- Wesley Eure was born on August 17, 1951 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Land of the Lost (1974), Days of Our Lives (1965) and Dragon Tales (1999).
- Was picked to succeed David Cassidy as Keith Partridge on The Partridge Family (1970). But this didn't work out because the series was canceled following Cassidy's departure.
- As a gimmick, he had himself billed as simply "Wesley" in the credits of Land of the Lost (1974). This ploy hardly worked as it was intended to; in fact, Eure regrets the effort to this day.
- ABC wanted Eure for the role of "Gopher" on The Love Boat (1977), but this fell through because NBC wouldn't release Wes from his contract (he was starring on Days of Our Lives (1965) at the time).
- From 1974-1981, he was the original Mike Horton on Days of Our Lives (1965).
- His stage work includes "West Side Story" (he was Action of the Jets) and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (in the title role).
- One of the biggest compliments I've gotten over the years came from a fan who said that, if "Land of the Lost" was any indication, Kathy (Coleman) and I would have made excellent "Doctor Who" companions. Granted, it might well have been fun to modify some of our catchphrases from the former show, IE "Run, Holly! Run; there's a Dalek!"
