If you're familiar with "Gone Girl," "The Woman in the Window," or any dramatic Lifetime movie surrounding bored housewives, murder and hefty amounts of booze, then you'll get the vibe of "The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window." Netflix's dark comedy series is a parody of all the mystery subgenre's familiar tropes about women essentially not being believed, trying to solve a murder on their own, and being gaslit by pretty much everyone in their inner circle.

Almost as soon as The Woman in the House‘s central mystery is resolved, a second mystery reveals itself involving The Woman in Seat 2A.
The limited series’ finale begins with Anna convinced that Buell is the killer. But upon entering Neil’s home, she finds the simple-minded handyman bleeding out on the floor (don’t worry, he lives) and a slain Neil past the point of resuscitation (R.I.P.). That leaves just one possible culprit: Neil’s 9-year-old daughter Emma (played by Samsara Yett), who confesses to Anna that she killed her pregnant mother, her unassuming teacher and her father’s girlfriend Lisa.

"I just want things... to get back to normal." Netflix has revealed the full-length official trailer for a horror comedy series titled, in full: Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window. This looks like the best mockery of horror since the Scary Movie series. From creators Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson & Larry Dorf, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window is a darkly comedic, wine-soaked, satirical slant on the psychological thriller that will have you guessing who, where, why and how in the hell?! until the very end. The story follows a heartbroken woman, who just sits at home and stars out the window and drinks wine, watching life go by. Until she witnesses a murder... Or did she? This is making fun of The Woman in the Window and The Girl on the Train and all of these.

Kristen Bell is no stranger to solving crimes.
She spent four seasons and a movie as Veronica Mars.
But the latest trailer for The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window shows Bell in a very different role than before.
The name of the show is quite the mouthful, and if there was ever an award for worst-named TV show, we're sure it would win.
You probably have some idea about what the show is about from the title, but here is the official logline:
For heartbroken Anna (Kristen Bell), every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her.
But when a handsome neighbor (Tom Riley) and his adorable daughter (Samsara Yett) move in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Kristen Bell has found her next TV project, where she has proven to be a guaranteed draw in popular comedies like “Veronica Mars” and “The Good Place.” Now Netflix is getting in on Bell’s massive audience appeal, and the streamer is giving Bell the chance to experiment with something a little darker.
Sporting a title so long it may be as hard to forget as it is to remember, “The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window” is billed as a “satirical slant on the psychological thriller” about a wine-loving woman who witnesses a murder. The first official trailer offers a glimpse of the unique tightrope the show attempts to walk and shows how suited Bell is to the macabre comedy.

Kristen Bell is boozing it up and trying to solve a murder in the full trailer for her upcoming psychological thriller The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl in the Window. Created by Rachel Ramras, Hugh Davidson, and Larry Dorf, The Woman in the House is a darkly comedic and wine-soaked satire that follows Bell’s Anna who lives her life one day at a time in the exact same way. Heartbroken and stuck in a rut, Anna spends most of her time drinking wine, staring out the window, and watching life pass her by. (Credit: Netflix) Things begin to change for her once a handsome new neighbor (Tom Riley) moves in across the street with his daughter (Samsara Yett). When Anna thinks she begins to see the light at the end of the tunnel, she witnesses what she believes to be a murder. But did she really?...

Why Should I Watch? The beginning of the end starts with a premiere episode titled… “The Beginning of the End.” Jason Bateman’s breakthrough dramatic turn — as Marty Byrde, an accountant-turned-money-launderer who flees to the middle of Missouri with his family to make big profits for his cartel lord clients — will come to a close in 2022 via a supersized final season. Part 1 premieres January 21 with eight episodes, before the last eight entries debut at a later date. By now, you know if you’re onboard with the dark crime saga, and if you don’t, knowing the end is right around the corner should be reason enough to get going. Just take your time. Unlike the Byrdes, who were last seen in the bloody embrace of their unpredictable boss, you’ve got a bit of breathing room.
Bonus Reason: Laura Linney. Everyone who’s seen...

Kristen Bell sees dead people — or does she? — as the title character in Netflix‘s The Woman in the House.
Ordered to series on Tuesday by the streaming giant, The Woman in the House stars the onetime Good Place resident as Anna, a heartbroken woman for whom every day is the same. (We’ve all been there, amiright?!) Per the official synopsis for the darkly comic thriller, Anna “sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor moves in across the street, she starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Lionsgate is capitalizing on its recent acquisition of 3 Arts Entertainment by setting up two multi-camera comedy series prospects for Fox from talent repped by the management-production firm.
Both projects will be co-productions with Fox Broadcasting Co. The orders for these projects and others are a sign that Fox intends to continue developing scripted series even as its parent company awaits a big transition in selling off other studio and network assets to Disney.
“Uncle Joey” stars comedian Joey Diaz as a Cuban immigrant with a troubled past who moves to an upscale suburb to raise his daughter. “King of the Hill” alums Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin penned the script and exec produce with Diaz and 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg, Jonathan Berry and Josh Lieberman.
“Significant Brother” revolves around a newlywed couple whose life is changed when the brother’s estranged gay brother moves in and becomes best friend with his wife.

TV Land has opted not to renew comedy series Nobodies for a third season.
The series, executive produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, originated on TV Land, which renewed it for a second season in January 2017, ahead of the comedy’s March 2017 debut. After one modestly rated season on TV Land, Nobodies was relocated to sister channel Paramount Network for Season 2.
Nobodies‘ sophomore season was slated to premiere on March 29, a couple of weeks into the run of Paramount Network’s Heathers. When the latter was pushed (it was eventually permanently shelved), Nobodies was on its own, and after two low-rated airings on Paramount Network, the series returned to TV Land where its numbers perked up and Season 2 finished a fraction ahead of Season 1 in Live+same day. Still, the comedy remained behind TV Land’s flagship original comedy series, Younger, recently renewed for a sixth season, and Teachers.
