The Great British Bake Off contestant Martha Collison has addressed her "inedible" creation featured in Wednesday's (September 24) show.
The 17-year-old, who is the latest departure from the baking competition, came last in the technical challenge which involved making a povitica dough.
On An Extra Slice, Collison joked with host Jo Brand about the disastrous bake.
She said: "Inedible... something you want to aim for on Bake Off!"
Collison wasn't the only person to have a mishap with the dough, and she told Brand that she "didn't feel too gutted as we just laughed about it".
"I knew I was in trouble, five out of five is not a great place to be," she continued.
Praised by the show's guests for the passionfruit and chocolate doughnuts she brought along with her, the student was later quipped as "a child genius without the weirdness" by comedian Hal Cruttenden.

At 45 years of age, Hal Cruttenden is unlikely to be called 'fresh blood'. Like many before him he's put in the time, died his fair share and dealt with the ambiguity of the comic circuit; a circuit that is unforgiving by nature. And yet, as I come to write this (overdue) review of Hal's current national tour, 'Tough Luvvie', I can't help but feel that Mr Cruttenden is exactly what the industry needs right now.
Entering Wolverhampton's 'Slade Rooms' - the calmer, cosier option to its big brother The Civic - an immediate lack of knowledge was apparent. While I'd followed Hal's movements sporadically over the years, enjoying enough of his 'Mock the Week' and 'Live At The Apollo' appearances so as to keep me informed, I knew little of his style or relevance. Thankfully, this was an unfounded worry, as Hal graced the stage with such boisterous charm and...

Jimmy Carr has defended Mock the Week after it was recently criticised by Ross Noble.
Noble called the programme "terrible" and took issue with its lack of improvisation and "pages and pages" of scripts used by the panellists.
> Jimmy Carr's top five stand-ups: Louis Ck, Sarah Millican, more
Despite having never appeared on the show himself, Carr told Digital Spy ahead of the Royal Variety Performance (November 25) that he enjoyed the comedy panel quiz.
"I'm a big fan of lots of different types of TV. I think Dara [Ó Briain] is an exceptional performer," he said.
"He's just a great comedic mind, brilliant guy, and I think the show's great. What's not to like?
"I think there's always that thing of anyone in comedy can go, 'Oh, it was better in the old days when Frankie [Boyle] and Russell [Howard] were on it'.
"You know, they've reinvented it and they've got new people...
