Michael Dana has directed films that have won Best Director and Audience Choice awards at film festivals around the US. As a director of photography, he has filmed many other short films and several feature films. He has had outdoor screenings of his work projected on buildings in NYC, as well as in Lincoln Center, and The Julliard School of Music. He was a camera operator on major motion pictures like Once Upon A Time in America and Requiem For a Dream. Michael also worked on various television shows including the hit HBO show, The Sopranos, and hundreds of national television commercials filmed around the world.
Having an eye for capturing emotional moving images for the big screen, Michael has begun exhibiting many of his still photographs at galleries in New York and Maine. In 2008 Michael established the FA Film Workshop to teach and share his experiences with students at Fryeburg Academy in Maine.
