- Paul Coyne was born in Boston, Massachusetts but grew up in Milford, Massachusetts, where he experienced a quintessential suburban childhood. He credits this time in his life with his ability to produce shows that the average American is entertained by. Coyne attended Fitchburg State College, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where he studied film and TV. He first worked as an assistant editor, then editor, and finally as a producer of a number of reality shows and documentaries. He has twice been nominated for the Emmy Award, for his work on Survivor and Beyond Scared Straight. He has received 4 consecutive American Cinema Editor "Eddie Award" nominations, winning for the MTV series If You Really Knew Me.
He has worked on several top reality series, including Survivor, The Amazing race, Big Brother, The Bachelor, Beyond Scared Straight and The Joe Schmo Show.
