy band N’ Sync.
Inkubus tells the story of a group of police officers that are part of the final shift at a soon-to-be-torn-down police station. Instead of a quiet last shift eating doughnuts the group are surprised when a demon called Inkubus walks in carrying a severed head. Inkubus begins confessing his many crimes, which date back to thousands of years before.
Filming has already begun in Rhode Island. I must admit that I love this premise.
