Wiz Khalifa decided to make the Pirates baseball game a bit more interesting than usual.
The rapper threw the first pitch while high on magic mushrooms at the game against the Cleveland Guardians on Monday.
The rapper had already announced prior to the game that he was “Finna get stoned af and throw this first pitch at the pirates game” on Twitter.

A minute later, after throwing the pitch, he went back onto the app to share that, “Shroomed out throwin a baseball is crazy.”

Even though he was stoned, Khalifa was still able to get the ball over the plate. Before throwing the ball, he waved to fans in the stadium, as this video from MLB’s Twitter account shows.

Wiz Khalifa stopped at his hometown to throw the first pitch before the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Guardians game at Pnc Park in Pennsylvania on Monday.
According to Khalifa, however, the moment called for some extra festivities.
Before taking the pitcher’s mound, the artist tweeted, “Finna get stoned af and throw this first pitch at the pirates game,” and later added, “Shroomed out throwin a baseball is crazy.”

Wiz Khalifa had the honors of throwing out the first pitch prior to tonight’s Pittsburgh Pirates game — and he did so while on shrooms.
“Finna get stoned af and throw this first pitch at the pirates game,” the rapper tweeted prior to taking the mound. “Shroomed out throwin a baseball is crazy.” The magic mushrooms didn’t seem to have much of an effect on Khalifa’s abilities, as he managed to get the ball across home plate — albeit a bit outside.
Khalifa letter enjoyed some munchies in the form of Cracker Jack.
It’s worth noting that Khalifa isn’t the first person to take a Pittsburgh Pirates mound while under the influence. Back in 1970, Dock Ellis famously threw a no-hitter while on acid.
Earlier this month, Khalifa kicked off “High School Reunion Tour” with Snoop Dogg, Too $hort, and Warren G. The 33-city outing runs through the...

Exclusive: Excessive Force, a story about racism and corruption based on a story and script written by Jeff Kwatinetz and Ice Cube, is planning to go into production this fall with Carl Franklin at the helm.
Excessive Force, to be produced by Joe Roth and CubeVision, will star Ice Cube. The storyline of the controversial thriller is being kept under wraps, but we know it involves excessive force in the Cleveland police department and shines a spotlight on racism and systematic corruption.
Franklin, who has been busy as a TV director, directing episodes of Ray Donovan, Ten Days in the Valley, The Leftover and 13 Reasons Why, is attached to direct and CubeVision are budgeting the film now.
The project is the latest on a slate from CubeVision which is flush with development funds after sealing a deal earlier this year with strategic partner Aid Partners,...

On this day 47 years ago, Pirates player Dock Ellis pitched a no-hitter against the San Diego Padres. That feat in itself is Very impressive, but it turns out that accomplishment was even harder that it should have been, because 10 years later Ellis revealed that he was super high on LSD when he did it.
Now that incredible story is being made into a movie starring O’Shea Jackson, Jr. (Straight Outta Compton) as the title role of Dock. Deadline reports the role will be a difficult one for Jackson Jr.:
"The role of Dock Ellis is also a meaty one to play for Jackson Jr. The ball player was a colorful character — a highly competitive loudmouth who suffered no fools and called out racism when he experienced it. For instance, when he wore curlers in his hair at a workout, he was forbidden to do so ever again by the Mlb Commissioner.

One of the greatest sports anecdotes of all time is now being made into a feature film, as Deadline reports that O’Shea Jackson, Jr., who played his famous father Ice Cube in Straight Outta Compton, has been tapped for the starring role in Dock, a movie about former Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher and all-around fascinating dude Dock Ellis. Ellis—who played for the New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Texas Rangers, and New York Mets as well as the Pirates in his decade-long Mlb career—admitted after his retirement that he had never pitched a game sober, an impressive feat considering that he had helped lead both the Pirates and the Yankees to World Series wins.
Ellis’ most infamous exploit, though, is without a doubt the no-hitter game he pitched on June 12, 1970—exactly 47 years ago today—while high on LSD. Ellis had apparently forgotten he had to pitch ...

As the three guys enter the hotel room where I’m sitting waiting to conduct the interview, each of them opens up a bottle of beer. Sensing my surprise, Tyler Hoechlin, who plays the hyper-competitive McReynolds, looks to me and responds, “Don’t worry we’re not getting drunk on you. These are non-alcoholic beers today.” It’s an unexpected line coming from three guys who are some of the main attractions of the rowdiest party this spring.

Dock Ellis was an All-Star pitcher for the powerhouse Pittsburgh Pirates teams of the early 1970s, but he’s best known for a rather dubious athletic feat. On June 12, 1970, he pitched a no-hitter, one of only 286 in the history of the game. But most likely, his gem was the only one recorded while under the influence of LSD.
Ellis’s athletic accomplishments, his civil-rights activism, and post-baseball career—when he sobered up and counseled other addicts—are part of a new documentary that opens in theaters today, No-No: A Documentary. But there’s no getting around the LSD no-hitter. Ellis...

Ellis, for his part, became an anti-drug crusader before he passed a few years ago. Skip ahead to the present, as the feature-length documentary on the life of Dock Ellis and that legendary LSD-influenced no-hitter, opens in limited theatrical release today, after a film festival run that began with a world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
