Michael Feeney was appointed to Executive Vice President, Corporate Communication for A+E Networks® in November 2013. Feeney is responsible for global communications for A+E Networks®, including acting as chief spokesperson and overseeing communications strategy and media relations for the A+E Networks® brands including A&E®, The HISTORY® Channel, Lifetime®, LMN(TM), FYI(TM), VICE TV, HISTORY en Español®, Crime+Investigation(TM), Military HISTORY® and LRW®, as well as A&E IndieFilms®, A+E Networks International®, A+E Networks Digital® and A+E Networks Consumer Products®. From January 2006, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and oversaw all external and internal communications, public affairs outreach, events and corporate marketing and communications.
In his current role, Feeney also has oversight of the company's philanthropic and community outreach initiatives. Following the merger between A&E Television Networks and Lifetime Networks, Feeney oversaw the award-winning logo design and corporate rebrand of the company to A+E Networks®.
Feeney joined A+E Networks® in 2001 as Director of The HISTORY® Channel Publicity and Public Affairs, overseeing all publicity efforts for HISTORY® brands. In 2004, he was promoted to Vice President of Publicity for A&E® Network and BIOGRAPHY®, spearheading communications strategy and media relations for the networks.
Feeney began his career as an NBC page in 1993. From 1993 to 2001, Feeney was promoted to numerous positions within NBC Corporate Communications, NBC News and NBC Entertainment Publicity in both New York and Los Angeles.
Honored for his communications strategy and contributions to the media industry, Feeney was named Public Affairs and Communication Executive of the Year in 2010 by Cablefax. He was also recognized by Multichannel News as one of the leading executives in cable television under the age of 40.
Feeney is a graduate of Marist College with a BA in communications.
