- Syndication newspaper columnist Dan Thomas reported in February, 1935, that "Peggy Fears, Charles Lemaire and Lili Damita are making up Hollywood's latest threesome. - She was a theatrical star of the 1910's and 20's, performed with the Ziegfeld Follies and was popular in Manhattan café society. Unsuccessfully tried to break into films and later became a Broadway producer.
- Arranged for Mae Murray to move into a maid's room at Mae's old apartment building, Hotel Des Artistes in New York, when Murray was down on her luck.
