Andrew Scott, the hot priest on Fleabag, is showcasing his sense of humor and joked about fans who are still watching the series five years later.
The actor joined Season 2 of the comedy series, becoming Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Fleabag’s love interest. Ahead of the fifth anniversary since the series finale, Scott has a thing to say to those who have continued to obsess over his character and the show.
“Go out and get some fresh air,” Scott told EW, laughing. “Stop watching. Stop crying. Stop crying in your room with your curtains closed. Do something better with your life. It’s a great show, we all love it, but come on now, pull yourself together. Open the curtains and go outside.”
Andrew Scott has a message for people still watching #Fleabag.

In 2021, Pointless fans had to come to terms with the fact that change is the only constant in this crazy, crazy world when the show’s co-creator and co-host Richard Osman left to pursue other career opportunities such as being an incredibly successful crime novelist, and taking the main seat on his own game show Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Good for Richard Osman, it all seems to be very going well for him. But for Pointless?
Taking its cue from satirical current affairs show Have I Got News For You?, which settled on a revolving carousel of guest hosts when its regular host Angus Deayton was forced to step down instead of plumping for a permanent chair, Pointless has welcomed a series of co-hosts in the past couple of years.
First up were Sally Lindsay, Stephen Mangan, Lauren Laverne, Alex Brooker, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble. Next came Andi Oliver,...

What’s your favourite Taskmaster task? Did it result in a delicious failure or a triumphant win? Was it a crafty solution from a cunning mind, or a bonkers, impractical response that could only have come from the brain of John Kearns?
We asked our writers to nominate their favourites, in order (and not including Prize Tasks because that’s already been covered here), and collated the results into the Top 50 below. With 15 series proper, two Champion of Champions specials, and multiple New Year’s Treat episodes, there were approximately 89,000 tasks to choose from, hence a nice, neat 50.
If you’re at all concerned about the scientific robustness of our approach, rest assured that Google Sheets formulas were used in the creation of this list, resulting in an entirely accurate ranking order that cannot be questioned. Well alright, you can question it.
So, what are the best Taskmaster tasks of all time?...

Warning: This contains spoilers for Not Going Out
Back in 2015, during a BBC Breakfast interview about series seven of Not Going Out, presenter Bill Turnbull asked Lee Mack: “Did you ever imagine when you first got that pilot that you’d get seven series?”
“I didn’t think we’d even get a series,” Mack answers incredulously, explaining that even going from script to a pilot episode felt like “the biggest hurdle”.
And yet, eight years later (17 since the show began in 2006), Not Going Out has now almost doubled its series from seven to 13, still regularly pulling in audiences of over four million, with the newest series arriving on BBC One on Friday 23rd June at 9pm. As ever, the show will focus on Lee Mack as a fictionalised version of himself, alongside his landlady-turned-wife and sparring partner Lucy, and their eventful and often farcical life together.

Mock the Week, which ran for over 20 seasons on the BBC in the UK, is coming to the U.S.
Amazon Freevee has greenlit a U.S. version of the show exec produced by Trevor Noah and Dan Patterson, who was responsible for the British series.
It comes after the show, which is a mix of a panel show and stand-up comedy format, ended in the UK last year.
The series sees two teams of comedians take a satirical swipe at current news, pop culture, and world events.
In the UK, it was hosted by Dara O’Briain, and featured the likes of Hugh Dennis, Rory Bremner, Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard and Chris Addison. It originally launched in 2005 and was created by Patterson and Mark Leveson, who were behind Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Every year, there comes a point when the UK comedy industry suddenly becomes abuzz with whispers. Word gets about that the producers of Mock the Week are in town. They’re scouting out stand-up shows for new talent – and you could be next. “Everyone’s going, ‘You know they’re looking’,” comedian Maisie Adam tells me. “You suddenly ended up going to every gig feeling like you’re in those early episodes of X Factor, queuing up outside.”
When it was announced in August that the BBC was canning Mock the Week after 17 years, in order to “create room for new shows”, online discourse exploded. People questioned what the show ending in its current format (the team are optimistic it’ll find a home elsewhere) meant for the BBC, for the panel show format and for satire as a whole. But for comedians, the end of Mock the Week represented...

Amazon has released the first trailer for the second season of the acclaimed Phoebe Waller-Bridge comedy “Fleabag.”
The new trailer teases the addition of “Sherlock” star Andrew Scott as a Catholic priest who “jolts [Fleabag] into seeing the world in a different way,” and “Killing Eve” star Fiona Shaw as Fleabag’s therapist.
The new set of episodes comes nearly three years after the first season, with a break for Waller-Bridge to create and write the first season of BBC America’s “Killing Eve.” Now, having handed over the reins of that show, “Fleabag” is heading back to Amazon on May 17.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s self-destructive, sex-addicted Fleabag tries to find salvation, or something close to it, in the new trailer for Season Two of Fleabag, returning to Amazon Prime Video May 17th. Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s brilliant Fleabag Season 2 premieres on Amazon this week. Here’s a rundown of season one.
This article comes from Den of Geek UK.
“I have a horrible feeling that I’m a greedy, selfish, apathetic, depraved, morally bankrupt woman who can’t even call herself a feminist”
We meet Fleabag (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) mid-shag with Arsehole Guy (Ben Aldridge), so named for his delight in anal sex (and presumably because he’s also an arrogant arsehole). Through asides to camera and flashback, she recounts her recent break-up with live-in boyfriend Harry (Hugh Skinner), a recurring event in which he moves out of their flat but comes back when she calls. He left this time due to her Barack Obama-related masturbation. She gives herself 48 hours tops before Harry returns.

Kristin Scott Thomas and Fiona Shaw will make guest appearances in the upcoming second season of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s BBC and Amazon comedy “Fleabag.” Series creator and star Waller-Bridge said: “They literally begged me to be in it. Begged me. Begged. One of them was crying.”
“Phoebe Waller-Bridge cannot be ignored,” said Scott Thomas (“The English Patient”). “She manages to hit core issues with sledgehammer brutality as she trips along with a spring in her step. I laughed helplessly as I binge-watched the first brilliantly funny series and enjoyed being aghast at times.”
The guest role reunites Shaw (“Harry Potter”) with Waller-Bridge after they worked together on BBC America’s “Killing Eve.” Shaw said: “Phoebe’s mind is like nothing else.”

Reaching film number four in this series of British school Nativity films is news enough. Just how is anyone’s guess? If there is a festive formula to this screen silliness, it is that us Brits love to cheer on an underdog at this time of year – even if that means encouraging more of Mr Poppy or his relatives to leap out of the woodwork. No, Marc Wootton as the infantile teacher has not returned. Meet Simon Lipkin, his cousin, Jerry, this time around.

He then tests the hypothesis, starting with a loaf of bread, a bunch of bananas and a silver espresso maker. Into the trouser leg they go, followed by a parade of unlikely items - a cheese grater, a bottle of orange squash, an unwieldy marble bowl. Every so often, a hand reaches out from the camera to assist. It belongs to comedian Alex Horne, seen intermittently in the back of shot drinking a coffee and checking his watch.

Before it became a six-episode UK comedy series, Fleabag was a play, and you can still see that theatrical DNA in the series, which debuts on Amazon tomorrow. The unnamed title character, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge (who wrote both the play and the series), frequently looks away from the action to tell us how she feels about it, and the story — a mix of romantic travails, family tension, and a bit of concern about the fate of the guinea pig-themed cafe Fleabag owns — is so very small that it's easy to imagine it being confined to a stage. Waller-Bridge and director Harry Bradbeer have opened it up so that a good bit of the story takes place outdoors or in big spaces, including an episode where Fleabag and her sister Claire (Sian Clifford) attend a women's retreat at a country estate very much resembling Downton Abbey. But the most cinematic...

Hugh Dennis reckons Outnumbered will return for a number of special episodes.
The family sitcom aired on BBC One for five series, before it ended last year in March.
Speaking on Loose Women, Dennis said: "I think it's completely done as a series - but there will be specials.
"I'm confident there will be specials."
When asked what it was like filming the last episode of the final series, Dennis commented that he wasn't aware that it was the end.
"We didn't know," he explained. "As far as I remember, there were various scenes in the last show and there was one little bit of dialogue, where I turn to [Claire Skinner's character Sue] and go, 'We've not done badly, have we?' And you think, 'Oh, that sounds a bit [final]'.
"But we weren't formally told, as far as I remember, until after we recorded it, which was probably quite a good thing.

David Tennant and Rosamund Pike play the put-upon parents of three kids in this feature-format development of Outnumbered
It’s impossible not to enjoy this big-hearted and sweet-natured British family movie from Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin – effectively a feature-format development of their smash-hit BBC TV comedy, Outnumbered, which pioneered semi-improvised dialogue from the children. It creates a terrifically ambitious (and unexpected) narrative with a tonne of sharp gags. I would have liked to see Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner reprise their roles as the mum and dad, but because we have all seen their fictional children grow up on the small screen that is not really feasible. David Tennant and Rosamund Pike are Doug and Abi, the troubled parents of three boisterous kids: they’re heading up to Scotland for the 75th birthday of Doug’s unwell dad, Gordy (Billy Connolly), which means staying with Doug’s uptight brother,...

We've been dreading this day, the day when we finally have to cut the apron strings and let go of the kids from Outnumbered. Sorry, we thought we'd be able to stay strong but it's just too...*dabs eyes with hankie*
Yes, after five series, the show's child stars Tyger Drew-Honey (Jake), Daniel Roche (Ben) and Ramona Marquez (Karen) are starting to dwarf their on-screen parents Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner, meaning it's time to bring the beloved BBC sitcom to an end. It's been a whopping 30 years since Spitting Image first hit our screens on ITV in 1984. The satirical puppet show quickly became one of the most-watched shows of the 1980s and early 1990s.
I wasn't able to fully appreciate the series when it was first on TV. When I watched it in the early '90s as a child, I found it funny mainly because of the silly puppets, even if I didn't quite understand what was going on. But in retrospective viewings, it still holds up as a genuinely hilarious satire of politics, entertainment, sport and general UK culture of the era.
It's quite incredible to think that Spitting Image hasn't been on air since 1996. To put that into perspective, the Spice Girls had only just been unleashed, Tony Blair hadn't been elected yet, and Lorde had only just been born.

The Cartoon Museum has announced its Spitting Image - From Start to Finish exhibition.
Arriving later in February, it will mark the 30th anniversary of the launch of the satirical television show.

It will explore the collaboration between creators Fluck and Law - including their previous work for National Lampoon and Der Spiegle - with a collection of sketches and photographs.
Contributors to the show, which ran for 18 series up until 1996, included Ian Hislop, Harry Enfield, Rory Bremner, Hugh Dennis, Alistair McGowan, Kate Robbins and Chris Barrie.
