Amy Duggar King is responding to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s statement blasting the new docuseries about the scandal-plagued family.
“Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” — which is a four-episode series exploring the truth behind The Duggars, stars of the TLC series “19 Kids and Counting”, who were part of the radical religious organization The Institute in Basic Life Principles (Iblp) — is streaming on Prime Video now.
Jim Bob and Michelle said of the doc on their website, “The recent ‘documentary’ that talks about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those with ill intentions hurting people we love. Like other families, ours too has experienced the joys and heartbreaks of life, just in a very public format. This ‘documentary’ paints so much and so many in a derogatory and sensationalized way because sadly that’s the direction of entertainment these days.

It's already been 5 weeks since a dramatic, 70-hour delivery brought baby Israel David Dillard into the world.

"Don't worry," Derick, 26, joked in the caption. "We won't be doing these weekly photos until he's 18."

When Mother's Day comes to the Duggar house, the celebration is, well, Duggar-sized.
"Oh boy, do we ever celebrate," Michelle Duggar, 48, tells People exclusively. "We definitely do. Jim Bob and the kids come up with all kinds of ideas."
For the matriarch of the famously expansive clan, which stars in TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, Mother's Day usually includes over a dozen handmade cards, no cooking for mom (she might get one of her favorite meals – chicken and dumplings) and all "being together as a family," she says. Husband Jim Bob, 49, helps the kids with all the preparations, she says.

In her time as a student midwife, Jill Dillard helped to deliver close to 100 babies. As she approached the birth of her first child with husband Derick Dillard, however, that knowledge became a bit of a burden.

Though Jill (Duggar) Dillard has had years of experience with babies, both as a student midwife and as a sister to 15 younger siblings, she's found out there are some things you have to go through yourself.
"There are a lot of things that seem different than I thought they would be," says Jill, 23, who gave birth to son Israel David on April 6. "I have just asked my mom a lot of questions about what is normal and what to expect."
Jill's mom Michelle, 48 – who has 19 kids with husband Jim Bob, 49 – has been through pregnancy, birth, recovery from cesarean sections (she's had four) and nursing.

#BabyDilly (aka Israel David Dillard) is the first child for Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard, and while mom pretty much knew what to expect, her hubby needed a bit of a parenting primer.
